Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 967: Chapter 967: Buddha Flame Old Ancestor Makes a Move

”Heh heh, the Dao companion of the Fallen Leaf Saintess is truly arrogant! Do you think no one in this Land of Thousands of Buddhas can handle you?”

A cold laugh came from the mouth of the red-clothed monk.

He stepped forward and stood opposite Ye Yun.

Separated by several dozen zhang, the red-clothed monk squinted slightly, calmly scrutinizing Ye Yun.

”You’re merely at the Divine Monarch Realm Third Layer. With such a cultivation base, I could kill you with just one finger!”

The red-clothed monk said coldly.

His eyes hinted at a mocking superiority.

”Kill me? You sure are bold! Do you mean to say that your Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect dares to challenge the Holy Buddha Sect?”

Ye Yun raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile.

He remembered that the Holy Sky Buddha Ancestor once said that the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect was a lineage passed down by the Dragon Tree Buddha, incredibly mysterious, and seldom seen in the mortal world.

And the Evil Buddha Sect on the Cangnan Continent originated from the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect.

If he wanted to annihilate this sect, he would not only have to deal with this red-clothed monk in front of him.

He would also have to contend with the massive force behind him.

To rival the Holy Buddha Sect, there must be many Divine King Realm experts stationed within the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect.

Thinking of this stirred Ye Yun’s interest.

”The Fallen Leaf Saintess must be blind to have taken a fancy to you!”

After a thorough look, the red-clothed monk sneered.

”Why don’t you give it a try? See if she’d be willing to be your Dao companion?”

Ye Yun wasn’t angry, he just laughed heartily.

”I’m certainly not worthy... but our Dragon Court Buddha Child, who’s a Divine King Realm expert, would be quite the match for the Fallen Leaf Saintess!”

The red-clothed monk licked his lips, his eyes full of mockery, chuckling.

”Hmm, this Divine King Realm Dragon Court Buddha Child is quite the heavyweight figure...”

Ye Yun’s eyes flickered as he smiled thoughtfully.

For this Ten Thousand Buddhas Dynasty event, the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect also sent people, and those who came were not lightweight figures, on the same level as the Fallen Leaf Saintess.

”Master, this Ye Chen killed my disciple on the Cangnan Continent, you must avenge me!”

Master Hongyun gritted his teeth nearby.

”Rest assured, he won’t escape here. Let’s capture him first and then lock him up!”

The red-clothed monk said coldly.

Although he was acting fiercely, this Ye Chen was the Dao companion of the Fallen Leaf Saintess, and he didn’t have the authority to directly deal with him.

He planned to capture him first and then leave him to the Dragon Court Buddha Child to handle.

”Alright, I’ll leave everything to you, Master!”

Master Hongyun clasped his hands together, his head lowered, speaking respectfully.

Having heard his master’s words, he understood that his master’s status was ordinary and that he wasn’t a significant figure within the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect.

To settle the matter with Ye Chen, the Dragon Court Buddha Child would indeed need to intervene.

The thought of joining such a powerful Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect excited Master Hongyun immensely, making him tremble slightly in anticipation.

Just as the red-clothed monk and Ye Yun were about to clash, ready to strike.

The ground suddenly split open deep beneath the alley, and a dragon-like light burst forth, instantly enveloping Ye Yun.

The speed of this light was too fast for even the red-clothed monk to react.

Ye Yun squinted his eyes.

He could naturally see that the Buddha Flame Old Ancestor had made a move.

It seemed this guy was just putting on an act earlier.

Ye Yun took no action.

He allowed the light to envelop him and take him deep beneath the ground.

The light vanished, and so did Ye Yun, the ground returning to its original state as if nothing had happened.

”Where did Ye Chen go? Did the Fallen Leaf Saintess just rescue him?”

Master Hongyun looked around anxiously.

If the Fallen Leaf Saintess did rescue him, capturing him again would require considerable effort.

”It wasn’t the Fallen Leaf Saintess. It should be the Buddha Flame Old Ancestor...”

The red-clothed monk said, his face stiff, staring at the spot where Ye Yun disappeared, after a moment’s silence.

”Does the Buddha Flame Old Ancestor really dare oppose our Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect?”

Master Hongyun frowned and asked.

”Outwardly, of course not, but who knows what schemes he harbors in secret!”

The red-clothed monk snorted coldly.

”Master, what should we do?”

Master Hongyun asked worriedly.

”Let’s go! Follow me back, and we’ll seek out the Dragon Court Buddha Child to resolve this!”

The red-clothed monk tugged at Master Hongyun’s robe, leading him out of the alley.

”Master, have you heard of Yinfuti?”

As they walked, Master Hongyun suddenly asked.

”Yinfuti?”

The red-clothed monk’s expression shifted slightly, asking with some amusement, ”Why are you suddenly asking about that?”

”Master, people from the Holy Buddha Sect say this Ye Chen is Yinfuti!”

Master Hongyun said.

”Impossible, how could Yinfuti exist in this world?”

The red-clothed monk raised his eyebrows, speaking in disbelief.

”I also heard that the Jade Buddha Sect has a Yinfuti as well...”

Master Hongyun added.

”Your words are too sensational...”

The red-clothed monk shook his head, pondering for a few breaths before saying, ”Let’s report this to the Dragon Court Buddha Child first and let him decide!”

”Understood, Master!”

Master Hongyun said earnestly.

He finally realized that his master, whom he considered extremely powerful, was only a minor figure within the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect.

According to his master’s words, many Divine King Realm experts were the mainstay of the sect.

”Master’s status, having come from the Cangnan Continent to the Divine Land, must not be high...”

Master Hongyun thought to himself.

”Hongyun, I know what you’re thinking, and you’re not wrong. My status in the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect isn’t high, after all, I came from the Cangnan Continent...”

The red-clothed monk smiled faintly, seemingly seeing through Master Hongyun’s thoughts.

”Master...”

Master Hongyun felt a bit awkward.

”It’s alright, coming to the Divine Land from that remote place on the Cangnan Continent was already not easy for us as teacher and disciple, but having joined our sect, it’s like we now have a big tree to lean on...”

The red-clothed monk sighed.

”Master speaks the truth...”

Master Hongyun clasped his hands together, looked solemn, and said.

The two walked out of the alley.

”Master, where shall we stay?”

Master Hongyun asked.

”Before I left, I heard that the Dragon Court Buddha Child went to the Qianya Immortal Residence. Let’s go there and find the Buddha Child!”

The red-clothed monk said.

”Qianya Immortal Residence? Isn’t that a branch of the Holy Buddha Sect?”

Master Hongyun said in surprise.

”Yes, I heard that the Dragon Court Buddha Child went there to debate Buddhist teachings with the Fallen Leaf Saintess. We should find him there...”

The red-clothed monk said casually.

Master Hongyun was taken aback, exhaled a long breath.

The Divine King Realm experts were indeed different from these minor figures.

While the two headed to the Qianya Immortal Residence, the light enveloping Ye Yun sped through the depths of the earth, finally coming to a stop.

The surrounding soil had long been expanded into a void.

Two figures, with strong auras, stood quietly in the void.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, to dare abduct that Yinfuti right under the noses of the Dragon Court Buddha Child and the Fallen Leaf Saintess of the Holy Buddha Sect, you truly are bold beyond measure!”

The Happy Buddha Ancestor exclaimed, laughing with his hands behind his back.
