Rebirth: General, Don't Mess Around!

His thoughts were seen through at a glance. The long scar on Gongga Ningbu’s face twitched twice, making him look even more ferocious. ”If I drag you down with me, I don’t mind dying.”

Gongga Ningbu was a lunatic, a lunatic who could do anything! If you pressed him too hard, he would go crazy.

In the game between the two sides, Xia Jinyuan was at a disadvantage because he had scruples. In addition, his vision was blocked by the two seats in front of him, so he didn’t notice that one of Gongga Ningbu’s legs was stuck.

”Okay, I won’t move.”

As he spoke, Xia Jinyuan had already sized up the two hostages trapped in the car. The driver, Wang Qian, was heavily injured. His waist was caught from the airbag that popped out to protect him. There was blood on the left side of his head. When he flipped over, he must’ve hit the car frame.

Yu Si’s injury was the lightest as she was in the passenger seat. There were no signs of injury. When he heard that she was breathing heavily… he deduced that she fainted from fright. She was still unconscious.

Wang Qian needed to be rescued immediately.

Xia Jinyuan, who had an idea of what was going on, stared coldly at the felon who was struggling to fight for a way out for himself. He didn’t force Gongga Ningbu too much. If he went crazy, he would burn the car.

Gongga Ningbu thought that the other party would have some scruples after his threat. He didn’t expect to meet such an unpredictable soldier.

He wasn’t afraid, though. He grinned, revealing two rows of yellow teeth. ”Really? I’ll shout to three. If you don’t leave, I’ll light a fire. If we die, we’ll die together.”

”Once the car explodes, everyone will die! I’m fine with that. If I get caught by you, I’ll die too. I’m not afraid. But they’re different. Look at how young they are. They even drive their own cars. Their families must be rich.

”They can still live, but you can’t force me to light a fire and kill them. If I die, that’s that. But if you die, you’ll be infamous for killing the people you wanted to save. You’re a soldier. Is it worth it?”

He was eloquent, had clear thoughts, and was logical. He was so calm that Xia Jinyuan was slightly shocked.

He had carried out countless missions and encountered countless criminals who were struggling on the verge of death. However, none had ever been as calm as the felon in front of him.

However, the calmer he was, the more certain Xia Jinyuan was that… he wanted to live!

Only those who wanted to live would be so calm. They would look for a way to escape. Those who wanted to die would not say anything.

Xia Jinyuan, who understood the other party’s thoughts, pretended to hesitate. He frowned, and his originally calm gaze suddenly turned sharp. ”What requests do you have?”

The smell of petrol in the car was getting fainter and fainter. It was all because of the open car door. Xia Jinyuan tightened his grip on the car door. He wasn’t worried about the lighter in Gongga Ningbu’s hand now. He was worried that… the felon would take the opportunity to take another hostage when he couldn’t move due to the traffic jam.

If he took another hostage… That was good too. Xia Jinyuan could let him out first so that he could save the heavily injured and unconscious Wang Qian.

Gongga Ningbu saw his every move. Although he was happy that Xia Jinyuan had relented, the cunning Gongga Ningbu did not let down his guard. ”Two things. First, prepare a car for me immediately! Second, you have to stay at least a kilometer away from me! Do that, and I’ll release the hostages and let you save them.”

”Impossible!” Xia Jinyuan’s expression changed as he shouted.

”Then let’s die together!” Gongga Ningbu shouted. Just as Xia Jinyuan had expected, he suddenly leaned over and pounced on the passenger seat.
