Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 680: Chapter 654: Mess with Qian and You’re Dead

Qian suddenly remembered. Among these middle-aged women who came in, she recognized the one with black-rimmed glasses.

It was that school principal with a ”straight man cancer” mindset, who believed it was a girl’s fault if she was violated by bad people!

This principal previously looked down on Liumei for being a girl and despised Qiuqiu for having gender identity issues, so she rejected both of them.

Later, she recklessly commented on Weiwei’s matter. Although she is an educator and a woman herself, she uses patriarchal thinking to hastily draw conclusions, taking money from Lv Zhi to falsely testify that Weiwei’s behavior was usually inappropriate.

Qian had met this principal during her past confrontations with Lv Zhi and Ye Daqian and was deeply impressed by this person’s ”straight man cancer” ways, yet this principal didn’t recognize Qian at all.

”Isn’t there a seat right here? Why don’t you let us sit? You servants just take money and don’t do your work. If you can’t handle it, just get out! I’ll complain to your manager later!”

The middle-aged woman with the principal snapped at the staff, obviously not treating them as human beings.

With an unhappy frown, Shui Xian remembered when she had anorexia. Qian took her to work at a barbecue place, serving dishes as a form of experiencing life. The friendship between them was built from going through hardships together, so Shui Xian held a special bond with Qian and also developed a different connection with service workers.

This is really tough work, and these hard-working and dedicated attendants shouldn’t be disrespected like this.

”You just go ahead, I’ll explain to your manager and make sure they don’t trouble you,” Qian said to the attendant. The server thanked her repeatedly, bowed to Qian and Shui Xian, and left.

”Meddlesome.” The middle-aged woman who scolded the attendant glanced at Qian, then turned and put on a fawning smile towards the principal with black-rimmed glasses.

”Mr An, this way, please.”

The bodyguard looked at Shui Xian and Qian, with a look that seemed to say, ”Look at how your good intentions are taken for donkey’s liver and lungs, you two big saints!”

Such an ungrateful person should just be kicked out to eat dirt.

Shui Xian felt a headache when the bodyguard looked at them, she and Qian didn’t want to make it hard for the attendants, but the bodyguard occasionally acted in a way that gave people the illusion that he was the boss.

”If you’re willing to sit, then eat with us. If not, stand outside.” Shui Xian sent the bodyguard away.

”Yes, Miss.”

Qian propped her face with her hand and watched the scene, the amusement in her eyes growing stronger.

If she hadn’t known this person in her past life, she might have believed this was a real bodyguard. What good acting!

”Did your godfather find this bodyguard for you?”

”Yeah, but we don’t really get along. Somehow, just looking into his eyes makes me upset. By the way, Qian’er, isn’t your future sister-in-law learning martial arts? Interested in being my bodyguard?”

”Her? She’s indeed looking for work recently, though she might not like being a bodyguard. She’s currently researching opening a martial arts training school with another friend of mine. Want to invest? You put in some, and I’ll put in some.”

Shui Xian was amused by Qian, ”I was wondering why you were being so nice today; turns out you were waiting for me here. Sure, any project you fancy wouldn’t go wrong. Give me an account number later, and I’ll invest.”

”Aren’t you going to take a look at their proposal?”

After Qiuqiu and Liumei hit roadblocks in their job searches, they figured they might as well work on their own. Qiuqiu’s into physical education, Liumei is a national martial arts champion; opening a special martial arts interest class could be quite lucrative, and Qian conveniently brought on a major shareholder for them.

”No need, your friends are my friends. I’ll buy fewer bags, and that’s enough.” Shui Xian didn’t care about such a small amount of money.

Qian’s words today to push Shui Xian were very on point, easing her feelings of depression by half. For that alone, investing tens of thousands is worth it.

”I’ve seen the project, and it won’t lose money. It will take a year or so to develop. It’s nice for girls to have a bit of ambition; both of them are very capable. They just hadn’t met the right person during their previous interviews—some people rejected them due to gender.” Qian gave a pointed look at the principal at the next table.

What a small world, to run into her here.

”I hate it most when women aren’t given job opportunities due to gender discrimination—” Shui Xian didn’t finish her sentence when voices from the next table caught her attention.

”Women just can’t do it; quickly get some male teachers over here!”

”Yes, yes, Mr An, you’re right. I have been looking for candidates, but none seem satisfactory. There were two good applicants before, one even a martial arts champion.”

”I’ve seen that martial arts champion, and it won’t do. Too coquettish, doesn’t look like a PE teacher. Young women like her either get married or have children, which delays work. If she’s put in school, she’ll just think about seducing male teachers!”

Qian narrowed her eyes. Did this principal have her man taken away by someone? Why such resentment towards young, pretty girls?

”There’s also one named Xiao Miqiu, with pretty decent personal qualities.”

”Ridiculous! Bringing such an androgynous person into school is bad for the students and sets a poor example. I despise people like that! Find me someone quickly!”

Shui Xian watched as Qian, who had been calmly drinking tea at first, placed her teacup on the table with a frosty look in her eyes.

Qian seemed upset.

The discussion over there wasn’t over yet, and Mr An, who bore stubborn prejudices against women, continued to add fuel to the fire.

”You host the educational meeting this afternoon; an old classmate’s spouse of mine is in the hospital, and I need to visit them.”

Mainly because Lv Zhi needed her to help Ye Daqian prove Weiwei was a kid with bad character. While Mr An had already accepted the money, Ye Daqian was inexplicably hospitalized, so she had to make an appearance.

No matter if Ye Daqian lived or died, that money wasn’t going to be returned.

This meal was a work lunch with a trusted director of instruction. Some things weren’t convenient to say at the school’s cafeteria, so they randomly found a small restaurant to dine and talk at. Mr An never expected her bad luck, to run into Qian like this.

”Most issues are easy to handle, except the investigation team is coming this afternoon to look into the matter of Ye Xiaowei. How should I respond if you’re not around?”

”Just say what needs to be said. This girl has always behaved indecently, and because her father disciplined and hit her a few times, she’s making a fuss about dying. What happened out of school isn’t entirely about us. Handle it as you see fit, emphasize her complicated relationships, and I’ve instructed the homeroom teacher to cooperate with you.”

”Yes, yes, you’re absolutely right. I’ll go check why the dishes aren’t here yet; these servers are useless, taking so long to serve a dish.”

The fawning woman went out, and one could still hear her berating the staff through the door, utterly lacking the demeanor of an educator, hurling insults at the servers.

”The dishes will be ready soon, Mr An, please wait a moment.” The woman returned, nodding and bowing to Mr An.

”Shui Xian, you start eating. I need to step outside for a moment.”

Qian stood up and walked out.

First, she insulted her sister-in-law Yu Liumei, and then called her friend Qiuqiu a freak, and dared smear her patient Weiwei—this principal was done for.
