Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Old Master Fu listened quietly and sighed in his heart for a while.

He felt that Qin Xiu was a rare talent. Why was the Qin family’s eldest daughter-in-law speaking as if Qin Xiu had made so many mistakes?

Mrs. Qin lowered her head with red eyes and wiped the corners of her eyes with a tissue from time to time. Every word she said was filled with bitterness. ”This time, I’m really left with no other choice. I can only trouble you to help me talk to Xiu. He’s already 30 years old. Why is he still making me worry so much?

”Qin Ying is the same, and Xiu, who has always been obedient and sensible, followed suit. What sin did I commit for them to provoke me? Most of Xiu’s peers listened to their parents’ arrangements to get married and have children. Why is it so difficult for me? My husband doesn’t care, and the two elders don’t care either. I… I feel… uncomfortable.”

Mrs. Qin’s eyes were red as she wiped the corners of her eyes with a tissue.

In the face of Mrs. Qin’s request, Old Master Fu didn’t agree immediately. He personally brewed a new cup of tea for Mrs. Qin. After Mrs. Qin calmed down a little, he said, ”Since I watched Xiu grow up and you requested to meet me, I’ll tell you some things.”

Old Master Fu had a calm personality. He wouldn’t intervene in the matters of his family members, especially the marriage of juniors. He wouldn’t say anything.

However, the Qin family was not his family. The two families had known each other for decades and had been through thick and thin together. The brothers from the Qin family were like his nephews. Although it was inconvenient for Old Master Fu to interfere with some things, Mrs. Qin had already come to initiate a conversation with him. Old Master Fu sighed slightly and decided to voice out.

When Mrs. Qin heard this, she immediately sat down elegantly. ”Please speak.”

Old Master Fu looked at Mrs. Qin with his wise eyes that had seen countless storms. As soon as he spoke, his strong voice made Mrs. Qin nervous and serious.

”First of all, Xiu is already 30 years old. He’s no longer the child that you need to take care of. He’s now the youngest diplomat in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He carries the heavy responsibility of the country. If you ask a diplomat who carries the heavy responsibility of the country to listen to your arrangements, he’ll definitely refuse.

”Secondly, he has his own plans. Marriage is obviously not part of his plan for the time being. Your insistence will only mess up his mind and make him avoid you even more.

”Since you’re so anxious to get him married, I’ll give you an idea.”

Before Old Master Fu could say his idea, Mrs. Qin’s eyes lit up.

”In that case, why don’t you go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and kick up a fuss? Let Qin Xiu retire from his current position and go home in peace to continue being your obedient son. You can consider it.”

Mrs. Qin’s expression changed slightly. What kind of idea was that?!

That wasn’t right. How could Old Master Fu have such a thought? It had to be…

Mrs. Qin, who was a little uneasy, tightened her grip on the tissue in her hand. ”How can I do that?” How could she ruin her son’s bright future? ”Xiu has always wanted to be a diplomat since he was young. How can I… ruin his dream?

Facing Old Master Fu’s sharp gaze, Mrs. Qin clenched the crumpled ball of tissue in her palm. She suddenly didn’t dare to stay in the Fu family’s residence anymore. She… wanted to leave.

”Why not? Don’t you want a good son who listens to you, listens to your arrangements, and listens to your advice? Since you want that, go and fight for him. With Qin Xiu’s personality, if you go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and make a fuss, he’ll definitely leave the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and go home to be your good son.”
