Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 952: Chapter 952: I’m Really Not That Strong

”This aura, why does it resemble the Buddha Flame Root?”

Gazing at the monk in yellow robes, Ye Yun’s brows furrowed, as he examined him again attentively.

This monk was also in the God King Realm First Layer, sharing the same level as Happy Buddha Ancestor.

Thin-bodied, he exuded a rich aura of Buddhism that made the Buddha Flame Root’s presence very faint.

Although faint, Ye Yun could still sense it.

Seeing that Ye Yun showed no good face to him, Happy Buddha Ancestor snorted coldly, ”Boy, my return bothers you in what way? I’m just here to take a look, and I’ll be leaving soon!”

”The Yinfuti you mention... is him?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor exclaimed in surprise.

”Indeed, this boy is filled with malice, sharp-tongued, inherently strong, hard to enlighten, just like the legendary Yinfuti...”

Taking a deep breath, Happy Buddha Ancestor spoke slowly.

”Interesting...”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor’s probing gaze fell on Ye Yun, examining him from head to toe repeatedly.

At this moment, the White-clothed Saintess opened her eyes.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, what are you planning to do to my guest?”

The White-clothed Saintess asked coldly.

”Nothing, Saintess, don’t misunderstand, hahaha!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor spread his hands, laughing, ”I’m quite interested in Yinfuti, just came to have a look...”

”You better not harbor any ill intentions, he is a guest of our Holy Buddha Sect, until reaching Jade Buddha City, no one can lay a hand on him!”

The White-clothed Saintess said coldly.

”Alright!” Buddha Flame Old Ancestor nodded hastily, seemingly not daring to confront the sharp edge of Holy Buddha Sect.

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor?

Hearing their conversation, Ye Yun’s pupils slightly narrowed.

It really is the Buddha Flame Root.

This aligned with his judgment exactly.

Originally, Ye Yun thought the Buddha Flame Root was hidden deep within the Divine Land, extremely hard to find, yet unexpectedly, he encountered Buddha Flame Old Ancestor aboard the Celestial Boat of Holy Buddha Sect.

Ye Yun blinked, smiling as he said, ”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, you are the Buddha Flame Root, aren’t you?”

”Indeed, you Yinfuti have some discernment!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor said proudly.

”Your Buddha Flame Root’s roots are extensive, spread throughout the Divine Land; is this your avatar or your true form?”

Ye Yun asked with a smile.

”You’re quite ignorant, when has Buddha Flame Old Ancestor ever used his true form? No one in this world knows where his true form is!”

Nearby, Happy Buddha Ancestor snorted coldly in irritation, his gaze conveying ridicule, as if mocking Ye Yun’s shallowness.

”Turns out it’s an avatar...”

Ye Yun gently smiled, waved at Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, and asked with a smile, ”You too are a great demon, so how come you became a monk?”

”This old monk is devoted to Buddha, what of being a monk?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor scoffed.

”Interesting...”

Ye Yun shrugged his shoulders, a glimmer of light flashing in the depths of his eyes.

This Buddha Flame Root, supposedly extremely ferocious, how could it suddenly convert to Buddhism?

There surely is something fishy here.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, do you intend to enlighten this Yinfuti?”

Happy Buddha Ancestor raised an eyebrow and asked with a smile.

”Just afraid the Saintess won’t give this humble monk the opportunity.”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor looked at the White-clothed Saintess, showing an inquiring look.

”Better not, after all, he is my guest...”

The White-clothed Saintess hesitated for a moment, eventually refusing Buddha Flame Old Ancestor.

Back then, Happy Buddha Ancestor had a chance to enlighten Yinfuti just because of a slip of the tongue; if Buddha Flame Old Ancestor deliberately came for this, it would make her, the Saintess of Holy Buddha Sect, lose face.

After all, she had accepted extremely precious favors.

”Alright!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor put his hands together, showing a look of regret.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, you old half-hearted monk, your Buddhism is shallow, yet you want to enlighten me? Dream on!”

Ye Yun laughed heartily.

