Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

Xia Jinyuan blamed himself for not discovering that Gongga Ningbu had one leg stuck earlier. If he had discovered it, Yu Si would’ve been rescued by now.

However, even if he had discovered that Gongga Ningbu’s leg was stuck, he wouldn’t have chosen to save Yu Si immediately. That was because… Wang Qian, who was heavily injured and unconscious, was still in the vehicle. Based on the situation at that time, he wouldn’t have been able to save two people at the same time.

If he saved Yu Si first, he would definitely make Gongga Ningbu retaliate and do something crazier. For example… killing Wang Qian in the vehicle.

It was just that…

He didn’t notice it immediately, so there was still a thorn in his heart.

Just as Ye Jian was about to say something, she suddenly heard a ferocious and crazy shout from the overturned Jeep. ”Don’t play tricks on me. A car! Hurry up and prepare a car for me! Hurry!”

The driver and his wife, who were participating in the rescue, heard it too. The couple was shocked. Just now, the driver wanted to go to the overturned Jeep to save those inside. Fortunately, Xia Jinyuan caught up with him in time.

”Old Tan, you… You… I…” The driver’s wife was so frightened that her hands and feet were trembling. Fortunately, the driver was bold. He said softly, ”Don’t be afraid of anything else. There are police and soldiers here. We don’t have to be afraid. Stay here and talk to the young lady.”

Like Cai Yan, the couple chatted with Tian Tian.

With her husband’s courage, the driver’s wife felt a little more at ease. However, she didn’t have the guts to talk to Tian Tian anymore.

Yu Si, who was being held hostage, didn’t make a sound. She was already in a daze. She was so frightened that she didn’t have any self-awareness.

The crazy roar made Ye Jian’s heart jump. She ran back with Xia Jinyuan and said, ”Give him the car. Give it to him immediately! Let’s get him out of the car first!

Xia Jinyuan’s heart ached. His expression was cold, and even the surrounding air became a little oppressive. ”The hostage, Yu Si, is completely frightened. She can’t move at all. I can only…”

Ye Jian understood him the best. The faint gloominess on his cold expression made Ye Jian’s heart hurt as if it was being pricked by needles. ”Is Wang Qian still unconscious?”

As soon as Xia Jinyuan nodded, Ye Jian seized the time and said quickly, ”That’s right. Even if you had realized that the felon had one leg stuck and couldn’t move and even if you had saved Yu Si, you wouldn’t have been able to save Wang Qian immediately. You would’ve put Wang Qian in a hopeless situation, and the crazy felon would’ve done something to him.

”Captain Xia, you don’t have to blame yourself for not discovering that the felon’s leg was stuck. It’s a good decision to lure the felon out of the car and save the seriously injured! I think you’ve already thought about it, Captain Xia. We’re all doing our best to save all the hostages, so we don’t have to blame ourselves.”

It was every soldier’s duty to protect the safety of the people. When he realized that he couldn’t protect the safety of the people, Xia Jinyuan blamed himself.

Rescuing the hostages, especially when the hostages were unable to move, was extremely difficult. Even Xia Jinyuan, who was a special forces soldier, had to be careful.

To rescue hostages, the priority was to stabilize the criminal first, then stabilize the hostages so that they would cooperate and not struggle blindly. Only then could the rescue plan be launched.

Before Ye Jian and the two police officers came, the entire scene was controlled by Xia Jinyuan alone. He even pulled back the driver who wanted to help.

It was not easy to stabilize the situation on his own.
