Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1285: Chapter 1287: When Patience Is Exhausted, There’s No Need to Endure Further_1

Bai Ruozhu’s heart leapt into her throat, but then she saw the silver light swept away by the White Tiger’s tail, falling to the ground—it was a small dart.

She quickly turned her head to look, and saw Jin Jing with a face full of annoyance and disappointment. It turned out that Jin Jing had thrown the dart, hoping to help Jiang Yichun ambush Sangta.

When Jin Jing noticed Bai Ruozhu looking at her, she immediately tilted her chin up provocatively and said, ”You can’t even help him, how are you worthy of being his wife? If it weren’t for you, he wouldn’t have had to confront Sangta.”

”Mind your own damn business!” Bai Ruozhu snapped fiercely, unable to tolerate Jin Jing’s stupidity any longer.

At that moment, the head of the merchant team also rushed over, blocking her and saying, ”Miss, how could you shoot a dark arrow at Sangta? Didn’t you see that they are in a duel and others shouldn’t interfere? Don’t cause big trouble for the merchant team.”

Jin Wanliang also glared at Jin Jing, who shrank back and muttered, ”I didn’t hit him, what’s the big deal?”

On the other side, Sangta burst into laughter at Jiang Yichun, ”That’s all you’ve got? You need your little lover to sneak in dark arrows while dueling me? Someone like you doesn’t deserve a good woman. I, Sangta, am the finest prince of the Barbarian Clan, and only with me will she not be wronged.”

”Bullshit! She doesn’t like smelly beasts, and certainly not evil demons who kill without blinking an eye. Just seeing you is disgusting enough,” Jiang Yichun retorted coldly.

A cold light flashed in Sangta’s eyes as Jiang Yichun’s words finally enraged him.

Jin Jing, anxious and stamping her foot, said, ”You wretched woman, just go with Sangta, and Bai will be fine. Since you’ve been trying to seduce Sangta, why pretend to be a chaste and strong woman now? Despicable!”

Bai Ruozhu staggered slightly, then slapped Jin Jing across the face with a sharp smack, and before Jin Jing could react, Bai Ruozhu backhanded her with another slap.

Then with one hand, she grabbed Jin Jing’s hair, and with the other, she pulled out a dagger and pressed it against Jin Jing’s throat.

”You think you’re worthy of scolding me? I’ve ignored you and you really start to think you’re someone important, always bragging about who your father is, who your mother is. Don’t you ever think that having you as a daughter is shameful enough for them?” Bai Ruozhu’s voice rose, and she pressed the dagger slightly harder, cutting a wound on Jin Jing’s neck, from which blood began to trickle down.

Terrified, Jin Jing screamed, ”What are you doing, let me go!”

The head of the merchant team frantically bowed to Bai Ruozhu and said, ”Madam Bai, Miss Jin is young and ignorant. Please give her another chance and do not harm her life.”

Bai Ruozhu was truly angry this time. Jiang Yichun and Sangta’s duel hadn’t reached a life-and-death point, and others hadn’t interfered; Jin Jing shouldn’t have broken the rules by using a hidden weapon, which also led to Sangta’s ridicule of Jiang Yichun.

Furthermore, Jin Jing had been causing trouble all along the journey. They were on a mission and had been tolerating her again and again. Now, Jin Jing was publicly sullying Bai Ruozhu’s chastity. There was no longer any reason to hold back. Killing Jin Jing would be justified.

Jianqi quickly positioned himself in front of Bai Ruozhu, fearing that the head of the merchant team might assault Bai Ruozhu. Chen Feng and the others guarded Jiang Yichun, while Muyu also came to protect another side of Bai Ruozhu, wary that someone from the Jin Family might attempt a sneak attack on Bai Ruozhu.

”Madam, this woman has a venomous tongue. If she’s not insulting you, she’s slandering you. Might as well cut off her tongue, so she can’t speak out of turn anymore,” Muyu said loudly.

