The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 601: Chapter 601: My Future Is Not in Xijing_1

”I know the Hoffman Family has a top ten martial artist in the Kyushu region, so you’re used to being domineering and always think you’re the best in the world, right? Outside your home, you only allow yourselves to bully others, and nobody else is even permitted to fight back. And what, you can’t handle it now, so you’re planning to bring out that guy?”

Carson Flores looked calmly at Hank Hoffman: ”I’ve heard that Seth Hoffman only managed to squeeze into the top ten after the one who was previously ranked seventh died from his injuries.”

Hank Hoffman’s tone was gloomy: ”Whether it’s tenth or eleventh, he’s more than enough to deal with you.”

Carson Flores laughed loudly: ”Wow, having a powerful background sure is impressive! I’m so scared! So it’s only the Hoffman Family who’s powerful and has connections, and no one else does?”

Hank Hoffman’s expression changed as he sneered: ”Your master, Andrew, won’t be able to help you, and neither will your mother’s Frost Family. I’ve heard your father has a mysterious background but has been missing for decades. If you’re so capable, why don’t you get him to make an appearance?”

Carson Flores smiled indifferently: ”I took care of Desmond Hoffman before because he provoked me. I was just disciplining a loser of your family. Today’s duel is a fair fight based on strength, not a personal vendetta. If you think that by winning, I’ve slapped the face of the Hoffman Family, the number one power in Western Capital, and you want to take revenge, bring it on!”

Hank Hoffman gritted his teeth: ”You think we wouldn’t dare, that we’re like the Vasquez Family, the Reid Family, or the Five Dragon Sect?”

Carson Flores smiled: ”You’re the most established natives of Western Capital, with deep roots and complex networks. I’d imagine with your capabilities, a few phone calls to gather a group of Innate Grandmasters to hunt me down would be completely normal. I’m laying my cards on the table; as long as you dare to stake the entire Hoffman Family, let’s play the game and see whether you suppress me or I annihilate the Hoffman Family.”

Carson Flores’s words echoed loudly, causing a chill to run down the spine of everyone present.

So audacious!

To speak such bold words to the number one power of Western Capital, this enmity was unlikely to be resolved.

If the Hoffman Family swallowed this humiliation, their reputation would be thoroughly tarnished, and the matter would surely become a source of ridicule. Even if nobody mentioned it openly, the sneers and gossip behind their backs were inevitable.

Hank Hoffman weighed the strengths between them. His side included six Innate Grandmasters led by Marco Hoffman. Carson Flores also had six on his side. In terms of combat power, the Hoffman Family was not superior. To act now would be utterly disadvantageous.

Since it was not the time to act, then leave!

Hank Hoffman turned and said decisively: ”Let’s go!”

The Hoffman Family members didn’t waste words and quickly got into their cars, departing cleanly in the blink of an eye.

The other onlookers who had come to watch the show also dispersed, and soon, almost everyone had left the valley, leaving behind only a battered landscape.

”You took him head-on at the end, were you okay?”

Leah Frost came over and asked in a low voice, worried: ”We said not to clash with him directly, yet you still did!”

Carson Flores smiled: ”It’s fine. I wanted to see where my limits were. After all, my next opponent could be Seth Hoffman.”

Leah Frost frowned: ”Do you really think Seth Hoffman will make a move?”

Carson Flores nodded: ”It’s inevitable. Having been humiliated by me in front of everyone, he has to act, or the Hoffman Family’s face will be smashed into the ground and they won’t be able to pick it up.”

Leah Frost poked Carson Flores: ”You’ve already won the match, why did you have to provoke him further? He wasn’t inclined to make a move, but you’re practically forcing him to.”

Carson Flores smiled and turned to look at Shirley Miller: ”Don’t worry, by the next time we meet, I might not be afraid of him.”

Leah Frost was taken aback: ”You’re leaving Western Capital?”

Carson Flores nodded: ”I’m going to escort Mary.”

Leah Frost sighed in relief: ”Leaving Western Capital is a good idea. Even if the Hoffman Family wants to deal with you, they’d either have to challenge you openly or use underhanded methods. In a bustling area, they definitely wouldn’t dare to assassinate you in broad daylight, especially since the strength of either you or Mary is enough to make them wary.”

Carson Flores said: ”Right, so there’s no need to panic. I’ve said what I said and been as arrogant as I’ve wanted. They’re already out to slap my face, why should I give them any face?”

Knowing that both were leaving, Leah Frost relaxed: ”When are you departing?”

”This afternoon.”

Leah Frost was surprised: ”So soon?”

Carson Flores explained: ”Mary has already been delayed by this matter. Time is tight now; we need to leave immediately.”

After a pause, Carson Flores smiled: ”Although I’ve won today’s match, there will probably be repercussions within the family. I’ve asked Abel Compton and Ethan Roth to stay with the Frost Family. With the two of them, plus you, three strong figures, there shouldn’t be any further surprises.”

Leah Frost smiled: ”Alright, having them two here, I’ll feel even more confident, even if it comes to facing off against the elder. When will you be back?”

Carson Flores said with a smile: ”Once I’ve escorted Mary, I plan to travel around. If there’s anything, I’ll call.”

Leah Frost’s eyes widened: ”Do you mean you won’t come back if there’s no reason to?”

Carson Flores smiled calmly: ”My future isn’t in Western Capital.”
