The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 672: Chapter 672: Is This Considered Clinging to a Powerful Thigh?_1

Delaney Hunter fell from the sky, her expression as usual.

”Have you all recovered?”

The three of them hurriedly stood up, all nodding their heads.

After a period of rest and the aid of elixirs, they had not fully recovered, but they now possessed the strength to fight.

Delaney Hunter tapped her chin, ”You two go back first. Report this matter to the Sect on your own, Francisco Smith, tell your father he owes me a favor.”

Francisco Smith bowed, ”Thank you, Peak Master Hunter, for your assistance. I will definitely report back to the Sect truthfully when I return.”

”Go ahead.”

Francisco Smith looked at Killian Jaramillo, who approached Carson Flores, smiling, ”Let’s add each other’s contact information for easier communication later on.”

”Sure!”

Carson Flores took out his Communication Stone, touched it against Killian Jaramillo’s stone, and after a flash of white light, they added each other’s contact details.

”See you later.”

”Okay!”

Francisco Smith and Killian Jaramillo left. Delaney Hunter glanced at Killian Jaramillo’s retreating figure and smiled, ”She fancies you.”

Carson Flores candidly replied, ”I’ve saved her life before.”

Delaney Hunter raised an eyebrow, ”Oh?”

Carson Flores recounted the encounter with the Snow Dragon Leopard King. Delaney Hunter uttered an ”Oh” in response, ”After all these twists and turns, you two keep meeting. Having shared adversities twice now, that can be considered fate.”

Carson Flores smiled, ”I am a married man.”

Delaney Hunter appeared indifferent, ”A wife in the mortal world? It seems rather unlikely you’ll be together again.”

Carson Flores shook his head, ”She’s entered Rajevols; we’ll definitely meet again one day.”

Delaney Hunter’s gaze carried a hint of surprise; she knew just how difficult it was for someone from the mortal world to enter a Blessed Land of Cave Heavens.

Although it was the second time Carson Flores had seen Delaney Hunter, it was the first time he truly interacted with her. Unsure of her temperament, he refrained from sharing more of his personal affairs.

Carson Flores gave a fist-and-palm salute, ”Thank you for saving me, Peak Master.”

Delaney Hunter was nonchalant, ”You reside on Flying Waterfall Mountain Peak; you’re considered a disciple of the Peak. Moreover, my master once mentioned you’re Wilson Weiss’s student, and my master admires Wilson Weiss quite a bit. Thus, it’s only right for me to look after you... I saw you use the Sword Veil before. You have fully mastered it, and it’s even better than I expected. How long did you practice?”

Carson Flores answered, ”About ten days. I had already mastered it before entering the Secret Realm. It’s just that in a scenario like earlier, I have limited strength, and my Spiritual Energy was depleted quickly, so I couldn’t sustain it for long.”

Delaney Hunter’s eyes showed a trace of astonishment. To have fully mastered the Sword Veil basics in ten days?

This talent was a bit terrifying.

How long did it take her back then?

Twenty days!

Carson Flores had mastered it in half the time it took her!

Delaney Hunter gave it some thought, ”My master once said, since you’ve practiced the vast and righteous techniques, there’s no need to join the Four Great Sects. Those techniques are not inferior to the core teachings of any sect within the Four Great Sects. However, nurturing an honest and upright spirit and advancing quickly in realm requires reliance on other methods in actual combat. You understand what I’m saying?”

Carson Flores nodded, ”Cultivation techniques elevate one’s realm and strength, but the means to truly exhibit combat power lie in the Flying Sword, Spells, or secret skills. A Cultivator must not only diligently improve their technique to increase their power but also practice how to deploy that power.”

It’s like someone who exercises their strength daily. Once they have strength, how can they demonstrate greater power? Of course, you can simply throw a punch, but if you learn boxing and how to exert force properly, then the same punch can yield many times more power when thrown.”

Delaney Hunter smiled, ”The Three-foot Sword Veil is my secret technique, and it’s one of the combat methods I just mentioned. Would you like to learn it?”

Carson Flores had witnessed Delaney Hunter, in her Nascent Soul Great Perfection, instantly eliminate the Nascent Soul Great Perfection tree demon. Both being of Nascent Soul Great Perfection, such a drastic difference in realm strength was implausible. The only possibility was the Three-foot Sword Veil, Delaney Hunter’s signature skill.

If Delaney Hunter was willing to teach, Carson Flores was certainly eager to learn.

He was capable of controlling a Flying Sword, which indeed had a long attack range, but it also had many inconveniences. For example, Killian Jaramillo’s Flying Sword was immobilized by the Snow Dragon Leopard King, and Elder Ishaan Roth’s frantic Flying Sword failed to stop the tree demon’s onslaught. In contrast, Delaney Hunter, immobile, had caused branches and roots to disintegrate into dust, providing Carson Flores with a profound shock.

”Of course I’m willing, but Peak Master, do I need to formally become your student?”

Delaney Hunter’s face revealed a slight, shallow smile, ”Your master, Wilson Weiss, and my master are peers. We can therefore consider ourselves on the same level. No need to formally become a student; just call me senior sister. I’ll be standing in for my master to pass on the technique. When you see the Cave Master, just call him ’teacher uncle.’”

Carson Flores was overjoyed internally. Had he not latched onto a powerful supporter? With Delaney Hunter as his senior sister and Cave Master Daxton Campbell as his teacher uncle, in Nutwood Heavenly Cave—let alone elsewhere—there should be no one daring to bully him! And even in the broader Cultivation Realm, his background should not be underestimated.

Carson Flores clasped his hands together, bowing deeply with sincere respect, ”Senior Sister!”

Proper respects must be paid when acknowledging a teacher. Although Delaney Hunter referred to herself as senior sister, her willingness to impart the secret technique of the Three-foot Sword Veil made her akin to a teacher to him. With nothing in hand to give, a mere title of senior sister didn’t seem to accord with propriety.

Carson Flores was not a stingy person. With this in mind, he took out a Ninth-Grade Lotus Platform from his Space Ring, ”This is a meeting gift from your junior brother. Please, Senior Sister, accept it!”
