Abandoned Woman Busy Farming

Chapter 1277: Chapter 1279: Shamelessly Causing Trouble_1

Bai Ruozhu didn’t even glance at the fool. She had secretly sprinkled some drug powder on the shopkeeper’s guard that attracted beasts; if they didn’t leave the village, that would have been the real trouble.

Jiang Yichun also didn’t bother with Jin Wanliang, and took Bai Ruozhu by the hand to find an inn in the village.

This village was very small, and due to the living conditions, it was quite simple, but as this place was a necessary route to enter Gaochang City in the Western Regions, with frequent merchant team visits, the inn was not shabby at all. Although it wasn’t luxurious, there were plenty of rooms.

Chen Feng went to find the shopkeeper, and soon arranged rooms for everyone. After traveling in carts and sleeping in the open, everyone wanted to rest well in their respective rooms.

”Rest for a while first, we’ll call everyone to go down for dinner later,” Jiang Yichun arranged.

As everyone prepared to go upstairs, Jin Wanliang and his group followed them in. Jin Wanliang even nodded and greeted Jiang Yichun in an attempt to curry favor, but Jiang Yichun pretended not to see and went upstairs with Bai Ruozhu’s shoulder in his arm.

”Wife, you must be tired. Shall I massage you?” Jiang Yichun said with a smile, once they were in the room.

Speaking of which, her shoulders were indeed quite sore. Bai Ruozhu nodded and pinched her aching shoulders.

Jiang Yichun cheerfully began to knead her, but his hands soon wandered to other activities. By the time Bai Ruozhu saw through his wolfish ambitions, it was too late, and she had already been cleaned up by him from head to toe.

Speaking of downstairs, Jin Jing gave the shopkeeper some benefits, wanting to stay in the room next to Jiang Yichun. The shopkeeper immediately arranged it, but since the rooms on both sides were already occupied, she was finally assigned the room diagonally opposite Jiang Yichun.

Jin Jing rushed upstairs, ready to take any opportunity to act against Bai Ruozhu, and also to get close to Jiang Yichun.

Right, speaking of which, she hadn’t even had the chance to ask what the handsome young man’s name was. But the shopkeeper said they had registered as Young Master Bai.

Arriving at her own room’s door, Jin Jing didn’t hurry in; instead, she tiptoed over to Jiang Yichun’s door and began eavesdropping with her ears perked up.

Soon, her face turned pale; even though she was not married yet, the women of the Western Regions were much more open than those from Zhongyuan. She frequently traveled with her father on business, so how could she not recognize the sounds coming from inside the room?

Thinking of what the two people inside were doing, Jin Jing’s face burned with heat, but she was also furiously angry. Her small hands clenched tightly into fists, and her body shivered slightly. She would never allow that woman to sleep with the man she coveted!

With that thought, she took several deep breaths, then suddenly raised her hand and knocked on Jiang Yichun’s room...

At such time, if it were an ordinary woman, she would have avoided them, no matter how angry or upset she was, but Jin Jing grew up in a different environment and was very bold—or rather, very thick-skinned.

Someone inside who was vigorously toiling paused upon hearing the knock, though his actions didn’t stop, and he asked with an annoyed tone, ”Who is it?”

He had told Muyu not to disturb them too soon.

”Young Master, I am Jin Jing, the daughter of the merchant Jin you just saved. I was too worried about my father earlier and spoke without thinking, which angered you both. I’m truly sorry,” Jin Jing deliberately made her voice sound sweeter and a bit plaintive, hoping to attract the attention of the man inside.

Jiang Yichun, in the midst of his enthusiasm, immediately responded coldly when he heard it was the criminal’s daughter, ”Scram, don’t disturb our rest!”

Jin Jing was stunned, feeling extremely wronged, but she believed that Bai Ruozhu must have given that man love potions, and that’s why he was treating her this way in front of Bai Ruozhu.

She attributed all the defeat and shame in her heart to Bai Ruozhu, longing to immediately rush in, drag Bai Ruozhu out, and parade her through the streets for all to see.

”Young Master, I know I’m wrong, please stop being angry, just open the door, I’ll apologize to you face to face,” Jin Jing bit her lip and said stubbornly.

At this moment, Bai Ruozhu was so enervated by the person on top of her that she felt limp all over, but the matter was not yet concluded, and both of them were quite enthusiastic. Unfortunately, there was a woman outside the door pining for her man, which was a real mood-killer.

”Get lost!” This time, Jiang Yichun yelled out. If he weren’t preoccupied, he would have really rushed out to cut down the person at the door.

”But...” Jin Jing was being intentionally disruptive and, of course, refused to leave.

Bai Ruozhu pushed Jiang Yichun and said unhappily, ”It’s all your fault, making me feel so annoyed. Go deal with your troublesome love affair yourself.”

Jiang Yichun, too, lost his temper and refused to get up, his movements continuing, ”I won’t go, I haven’t had my fill yet.”

His voice was like a child pouting for not getting any snacks. Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help but let out a chuckle. If he didn’t want to go, then so be it. She decided to treat Jin Jing as if she were thin air.

Did Jin Jing think she could embarrass her like this? Bai Ruozhu sneered inwardly. She was a modern person, not some old-fashioned ancient; having intimate moments with one’s husband was perfectly normal, wasn’t it?

Thus, the two people inside the room completely ignored Jin Jing and continued with their own affairs. Jin Jing, after calling out at the door several times and being utterly disregarded, eventually made such a commotion that Jin Wanliang on the other side noticed and sent a servant to take her away.

After being busy for half the day, Jiang Yichun started to regret. He had purposely arranged for everyone to stay on the third floor for fear that they would interfere with the two of them, and they were only supposed to protect Chu Hai. Otherwise, someone would have dealt with Jin Jing at the door by now.

When it was time for dinner, Muyu came to invite them downstairs. Bai Ruozhu, being tormented to the point of soreness all over, shook her head and said, ”You go down and eat. Just make sure everyone avoids any conflict with the Jin family’s merchant team. Have someone send me up some porridge later; that’ll be fine.”

To be honest, she wasn’t quite accustomed to the food from the Western Regions, which also seemed to cause her to heat up, so she just wanted to drink some porridge.

Jiang Yichun had no choice. He arranged for several dark guards to stay nearby before he went downstairs.

Bai Ruozhu wanted to close her eyes and sleep a bit longer, but she was quickly awoken by the knocking at the door.

”Mrs. Bai, I would like to have a talk with you. You should be available now, right?” Jin Jing’s annoying voice rang out once more.

Bai Ruozhu frowned and hadn’t spoken when a guard appeared outside and said to Jin Jing, ”Our master instructed, no one is to disturb the lady. Miss, please leave.”

Yet Jin Jing refused to leave, calling out to the room, ”Mrs. Bai, are you so afraid to even speak a word? Are you scared I’ll eat you up?”

The guard, displeased, said, ”Miss, please leave, don’t disturb the lady’s rest!”

Indignant, Jin Jing pushed the guard. The guard, too, got angry, and the two of them actually came to blows.

Hearing the commotion, Bai Ruozhu had no choice but to get up from the bed, get dressed, and said, ”Stop it, let her in. I would like to see what this lady has to talk to me about that’s so important.”

The guard had initially held back to conceal his true strength; otherwise, he could have knocked Jin Jing down in less than three moves. However, Jin Jing didn’t realize this. She looked at the guard smugly and said, ”What pathetic guards, their skills are nothing special.”
