The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 602: Chapter 602: The Embrace Before Parting_1

”Rajevols, how do I get there?”

”Head to the city of Haidong, and then to Sanyuan Village to find the guide. He will sail me across the sea and reach Rajevols.”

Carson Flores held Shirley Miller’s hand, his gaze reluctant, ”So I can only see you off to Sanyuan Village?”

Shirley Miller nodded, ”Yes, like other Blessed Lands of Cave Heavens, without a proper introduction, entry isn’t allowed, not even for my husband.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”I have no idea how my mother gained entry to Mount Kahdas back then. Was it because my father arranged an introduction for her, or was it due to Miss Tang’s influence?”

Shirley Miller turned her head, her lovely eyes fixating on Carson Flores, ”Once I’ve earned the qualifications to travel, I’ll personally investigate your uncle and aunt’s whereabouts at Mount Kahdas.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”If my parents are there and see their daughter-in-law arriving at their doorstep, I wonder how they’ll feel.”

Shirley Miller’s cheeks flushed slightly, ”I imagine they would be quite happy to hear the news I bring about you.”

Carson Flores hesitated for a moment and then spoke softly, ”If... I mean, if you ever get the chance to go to Kahdas, just take a quiet look. If they are still happily together, pass on my news to them. But, if something unfortunate has occurred... you can decide what to do then.”

Shirley Miller, being astute, instantly understood the subtext of Carson Flores’s words and gently nodded, ”Okay... but you have high talent for cultivation and good fortune. Perhaps by the time I get the authority to leave, you’ll have made accomplishments in the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens, and I still won’t have the qualifications to venture out.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”It’s not that easy. I don’t have any great patrons to rely on. Unlike you, who’s directly become a core disciple and receives focused cultivation. It won’t be easy to surpass you, but I’ll try hard, hoping to reunite with you sooner.”

As they spoke about parting ways, Shirley Miller’s mood inevitably became a bit melancholic.

With this farewell, who knows how long it will be until they meet again!

Carson Flores had a sudden thought, ”Right, you take the Lightning Mink with you to Rajevols.”

Shirley Miller was taken aback, ”Why? Keep it for yourself. Even though the Lightning Mink isn’t a top-tier exotic beast, it has great potential. If you raise it, it can be a big help to you later on.”

Carson Flores laughed, ”Firstly, I’m running all over the place right now, so it’s inconvenient to bring it along. Secondly, you mentioned it yourself, raising an exotic beast requires a lot of resources. I can barely manage myself, let alone spare resources to cultivate it. Besides, if I bring an exotic beast into the Blessed Land of Cave Heavens in the future, won’t that just attract trouble for myself? Since you’re a third-generation core disciple, raising a Lightning Mink shouldn’t bring you calculations and schemes, right?”

Shirley Miller thought about it and then agreed, ”Alright, I’ll take care of it for you for now, and give it back to you when we meet again.”

Carson Flores didn’t want to bicker and casually replied, ”Alright, alright, you help take care of it. I don’t even know how to raise it properly. If it follows me, it might end up being spoiled.”

”Okay!”

The pair took a flight, then switched to driving, and finally arrived in Haidong City.

Haidong City was just a small coastal county, mostly inhabited by generations of fishing families. It was nowhere near bustling, nor was it a tourist destination.

”Where is Sanyuan Village?”

”Twenty miles out of the city, it’s an inconspicuous little fishing village.”

Shirley Miller replied, pursing her lips and gazing into the distance, ”It’s getting late. Let’s stay in Haidong City for the night and head there tomorrow morning.”

”Okay!”

Carson Flores naturally wouldn’t refuse an extra night together with Shirley Miller. After all, during this visit, he had hardly spent a few days with her.

They had dinner and then went to the largest hotel in the county, where they got a room.

”You take a shower first.”

They had been in similar situations many times before, yet for some reason, Carson Flores felt an inexplicable sense of anticipation at that moment.

He and Shirley Miller had confirmed their affections for each other and were already a registered married couple. Now that they were about to part ways, would something happen between them?

This wasn’t to say that Carson Flores was impatient for intimacy. It was a natural expectation that came with the flow, a progressive, normal emotion.

Who wouldn’t want to partake in some mutually enjoyable activities with such a beautiful woman in his arms?

After the shower, Shirley Miller lay quietly in Carson Flores’s arms. He felt encouraged, and gently holding her, he initiated a kiss.

Shirley Miller did not resist.

Carson Flores immediately became excited, but just as he was about to draw his sword, Shirley Miller held him tight, preventing any further movement.

”Husband, I’m sorry.”

Carson Flores was taken aback, his fervor cooling down in an instant, and he said with a wry smile, ”What’s the situation? This is a bit torturous, you know.”

Shirley Miller explained in a low voice while lying in his arms, ”It’s not that I’m unwilling, but I have received my master’s inheritance and have only completed the first phase. I haven’t fully absorbed it yet. My master stressed repeatedly that until it’s completely absorbed and transformed, I must not lose my Primordial Yin Body; otherwise, the inheritance would be in vain, and the path to immortality closed off.”

Carson Flores suddenly understood, and any resentment quickly faded, ”Well, that’s fine. We’ll see each other again soon, and by then you should have completed your absorption, right?”

Shirley Miller nodded, ”I definitely will have.”

Carson Flores kissed her forehead, ”Okay, then let’s consider it a beautiful promise between husband and wife.”

Shirley Miller pursed her lips, blushing deeply, ”I’m the one at fault here, so let me... make it up to you in some way.”
