Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 972: Chapter 972: The Legendary Yinfuti

On the Nine-leaf Buddha Lotus.

Nine monks in the Divine King Realm form hand seals, sending waves of Buddhist light down from mid-air, into the Crystal coffin where a young man in coarse clothes lies.

Of course.

These terrifying lights don’t directly enter the youth, but rather the silver needles as thin as ox hair on his body.

Buzzing...

The silver needles gently vibrate, producing a humming sound, and pierce into the youth’s body.

All the silver needles disappear simultaneously.

”If not now, then when will you wake!”

The hunched old monk shouted loudly.

Inside the Crystal coffin, the silent youth in coarse clothes lies, not moving a finger.

”What is going on?”

The Oracle Buddha Ancestor’s face darkened.

”Sect Master, this person was originally the legendary Yinfuti, steeped in five poisons and inherently strong-willed. Although subjected to centuries of salvation, finally infused with Buddhist qualities, I suspect there might still be traces of residual poison within him somewhere!”

The hunched old monk squinted his eyes, speaking in a deep voice.

”Hehe, am I really as unbearable as you say?”

A youthful voice suddenly emerged from within the Crystal coffin.

The youth in coarse clothes slowly opened his eyes.

At the moment his eyes opened, deep within his pupils, a faint purple light flashed and vanished.

The purple light was extremely weak, almost transparent.

It appeared and disappeared swiftly.

None of the God King Experts from the Jade Buddha Sect noticed the anomaly.

The youth in coarse clothes sat up.

He reached out and pushed the lid of the Crystal coffin covering his head away.

Then he stood up, slowly floating in mid-air.

”Thanks to all the masters of the Jade Buddha Sect, who have endured hardships for millions of years. Now, I finally step with both feet into the door of Buddhist law!”

The youth in coarse clothes folded his hands in prayer, appearing serene, like a Bodhisattva in enlightenment.

”Good!”

Seeing the youth’s obedient demeanor, the Oracle Buddha Ancestor expressed joy, praising loudly.

”You, Yinfuti, though strong-willed, are not beyond salvation. Joining the Jade Buddha Sect is a rare and auspicious karma! I hope you cherish it!”

The hunched old monk spoke in a deep voice.

The youth nodded, smiling, and said, ”What you say is true. As Yinfuti, I found it difficult to be salvaged, but time has passed, and I’ve finally succeeded!”

”From now on, you are a disciple of the Jade Buddha Sect. Your cultivation base is not low; you have reached the First Level of the God King Realm and can become the second Buddha Child of the Jade Buddha Sect!”

The Oracle Buddha Ancestor spoke slowly.

Though calm, his tone revealed his excitement.

This was Yinfuti.

The Jade Buddha Sect spent millions of years finding ways to forcefully salvage this Yinfuti.

Now, with the Ten Thousand Buddhas Dynasty’s ceremony approaching, they would announce this news publicly, reclaiming the pinnacle of Buddhist law from the Holy Buddha Sect.

”Thank you, Oracle Buddha Ancestor!”

The youth floated gracefully and knelt at the Oracle Buddha Ancestor’s feet.

He often visited this domain, so he recognized him.

”There are a few words I want to share with you...”

The Oracle Buddha Ancestor smiled, gently placing his hand on the youth’s head, speaking softly.

...

In the underground space.

The time of a burning incense stick slowly passed.

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor was the first to open his eyes, gazing into the void somewhere, his expression uncertain and curious.

”What happened?”

Ye Yun asked calmly.

”Buddha Lord, it seems I felt the presence of the root essence?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor said excitedly.

”What did you say? You felt the presence of the root essence? You must be hallucinating!”

At this moment, the Happy Buddha Ancestor opened his eyes, heard this, and questioned doubtfully.

”How could it be an illusion?

After all, I am a God King Realm expert; I surely have the discernment, and just now when meditating on the scriptures blessed by the Buddha Lord, I suddenly had a feeling that the essence might not be far from me...”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor spoke softly.

Root essence of Buddha Flame?

Ye Yun’s eyes shimmered thoughtfully, ”This is interesting; feel carefully, where exactly is your essence?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor closed his eyes and carefully sensed again.

”Buddha Lord, it seems to be in the Jade Buddha City!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor said.

”Jade Buddha City?”

Ye Yun slightly amazed, why would Buddha Flame Old Ancestor’s essence be in Jade Buddha City?

The three had just departed from Jade Buddha City.

”Buddha Flame Old Ancestor, you must be confused; you just left Jade Buddha City!”

Happy Buddha Ancestor scoffed.

”My feeling should be correct, but the distance seems far; I need to return to Jade Buddha City to feel it again!”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor spoke softly.

He flickered, abruptly breaking through space and disappearing.

”Buddha Lord, look at how impolite this old fellow is, rushing off in such haste!”

The Happy Buddha Ancestor pointed to a spot in the void, somewhat indignant.

”Come on, take me over to have a look.”

Ye Yun said softly.

He did not intend to reveal his strength at the moment, so letting the God King Realm’s Happy Buddha Ancestor take him was the quickest path.

”Alright!”

Happy Buddha Ancestor hesitated at first, then suddenly understood, quickly nodded.

Though they were devoted to Ye Yun, the Purple Buddha before them was supremely powerful in Buddhist law.

But his actual cultivation level was only at the Divine Sovereign Realm.

Happy Buddha Ancestor, after being salvaged, was utterly loyal to Ye Yun, with no thought of mockery.

A flash of light streaked by.

The two disappeared from the deep underground space.

In the next moment.

Happy Buddha Ancestor brought Ye Yun to Buddha Flame Old Ancestor’s side.

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor was positioned in a secluded alley within Jade Buddha City.

His eyes closed as though constantly sensing something.

Happy Buddha Ancestor and Ye Yun stood silently beside him, without interruption.

”Eh?” Buddha Flame Old Ancestor slowly raised his head, eyelids gently opening, gazing upwards into the void.

”Is it here?”

Happy Buddha Ancestor pointed above, his face aghast, asking.

Everyone knows.

Above Jade Buddha City, in the void, lies the renowned Jade Buddha Cave Sky.

And the immensely powerful Jade Buddha Sect is situated within the Jade Buddha Cave Sky.

”If my sensing is correct, my essence should be in this Jade Buddha Cave Sky...”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor opened his eyes again, expressing solemnly.

Ye Yun stroked his chin, pondering and chuckled, ”That’s quite interesting; why would your essence be in the Jade Buddha Sect?”

”Buddha Lord, regarding this matter, I too feel it inexplicable; perhaps my sensing is mistaken?”

Buddha Flame Old Ancestor scratched his head, speaking with some doubt.

After all, he had visited Jade Buddha City many times before, and never sensed it.

Today, although he did sense something, it was extremely faint, intermittent, making it hard for him to judge.

”Whether true or not, once the ceremony begins, we’ll investigate inside...”

Ye Yun gazed towards the Jade Buddha Cave Sky, thoughtfully smiling softly.