Bai Ruozhu noticed Jin Jing trembling with fear, and the corner of her mouth lifted unconsciously. She released Jin Jing’s hair, grabbed her cheek, and forced her mouth open uncontrolledly.

The dagger approached Jin Jing’s mouth, terrifying Jin Wanliang and the head of the merchant team, who both cried out simultaneously.

”Hold on, let’s talk this through!”

Suddenly, Bai Ruozhu twisted the dagger around and scraped the dull side of the blade across Jin Jing’s mouth.

Jin Jing, her mouth being clamped, let out a miserable scream, followed by a foul stench drifting through the air. Bai Ruozhu looked down and saw that the girl had been scared into urinating...

Muyu burst into uproarious laughter, his mirth unsettlingly hearty, ”They say a dragon begets a dragon and a phoenix, a phoenix. In this case, even wetting one’s pants seems hereditary.”

The thing was, when Jin Wanliang had wet himself earlier, he had been on horseback, and his dark clothes made it less noticeable. But it was different for Jin Jing; she was standing, and today she wore a peach-pink skirt. Now, its hem was soaked in a large, yellow-stained patch. This girl’s urine was so yellow; she must be suffering from excess heat within.

Jin Wanliang’s face turned purple with rage as he pointed at Bai Ruozhu and said, ”Release my daughter at once, or my Jin Family Merchant Team will make you our sworn enemy!”

Bai Ruozhu sneered at him, ”Mr. Jin, don’t forget that I saved your life. I can give you a second chance to live, just as easily as I can take it back. Think carefully now.”

Did he truly think she was some saintly and naive fool who would save lives without expecting anything in return? She had only saved Jin Wanliang out of necessity, knowing he was a cruel man with a significant status. So when she saved him, she conveniently left him with a little something. Of course, whether it would act up depended on her mood.

Jin Wanliang had witnessed Bai Ruozhu’s medical skills and turned pale with fear. Despite his imposing style and unblinking nature when it came to killing, he was just like his daughter, afraid of death.

At that moment, Jin Wanliang couldn’t be sure whether Bai Ruozhu was bluffing or being serious.

Meanwhile, Sangta, who was fighting Jiang Yichun, laughed heartily, ”She’s indeed the woman I’ve set my sights on, brave and resolute! However, you needn’t dirty your hands with such trivialities. Go ahead,” he nodded at the panther beside him, gesturing towards Jin Jing.

The creature was a glossy black panther, its speed lightning-fast. Suddenly, it charged, and neither Muyu nor Jianqi could intercept it. Bai Ruozhu instinctively let go, and the black panther bit into Jin Jing’s leg, dragging her to the side.

Jianqi and Muyu rushed to protect Bai Ruozhu, but fortunately, the panther’s target was not her; it frenziedly bit and gnawed at Jin Jing.

Lin, the head of the house, reacted by nocking an arrow and swinging it at the beast, which dodged swiftly before biting Jin Jing and running towards the forest.

Jin Jing screamed in agony until her head collided with a tree trunk, knocking her unconscious on the spot. The panther then dragged her like a dead dog, with no resistance left in her.

”Quick, save my daughter!” Jin Wanliang cried out desperately, ”Whoever rescues my daughter will be rewarded 500 taels!”

With the promise of a hefty reward, brave souls followed Lin into the forest. After a while, a dark shadow emerged from the trees and returned to Sangta’s camp.

Bai Ruozhu’s eyelids twitched; it was that black panther, unscathed and eerily demon-like.

Suddenly, a group of people burst out of the forest, with Lin leading them, holding a barely alive Jin Jing. A servant beside him carried a bloody, severed leg that had been gnawed beyond recognition.

”Master, Lin says it might still be possible to reattach,” stammered the servant, holding Jin Jing’s mangled leg, his face pale with fear. He didn’t dare to discard it, so he sought Jin Wanliang’s decision.
