Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 987: Chapter 987: So You Were Summoning Your Avatars

The true homeland of the Formless Tree is the Ancient Realm.

It is a mysterious place.

This world is vast and magnificent, with myriad races standing side by side, and powerful beings abound, each race possessing extremely strong and magical abilities.

Once, the Ancient Clan invaded the vast Divine Land and forced its spirits into retreat.

If not for the help of the Dragon Clan from the Hidden Dragon Continent, the Divine Land would have been unified by the Ancient Clan by now.

Its roots, since being severed.

By chance, Dragon Tree Buddha obtained a strand of purple Buddhist light and received the inheritance of the Infinite Light Buddha Lord.

Since cultivating the Buddhist path, Dragon Tree Buddha has wholeheartedly devoted himself to Buddhism, rarely recalling past events.

For a long time, he has regarded himself as a Buddha.

And not as the Formless Tree.

Under the seat of the Honored One of Infinite Buddha Country, he immersed himself in Buddhist law for nearly ten million years and never thought of the Ancient Realm.

Dragon Tree Buddha admits that after his roots were severed, he began to have a karmic connection with Buddhist law.

Having entered the door of Buddhist law, he does not regret it in this life.

”Humph, you monk, claiming to be the Divine Land’s first Purple Buddha, but if you return to the Ancient Realm, how many would laugh at you?”

Seeing Dragon Tree Buddha’s silence, the young man in plain clothes sneered.

”I do not want to return to the Ancient Realm. If I wish, I can abandon this physical body at any time and leave the Divine Land, returning to the Infinite Buddha Land once more...”

Dragon Tree Buddha said slowly.

As he spoke, his eyes gleamed, as though millions of purple divine Buddha shadows were swirling.

The young man in plain clothes, somewhat amazed, asked, ”Infinite Buddha Land, what kind of place is that?”

”A higher level of Buddhist land...”

Dragon Tree Buddha replied softly.

He looked at the young man in plain clothes with hope, saying, ”I do not want to discuss destinations with you, only the present... now that Yinfuti is relentlessly pursuing us, if they force me away, you alone will definitely not be a match for them!”

Dragon Tree Buddha spoke his mind.

”So what? Even if they kill me, I have countless avatars!”

The young man in plain clothes sneered.

”An avatar is an avatar, the body is the body. I think that guy is not foolish and will not easily kill your body, but will find a way to control you, and then control all your avatars!”

Dragon Tree Buddha said resolutely.

”Control me?”

The young man in plain clothes seemed to have thought of something, his face turning pale with shock.

”Yes, if they control you, isn’t that more terrifying than killing you?”

Dragon Tree Buddha said.

”Indeed so...”

The young man in plain clothes lowered his head, his voice growing grave.

At this moment.

The madness in him finally retreated like the tide.

Dragon Tree Buddha took advantage of the situation to persuade him: ”I have fused some avatars, enhancing my strength, but this speed is too slow. I think you should have a way to let these avatars serve me, right?”

”I can!”

The young man in plain clothes said decisively.

”Good!”

Dragon Tree Buddha was overjoyed upon hearing this.

This was his true purpose for entering the Sea of Knowledge World of the Buddha Flame Root, and he had finally achieved his wish.

The young man in plain clothes, eyes glinting with sharpness, said blandly, ”However, you must let me control our shared physical body!”

”Let you control?”

Dragon Tree Buddha was taken aback for a moment, hesitating.

The Buddha Flame Root state is unstable, potentially going utterly mad at any time. What if it loses its mind once it gains control?

”What is there to hesitate about? You’ve already taken root in the Infinite Buddha Land, this physical body means little to you, and I’m assisting you against Yinfuti, exchanging the body back; isn’t it a fair trade?”

The young man in plain clothes mocked with a smile.

”What you say... makes sense! But I must capture him alive; you must not kill him!”

Dragon Tree Buddha said solemnly.

At this moment, he prepared to take a risk.

As Buddha Flame Root said, he is only a fragment of a divine presence, descending, his true Buddhist body still residing within Infinite Buddha Land.

Abandoning this physical body is not a significant loss for him.

If it can help him fulfill his wish, he’s willing to give this physical body to the Buddha Flame Root.

After all, Buddha Flame Root is not an outsider.

”Rest assured, I will meet this condition of yours!”

The young man in plain clothes gave a cold smile.

Dragon Tree Buddha sighed softly, no longer suppressing the Buddha Flame Root, and at the same time relinquished control of his body.

The young man in plain clothes flew out, instantly inhabiting his body.

”Wow, the complete feeling is indeed different, much stronger than before!

Heh heh... Truly worthy as the Formless Tree, one of the four divine trees of the Ancient Realm!”

The young man in plain clothes said with a smile, a trace of madness appearing on his face.

He suddenly shifted direction, flying southeast.

”What’s going on with this guy?”

Ye Yun, who was pursuing Dragon Tree Buddha, suddenly sensed something was amiss.

Originally, the Buddha Intent permeating Dragon Tree Buddha, now seemed to have changed.

As if he were entirely another person.

”Looks like the Buddha Flame Root forcibly possessed his physical body...”

Ye Yun speculated secretly.

Logically speaking, Dragon Tree Buddha, with deep attainment in the Buddhist path, shouldn’t be overtaken by the Buddha Flame Root.

Yet, this incredible scene had unfolded.

This indicates.

Perhaps a secret deal was struck between them.

As for this sudden change, Ye Yun was indifferent.

Whether Dragon Tree Buddha or Buddha Flame Root, they were Ye Yun’s targets.

Neither could escape.

Ye Yun, having thought this, smiled disdainfully and continued pursuing Dragon Tree Buddha relentlessly.

Along the way, he discovered something was amiss once again.

Throughout.

He hadn’t observed any avatars of Buddha Flame Root appearing, being absorbed and fused by Dragon Tree Buddha.

”Interesting...”

Ye Yun seemed to speculate something, but merely smiled faintly.

They flew for a full seven days.

In his flight, Dragon Tree Buddha suddenly flashed and vanished into the depths of the earth.

Ye Yun arrived at the front, released Divine Sense to investigate, and found a strong formation blocking the path ahead.

”Break!”

Ye Yun unleashed a sword, and with a booming sound, pierced a hole through the large formation.

Ye Yun flew inside.

Meanwhile.

In the center of this large formation lies a gigantic altar.

This altar is dark red in color, with a diameter of tens of thousands of feet, its surface covered with various complex runes.

At this moment, the altar emitted dazzling light, and above the void, strong spatial disturbances continuously appeared.

Dragon Tree Buddha stood at the central position.

He opened his arms, face crazed, seemingly welcoming something.

Ye Yun appeared ghostly outside the altar.

”Such a powerful formation, it didn’t stop you?”

Dragon Tree Buddha looked at Ye Yun, his face showing shock.

This powerful protective array didn’t play its part at all.

It truly astonished him.

Buzzing...

Light flickered, the void vibrated violently.

A God King Expert emerged from the void, descending upon Dragon Tree Buddha.

Dragon Tree Buddha hesitated not, grabbing that God King Expert, fusing him into his body.

The Super Divine Dragon Breath surged.

Next, the second and third God King Experts emerged from the void, absorbed by Dragon Tree Buddha.

”Haha, turns out you’re summoning your avatars. Good summoning, if you gather them all, it saves me the trouble of finding them one by one...”

Ye Yun held Longsword upside down, standing in the void, smiling.

Dragon Tree Buddha: ”...”
