Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

The two of them didn’t reach the gathering point in time to complete the landing report. The squad leader’s expression wasn’t good.

Ye Jian could feel the rejection in their gazes and sighed in her heart.

In the past, she often heard that there would be rejection among the classes. It was very common for military school students to experience rejection when they were sent to the company.

Everyone came from all over the world. There would definitely be a period of time for them to get used to each other’s habits. For instance, Captain Xia was ostracized and isolated when he first entered the Xueyu unit.

She was already mentally prepared, but she felt a little uncomfortable now that she really encountered such a situation. This was because she had never encountered rejection before.

She also understood why Commander Kong specially came to have a heart-to-heart talk with her. He wanted her to be stronger so that she wouldn’t want to return to the army military unit just because she suffered some grievances during training. He had reminded her repeatedly before leaving.

Although she was a little aggrieved, it depended on how one understood and accepted it. She wasn’t a soldier from the airborne military unit to begin with. After she came over, she met two airborne soldiers who were still under observation but had to leave in the end. It was normal for the 13 female soldiers, including the squad leader, to have some opinions about her.

Under the 13 gazes, Ye Jian and Guo Cui supported each other and returned to the team.

When they got closer, the squad leader didn’t let the two of them return to the team immediately. She glanced at the female soldier, Guo Cui, as if to confirm something. Then, she looked at Ye Jian. Her gaze was very cold. ”According to the plan, everyone must reach the gathering point within ten minutes after landing. Did the two of you reach the gathering point according to the plan?

”As a soldier, you don’t even have the most basic sense of time. How did the military unit teach you? Please answer me loudly!”

The expressions of the female soldiers who were looking at Ye Jian became even more serious. They couldn’t let her continue staying in the air force. The army should go to the army. They shouldn’t go to the air force to die.

Although the squad leader seemed to be criticizing both of them, Ye Jian knew that it was directed at her. She asked Guo Cui in a low voice, ”Can you stand up?”

”Yes.” Guo Cui, who could tell that the squad leader was only criticizing Ye Jian, nodded. Ye Jian released her grip and straightened her back. She lowered her chin and replied without explaining, ”Please punish me, Squad Leader!”

Being late meant being late. There was no need to explain too much.

A delay in the military unit wasn’t something that could be solved with a deduction of salary. Being late in the military unit could often affect the entire situation. It wasn’t a small matter!

The squad leader thought that Ye Jian would explain. She didn’t expect her to ask her to punish her directly. The squad leader’s heart skipped a beat, and her face darkened. She glanced at Guo Cui, who had a restrained expression. A faint darkness flashed past her eyes.

She didn’t ask Guo Cui and continued asking Ye Jian, ”Do you think that punishment will solve the problem? As a soldier, don’t you know the importance of time?”

”Everyone arrived on time. Because of the two of you, all of us had to wait at the same spot! The situation on the battlefield is ever-changing. Everyone has their own responsibilities. Comrades who charge into the battlefield will lose their lives because of your tardiness!

”Ye Jian, this is the air force, not the army! Airborne soldiers have to fight against time on the battlefield to win a decisive victory. If you’re late by three minutes and 46 seconds, that’s enough to drag the entire battlefield down. You’ll even make your comrades sacrifice themselves to find you! Can you bear it? As a soldier, can you continue wearing this military uniform?!”
