The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 667: Chapter 667 - Once I Get Out, I’ll Definitely Kill You!_1

Carson Flores didn’t hesitate, and without saying another word, he hugged Killian Jaramillo’s waist.

This was no time for politeness!

His speed of sword flight was nowhere near that of Killian Jaramillo and Francisco Smith. Francisco Smith, relying on his sword gourd to assault forward, had apparently decided to abandon those behind him, opting to escape alone with Killian Jaramillo.

Seeing that Carson Flores had secured his hold, Killian Jaramillo quickly ascended, following closely behind Francisco Smith in an upward assault.

Although she wanted to save those behind her, she was injured and coughing up blood; she no longer had the capability. If she dithered any longer, she too would die here.

The Foundation Establishment Cultivators of Crane Sect behind them were instantly left behind, swallowed up by the endless branches and roots in the blink of an eye.

Francisco Smith drove the sword gourd frantically, the flying swords relentless and unstoppable. Once they exhausted their spiritual energy, they would return to the sword gourd, then cycle out again, like a rolling tide of flying swords.

The screams from behind made him glance back, but the scene he saw was nearly enough to make him explode with rage.

Carson Flores was actually clinging tightly to Killian Jaramillo’s waist, hanging on to her as if his life depended on it!

Francisco Smith nearly lost his mind on the spot. My goddess, how dare you touch her?

But at this moment, escaping and surviving were the top priorities. Francisco Smith could only suppress the fury in his heart, yet at that instant, he swore vengeance.

Once I get out of here, I’ll make sure you’re dead!

Francisco Smith’s sword gourd was formidable; hundreds of flying swords churned, sword qi slicing through everything, as the three of them followed the path cleared by the flying swords upwards.

Just as they were about to break through the canopy of branches and vines, a light chuckle echoed eerily in the air.

”Nice treasure, I’ll be taking that!”

Following the voice, the surrounding branches and roots instantly multiplied several fold compared to before, wildly wrapping around the trio. A verdantly vivid branch mingled among them, rapidly thrusting towards Francisco Smith, who was holding the sword gourd.

Francisco Smith was taken aback, instinctively shrinking his hand back. The sword gourd blocked in front of him, and the branch hit it but did not pierce through.

The fierce impact hit the sword gourd and then transferred to Francisco Smith.

Francisco Smith spat out a mouthful of fresh blood and his figure plummeted abruptly.

Summoning her last bit of strength, Killian Jaramillo struck the ancient bell again. The golden glow shattered the swarming branches and roots, while Francisco Smith found footing on a flying sword, steadying his figure in mid-air.

Killian Jaramillo looked up at the sky filled with branches, vines, and roots, and the dome of heaven that was just a step away, her eyes revealing a look of despair.

Just one more step, and they could have broken free!

It seems today is the day we die here.

Just as Killian Jaramillo was sinking into despair, a blaze of fire suddenly shot into the sky, like a gigantic fire dragon, lunging for the firmament.

The boundless, scorching heat descended in an instant, burning all the obstructing branches, vines, and roots into charred remains.

With one strike from the fire dragon, a gaping hole was burned through the shadowy branches and leaves overhead, with sunshine pouring down through a massive gap in the sky.

A ray of light shot up, rushing through the gap and heading straight for the heavens, vanishing into a speck of light in an instant.

The distress talisman.

After releasing the distress talisman, Carson Flores breathed a sigh of relief, hoping that Delaney Hunter was close enough, for he had already recorded a video earlier and was just waiting for the chance to release it.

”Eh?”

From the treant’s mouth came a surprised exclamation; she clearly hadn’t expected these three, who were obviously just in the Golden Core Realm, to release such a powerful attack.

The limitless branches and roots spread rapidly again, sealing the exit once more.

She would not let Carson Flores and the others escape!

In that brief moment, Carson Flores cast a spell on the Fire Mirror, and it instantly produced a fire blade that was hundreds of meters long, slicing horizontally towards the base of the massive trunk in front of them.

He didn’t know what form the treant took, but as a tree, it must be rooted in the soil and trunk!

If he could sever the trunk, somehow, it was bound to injure the treant.

As soon as the fire blade appeared, it swept across like a red shadow, searing through everything it touched, splitting branches and roots neatly in two, as if a red-hot wire effortlessly cut through solid butter, smoothly without any resistance.

The treant apparently hadn’t foreseen this move from Carson Flores, catching her completely off guard.

The fire blade struck the trunk directly and then cut deeply into it.

Green light flickered wildly on the trunk, resisting the blade’s red light, but the fire blade’s ferocity was beyond imagination; pushed by the green light, it carved its way further in.

”Ah!”

A wretched howl arose, filling the land. The valley’s ground suddenly heaved wildly, earth churning, countless roots twisting violently, rising through the upheaval, branches and roots flailing, but for the moment, forgetting to continue their assault on Carson Flores and the others.

”How dare you injure me, I will make you wish you were dead!”
