Chapter 969: Chapter 969: Universal Dharma Power from the Mahamudra Sutra

”What’s impossible?”

In response to Buddha Flame Old Ancestor’s roar, Ye Yun merely replied softly.

He intended to utilize the Mahamudra Sutra to convert these two fellows.

As the saying goes, it’s rude not to reciprocate.

Earlier, the two tried to convert him, so now he also wanted to unleash the Universal Dharma Power to properly torment these two.

At the same time, he wanted to see the potency of the Mahamudra Sutra.

”You are Yinfuti, how can you be the Purple Buddha?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor muttered.

”Isn’t it true that no one in this world decrees that Yinfuti can’t become the Purple Buddha, right?”

Ye Yun smiled and asked.

”Not good, let’s run quickly!”

Feeling a strange power descend, Happy Buddha Ancestor’s face changed drastically, and he turned to flee.

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor felt it too.

Without any hesitation, he fled in another direction.

Both of them had profound expertise in the Buddhist Path and naturally understood the impact of that power.

It was another form of conversion power.

The conversion performed by the Purple Buddha was extremely terrifying.

Once converted, they might be under someone’s command.

”Don’t think you can escape!”

Ye Yun laughed heartily and suddenly extended his finger.

”Freeze!”

The Stasis Technique was activated, and Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Old Ancestor’s bodies stiffened, instantly frozen in midair.

Ye Yun merely immobilized their bodies, not their minds.

After all, he still needed to perform the Universal Dharma Power.

”Why can’t my body move? What kind of conversion power is this?”

Feeling something unusual, Buddha Flame Old Ancestor was startled.

”Is this the power of the Purple Buddha? With cultivation at the Divine Monarch Realm, you can pin down both of us Divine Kings here!”

On the other side, Happy Buddha Ancestor was so shocked his jaw almost dropped.

”You two, just stop running and wait for me to finish the conversion first!”

Ye Yun didn’t offer an explanation, merely smiled slightly.

He operated the Mahamudra Sutra.

The purple light on his body grew stronger, like a wave, surging towards both directions.

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Buddha Ancestor’s bodies were quickly submerged by the surging purple light.

In the void.

Numerous purple Divine Buddhas began chanting mysterious and ancient spells.

Ye Yun looked on calmly at all this.

Within the purple light, he observed the expressions of Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Old Ancestor change from initial panic to gradually becoming calm and peaceful.

”The power of conversion truly resembles mind manipulation...”

Ye Yun mused to himself.

Just as Ye Yun was converting Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Buddha Ancestor.

Within Jade Buddha City.

The red-robed monk led Master Hongyun and had already entered Qianya Immortal Residence.

The two were stopped outside a large hall.

”Brother Red Dragon, Dragon Court Buddha Child is in the hall debating Buddhist Law with Saintess Fallen Leaf, you can’t go in now!”

A middle-aged monk blocked the way of the two.

”I see, then we have no choice but to wait for a while!”

Brother Red Dragon, who was Master Hongyun’s teacher, smiled wryly upon hearing this and waited in place.

Master Hongyun pursed his lips and helplessly stood to the side.

”Who is this person?”

The middle-aged monk raised an eyebrow and asked.

”Senior brother, this is my disciple, from Cangnan Continent. We met in Jade Buddha City just now!”

Red Dragon explained.

”Alright then, he’s not really a stranger. Your lineage has upheld this place for so many years, which truly wasn’t easy...”

The middle-aged monk sighed softly, his gaze at Master Hongyun exceedingly gentle.

Master Hongyun was moved and whispered, ”Master, how long has our Evil Buddha Sect’s lineage been inherited over there in Cangnan Continent?”

”How long? I’m not too sure either, but after joining the Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect, I found out that our lineage in Cangnan Continent has been passed down for millions of years!”

Red Dragon smiled wryly.

”For so long, millions of years?”

Master Hongyun was startled.

Retreating to a million years ago, Cangnan Continent would have been called Dragon Hidden Continent.

This was once the domain of the Dragon Clan.

”A million years ago, your lineage entered Dragon Hidden Continent, shouldering a heavy responsibility, passing it down from generation to generation until today...”

The middle-aged monk explained.

”What kind of responsibility?”

Curious, Master Hongyun instinctively asked.

”This is sect’s secret, you shouldn’t inquire about it. Not even your master or myself know this secret!”

The middle-aged monk said with a serious expression.

”Oh!”

Master Hongyun was left with no choice but to nod in embarrassment.

At this point, Red Dragon glanced towards the direction of the large hall and asked softly, ”Senior brother, how long do you think the debate on Buddhist Law between Dragon Court Buddha Child and Saintess Fallen Leaf will last?”

”It’s hard to say, I recall once their debate on Buddhist Law lasted three days and nights...”

The middle-aged monk chuckled.

”For so long, did Dragon Court Buddha Child emerge victorious in the end?”

Red Dragon asked with a smile.

”Reportedly, that time they were tied, neither side prevailing...”

The middle-aged monk said.

”I didn’t anticipate... that the Buddhist Law of Holy Buddha Sect would also be so formidable!”

Red Dragon sighed.

”Holy Buddha Sect, after all, is ranked first in Buddhist Law within the Land of Thousands of Buddhas; being strong in Buddhist Law is only natural!”

The middle-aged monk smiled slightly, then a trace of pride appeared on his face as he said softly, ”Back then when Dragon Tree Buddha attained Nirvana, he did not convey his practiced Buddhist Law. Today, our lineage’s Buddhist Law is passed down by his disciple, so essentially, what we cultivate isn’t Dragon Tree Buddha’s Buddhist Law!”

”So that’s why...”

Upon hearing this, Master Hongyun showed a sudden realization.

No wonder he always felt that the Buddhist Law of Evil Buddha Sect was strange; it turns out it wasn’t passed down by Dragon Tree Buddha.

Imagine this.

Dragon Tree Buddha as the only Purple Buddha in Divine Land, if his Buddhist Law had been conveyed, how could Dragon Court Buddha Child not be able to defeat Saintess Fallen Leaf in Buddhist Law?

”This, Elder, do you know why Dragon Tree Buddha didn’t pass it down?”

Master Hongyun asked curiously.

”This question is a mystery. Our Dragon Elephant Prajna Sect has spanned millions of years yet hasn’t figured out why Dragon Tree Buddha didn’t pass down his Buddhist Law.”

The middle-aged monk sighed.

...

Deep underground, far away from Jade Buddha City.

Ye Yun suddenly trembled, switching to another hand seal.

Whoosh!

The boundless purple light vanished, flowing back into his body.

The Universal Dharma Power within the Mahamudra Sutra, Ye Yun had completed its execution.

Meanwhile, Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Old Ancestor were now closed-eyed, radiating sacred Buddhist light.

”It should have succeeded, right?”

Ye Yun chuckled, extending a hand to release the Stasis Technique.

The two opened their eyes.

Ye Yun noticed a faint flash of purple light deep in their eyes.

It seems it succeeded.

Ye Yun nodded.

”Greetings to the Buddha Lord!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor and Happy Buddha Ancestor flew over, hands clasped, their bodies also bending down, very respectfully.

”Are you two planning to pledge allegiance to me?”

Ye Yun’s heart stirred, and he asked with a smile.

”Reporting to the Buddha Lord, under the call of conversion power, we are willing to follow you for life, learning the supreme Buddhist Law...”

Both lowered their heads, practically speaking in unison.

”Good!”

Upon hearing this, Ye Yun seemed to think of something, his face showing a touch of joy.