”Boy, don’t be too arrogant, although you’re the legendary Yinfuti, you absolutely can’t be that strong. Once we reach Jade Buddha City, I will surely enlighten you!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor’s face showed anger but did not act on it, instead, he swung his large sleeves, taking Happy Ancestor and tearing through the void.

Witnessing the departure of two God King-stage experts, Master Hongyun finally came to his senses.

His face pale, he sweated profusely and muttered to himself, ”Good heavens, this Buddha Flame Root is way too powerful...”

In the Cangnan Continent.

He had once been trapped by Buddha Flame Root, but that was merely a True God-stage Buddha Flame Root.

Yet the Buddha Flame Root before him, an avatar alone, already reached God King-stage, hard to imagine how strong his true form is.

Master Hongyun shivered.

For a moment, he felt anxious, his mind unsettled.

”Saintess, how much do you know about Buddha Flame Old Ancestor?”

Ye Yun turned around and asked with a smile toward the White-clothed Saintess.

”I know a bit...”

The White-clothed Saintess looked curiously at Ye Yun, her eyes filled with some doubt.

This guy, why is he suddenly so interested in Buddha Flame Old Ancestor.

”He wants to enlighten me, naturally, I need to understand him. If the Saintess is convenient, just tell me...”

Ye Yun smiled faintly.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor is essentially an avatar of the Buddha Flame Root, familiar with various sects within the Buddha Sect, deeply versed in the Buddhist Path. However, on usual days, he acts alone; in terms of power, he’s far inferior to the Three Supreme Buddha Sects...”

The White-clothed Saintess explained.

”He has countless avatars, as well as a true form, theoretically should be quite powerful, how come he’s no match for your Three Supreme Buddha Sects?”

Ye Yun asked with a smile.

”This is merely an avatar of Buddha Flame Root; as for the other avatars, they’ve never appeared, whether they also cultivate the Buddhist Path remains unknown, so we never considered his other avatars...”

The White-clothed Saintess smiled gently, her smile radiant, akin to a blooming garden.

This smile prompted Ye Yun to click his tongue in admiration.

This little girl, indeed looks charming.

The ethereal aura surpassing secluded orchids, no ordinary lady could compare.

”This Buddha Flame Root, one avatar already at God King-stage; don’t you think it’s somewhat terrifying?”

Ye Yun asked again.

”Although Buddha Flame Root is strong, there are countless beings in Divine Land stronger than him, not yet time for him to stir up trouble. If he truly dares to create havoc, he’d have been removed long ago...”

The White-clothed Saintess smiled with her lips pursed.

Ye Yun nodded quietly.

The spirits of Divine Land managed to emerge victorious in the struggle between the Ancient Clan and Dragon Clan, naturally possessing their impressive traits.

This Buddha Flame Root, although ferocious, hasn’t stirred up trouble.

An avatar at God King-stage able to cultivate the Buddhist Path peacefully speaks volumes.

Ye Yun spoke no further.

The Celestial Boat swiftly flew, tearing through the void, heading toward Jade Buddha City.

Meanwhile.

In another part of the void, two great monks walked side by side.

They were precisely Happy Buddha Ancestor and Buddha Flame Old Ancestor.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, why didn’t you enlighten that Yinfuti?”

Happy Buddha Ancestor asked.

”The Buddhism of Holy Buddha Sect is recognized as top in the Land of Thousands of Buddhas, I’m not a match, how dare I challenge them?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor shook his head with a smile.

”I don’t believe, your avatar already reaches God King-stage, your true form must be even more terrifying, right? Even if your true form doesn’t emerge, more God King-stage avatars could make even Holy Buddha Sect show respect!”

Happy Buddha Ancestor chuckled.

”I truly am not that powerful; you overestimate me!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor smiled bitterly.

”At present, Jade Buddha Sect is unaware another Yinfuti has appeared in this world; how about we quickly bring this news to them?”

Happy Buddha Ancestor pondered briefly before speaking.

He seemed eager for chaos in the world.

”Better not spread it just yet; why not the two of us cooperate, attempt enlightenment first, see what happens. If successful, we could be immortalized, and the insights on our Buddhist Path might rival Jade Buddha Sect!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor waved his hand first, then smiled, revealing his thoughts.
