Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 490: Chapter 464: Truly Looking Forward to It (Bonus for 850 Monthly Tickets)

Instructor Zhao was just testing the waters, but Mr Liu threw out a big move right away, making it clear that Chen Xiaoqian must be protected, and whoever dares to touch her, she’s willing to fight them to the end.

This old lady never cares about the complex web of interests; once provoked, she’s bold enough to take anyone down. Forget the dean, even the principal wouldn’t dare mess with her. Though her mix hasn’t been great, she’s definitely someone others dare not offend.

When Mr Liu straightforwardly expressed her stance, the instructor began to worry.

”The matter can be big or small. If the other side genuinely wants to create a media storm, it might not be favorable for us. Please understand our position. How about letting Chen Xiaoqian confront them face-to-face? If the matter is baseless, it’ll clear the child’s name. But if there’s truth, we can’t ignore the school’s reputation.”

”Reputation? When you folks act like a disgrace as educators, did you think of the school’s reputation? She didn’t do it, and there’s no need for confrontation. You must resolve this somehow; if not, you have to, because when I step in, it’ll be a big deal!”

Mr Liu made her point crystal clear, with no room for negotiation. Qian just quietly appreciated her teacher standing up for her. This old lady, the way she handled it, was quite impressive.

”But, but...” The instructor was in a dilemma.

She’s just a small character caught in the middle, unable to offend Mr Liu, nor dare to report back to the dean.

Xiaoqian had enjoyed the drama enough and stood up.

”Let me handle this matter. I know who’s been sabotaging me behind my back.”

”Chen Xiaoqian, this doesn’t require you to step in. I’ll resolve it.” Mr Liu felt it was her responsibility. Plus, she liked Qian as a child, and the matter of Qian treating Wang Yafei was under her authorization; she couldn’t just let it go.

”It’s not a big deal. If I can’t handle it, then you step in; the truth will prevail.”

The reason Xiaoqian decided to do this was partly to end things with her aunt, and partly because she had the capability to elegantly solve the issue.

Hiding behind the teacher could indeed calm this peanut-sized storm, but offending other leaders is not beneficial. The others won’t sabotage her in this matter but have many opportunities elsewhere to disgust her. There’s no need for unnecessary trouble.

”Yes, yes, your awareness is quite good. I trust your capability, so please handle it well. It’s best if you can settle things privately.” The instructor was very pleased with Qian’s proactive behavior, nodding repeatedly.

Heaving a sigh of relief, throwing away the hot potato—

”Then, is the issue between you and a certain student regarding failing a class also settled privately? Did they give you cosmetics, or a bag?” Mr Liu mercilessly interjected, making the instructor very embarrassed.

This old lady normally doesn’t meddle in these things, but it seems that nothing escapes her notice.

”Well, you all continue eating. I’m leaving!”

The instructor almost couldn’t wait to leave.

Qian found it amusing, watching Mr Liu’s puffed-up expression, and couldn’t help but persuade her.

”Teacher, why get angry with them? This isn’t a big issue; I have ways to handle it.”

”It’s just how I can’t stand these people, treating a feather as a command, retreating to bureaucracy at the first sign of trouble. Bah! Such matters didn’t even amount to anything. The school could turn a blind eye and let it pass. Yet confrontation? Confront what! Obviously, it’s because the accuser has status, and they dare not offend— Chen Xiaoqian! Have you been causing trouble outside!”

Mr Liu was flustered, but her approach to outsiders differed from that towards familiar ones. The former sentences were filled with dissatisfaction and sarcasm towards the world, while the latter was the attitude an elder takes towards a misbehaving child.

”No, I’m more unjustly accused than Dou E. Who did I provoke? This is clearly her not letting me off!”

”You know who it is?”

”Of course, it’s Yu Gangdan’s aunt, Yu Weiguo’s sister, Qi Jiao’s sister-in-law; just her. Her son initially had some connection with me. The story goes like this...”

Qian narrated the whole affair from start to finish, not treating the teacher as an outsider. Plus, in this situation, if she didn’t explain clearly, this old lady would nag her for ages.

From the time her college admission letter was hidden by the class teacher and her father, to her engagement to a scumbag, she incidentally mentioned how she met Yu Gangdan. Then, the ongoing conflicts with her aunt...

Mr Liu listened, her brows knitted tightly, filled with resentment.

At the end, Mr Liu’s face was grave, uttering a conclusion that made Qian chuckle helplessly.

”That rascal Yu Gangdan finally did something manly; good job, salvaging a psychologist for our industry.”

After listening for so long, coming to such a conclusion was quite ridiculous.

”So this is my dilemma. I know between people it’s not just confrontation. There are gentler ways to interact. But look at someone like my aunt; she’s always stirring things up. Push her down once, she gathers spirit and comes back after a while. Push again, she returns. Life is so beautiful; why should I bother with an old lady with a tendency for a paranoid personality?”

This time Qian decided directly to push her aunt down to never get back up, one final resolution. Enough with the fuss.

”This unreasonable tigress, not enough brain but quite evil. When she bullied Qi back then, I couldn’t stand it. Unexpectedly, she’s no better after all these years. I’ll go to her, talk about the time in ’83 when her husband was on a business trip, and she had a night out with a mature young man.”

Qian had a black line, ”Teacher, are you 007?”

To know all this? How uncanny!

”Too outrageous, bullying on my people now! I’m going to her. At her age, she should be growing flowers, cultivating arts, nurturing her soul, instead of coming up with these ridiculous things daily!”

”Teacher, please don’t go. It’s between her and me; I’ll handle it.”

”You?”

”Yes, there’s cause and effect. I should thoroughly conclude it. If I can’t do it, then talk about the mature young man— Teacher, did she really rendezvous with a young man?”

Can’t tell, is my aunt actually that kind of person?

”Humph, perhaps unknown unless oneself doesn’t reveal. If she dares to act, she shouldn’t fear others knowing! Qian, psychologists potentially knowing the most secrets; you’ll encounter many secrets in the future. And for these secrets, you must keep them for others, not casually leak, as it’s unethical!”

”...So, teacher, are you covering it up?” Previously saying that, later forcing a main melody, how interesting the teacher is.

”Humph!” Mr Liu turned away in satisfaction.

Qian lifted the corners of her mouth, it’s time to showcase her abilities. Aunt, looking forward to meeting indeed.
