The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 656: Chapter 656 I am a Doctor with Medical Ethics_1

After discarding the outer robe, Killian Jaramillo revealed half of her fair shoulder, and a large expanse of her chest was also exposed.

Carson Flores, originally a doctor, had seen many beautiful women. Although his mood was slightly unusual, he harbored no wicked thoughts. He gingerly adjusted Killian’s undergarment and then placed the Life Essence Pearl against her heart.

Spiritual Energy surged into the Life Essence Pearl, transforming into vitality that swiftly infused into Killian’s heart, and then spread to her internal organs, permeating her entire body.

Under the nourishment of vitality, Killian’s previously dormant heart slowly began to beat again. As blood flowed through her body, her pale face took on a charming blush.

Killian’s body became increasingly supple, gradually returning to that of a normal person, no longer resembling a beauty encased in ice.

Carson sensed that Killian’s injuries had almost healed, and he noticed her eyelids fluttering slightly, a sign that she would soon awaken.

Carson put away the Life Essence Pearl and tidied up Killian’s robes for her. His fingers inevitably made contact with her skin and, upon being touched, Killian’s pupils moved more urgently. When she realized that Carson had only fixed her clothes before withdrawing his hands, she calmed down.

Unaware of these nuances, Carson stepped out of the cave, selected a large tree, easily cut it down, and with flashes of sword light, transformed the tree trunk into a pile of firewood. He brought the firewood into the cave.

With a flash of the Water-Fire Mirror, a flame erupted from the Fire Mirror and fell upon the firewood. The wood instantly ignited, forming a roaring campfire.

Carson stored the Water-Fire Mirror and sat down quietly beside the fire, waiting for Killian to awaken.

Half an hour later, amidst the flickering firelight, Killian slowly opened her eyes, then closed them again, feeling the state of her body.

To her amazement, Killian found that all her injuries had healed!

Killian clenched her fingers twice, confirming that her body had no anomalies and she could fight at any time. She opened her eyes, turned her head, and looked at the man next to the fire.

When Killian clearly saw the man’s face, she was stunned.

Wasn’t this the very man she had encountered during her escape?

Not wanting to endanger him due to her actions, Killian had chosen to turn and face the enemy, buying the man time to flee. Unfortunately, she had underestimated the potency of the Snow Dragon Leopard King’s frost breath and was frozen solid, subsequently losing consciousness due to the rapid drop in temperature.

Was it him who saved her?

Being at the Golden Core Late Stage, she was no match for the Snow Dragon Leopard King. How had he managed to rescue her and flee from the Snow Dragon Leopard King with her?

Carson turned his head and smiled gently, ”You’re awake.”

Killian bit her lip, gazing intently at Carson, ”Was it you who saved me?”

Carson nodded, ”I hadn’t fled far when you fainted. I rushed out, caught you, and brought you here, treating your wounds...”

Without waiting for Killian to ask, Carson voluntarily confessed, ”You were seriously injured at the time. The high temperature could only solve the frost on your body, but not the internal issues. I had no choice but to channel Spiritual Energy into your heart to revive and heal your body.”

Carson pointed to Killian’s Magic Robe, ”Your robe has a defensive Formation. I couldn’t channel Spiritual Energy through it, so I had to undo your outer robe. There was some contact with your skin, but it was an emergency situation. Please understand, Miss Jaramillo, I was a doctor before entering this realm, with a standard of medical ethics. So please don’t overthink it, and I will not speak of this matter to anyone else.”

Killian’s face flushed red at once.

In the latter stages of her treatment by Carson, she was mostly in her senses and felt something pressing against her heart, continuously channeling Spiritual Energy and nourishing her body, treating her.

Aware upon waking that there was nothing unusual about herself, she guessed that the other party had acted this way to save her. Originally considering how to inquire about it, he had spoken quite frankly of his own accord.

Carson’s smile was gentle, his demeanor calm and his gaze clear, instantly convincing one of his sincerity.

Killian was not unreasonable; despite slight embarrassment, she bore no resentment, only gratitude.

If not for this man, she would soon have been caught by the Snow Dragon Leopard King, likely leaving her only one path: death, ending up as food in the belly of the Snow Dragon Leopard King.

He had saved her life.

Killian changed the subject, not dwelling on her body being touched, ”Thank you for saving me. Did the Snow Dragon Leopard King not pursue you?”

Carson casually fabricated a response, ”I was lucky, somehow he gave up the chase after a while.”

Killian uttered an ”Oh,” not suspecting his explanation. After all, in her view, if the Snow Dragon Leopard King had relentlessly pursued them, how could Carson have withstood it? They both would have been dead long ago, and there would be no chance for this conversation by the fire.

Really, such good luck!

Curiosity appeared in Killian’s eyes, ”You just mentioned you were a doctor before entering this realm; are you from the outside world?”
