Return of the Antagonistic Lady Boss

Chapter 459: Chapter 433: Strange People

Qian put sleeping pills in Professor’s porridge, prescribed by the doctor.

All these were Mr Liu’s ideas. Qian has a free pass, so even if Professor wakes up angry, she can’t find her.

Without doing this, Professor would crawl out to see patients, too much responsibility.

Qian saw Mr Liu asleep and rummaged through her coat.

Professor has a small notebook she carries, where she writes her patients’ names and contact information. Qian was well versed with Professor’s habits from a previous life, so she easily found it.

”Today at 11 AM in the office, patient name, Wang Yafei...”

Qian quickly browsed the information, then wrote a note for Professor, telling her to settle accounts with her teacher when she wakes up and that she would temporarily handle this patient.

Anyway, since Professor’s drugged, she won’t easily let her off when she wakes up, might as well go all the way with the bad deed ~.

After handling everything, Qian explained the situation to the doctor and left.

The medicine would make Professor sleep for several hours, and by the time she wakes, Qian should have finished, so even if Professor wanted to be angry, it would be too late. Qian could also keep Professor in the hospital for one more day of observation.

Actually, hospitalization wasn’t necessary, but everyone knows this old lady is too diligent. If she goes back, she won’t stay put, distracting herself with work. This illness needs rest, better to lie in the hospital for two days.

Qian took the office key she found and walked right into Mr Liu’s office. After waiting a bit, the scheduled patient arrived.

It was a tall, thin man, looking young, around 20, with a crew cut and upright posture. Qian could immediately tell.

His standing posture and aura were different, not an ordinary person.

”Excuse me, are you Mr Liu?” Wang Yafei didn’t expect a young girl to be sitting behind the chair.

”You can call me Mr Chen, I’m Mr Liu’s student. She’s hospitalized, so I will conduct your consultation.”

”Oh... then forget it.”

Wang Yafei stood up, said goodbye, and headed out. He didn’t want to undergo psychological counseling, only considered it due to his friend Chu Xuan’s suggestion because he feared affecting his HR assessment tomorrow.

Turns out the person was a young girl, he didn’t want to disclose his privacy to such a young-looking girl.

”Wang Yafei, male, 20, wanted advice on potential psychological disorder issues. This problem has likely been with you for a long time, but you’ve only started paying attention because you have major plans, related to a special position you’re applying for.”

Wang Yafei stopped, turned around surprised. His expression showed Qian had guessed correctly.

”How do you know so much?”

He only told Mr Liu his age, name, and what he wanted to ask about, so how did this girl know so much?

Qian adjusted her glasses, thinking to herself if she couldn’t convince him, how could she let others call her Qian?

”Sit down, let’s talk.”

A good doctor knows how to calm patients down; Qian immediately left Wang Yafei in awe.

”Mr Chen, is my condition serious? I have a very important assessment tomorrow.”

”Assessment... could it be for a million-dollar salary HR position at the Yu Family company?”

Is he Xiaoqiang’s person?

”How come you know this too?!”

So that was a guess come true.

Qian originally thought this was a usual case, but heard he was taking an assessment for Yu Minglang’s company, she immediately focused and moved the topic to formal treatment.

Yu Minglang’s company, what kind of place is that?

A super-listed company offering million-dollar salaries — that’s just the external impression. Internally, Qian had only one impression.

That’s her man’s place and she absolutely can’t let anyone problematic go there to cause trouble for Xiaoqiang.

Anyone eligible for Xiaoqiang’s reality show HR selection with a million-dollar salary must have an outstanding resume and qualifications. In Qian’s view, psychological strength needs heightened criteria too, anyone with psychological issues can’t perform well; missing by a tiny margin could cause a thousand miles of error.

Wang Yafei presented his issues; Qian quickly jotted down notes, and after Wang Yafei finished, she understood the situation somewhat.

”You say when handling work you occasionally feel palpitations, dizziness, and shock, not for long. You checked your health too, and no issues found, correct?”

Qian only saw one small line about potential psychological disorder in the professor’s book, but specific diagnosis required a chat.

This reaction indeed matched potential psychological disorder response.

”Yes, all my health metrics are fine.”

Qian pondered briefly, certain it was a reaction from psychological issues, but couldn’t confirm yet if it was a potential psychological disorder. Because usually, psychological disorders manifest as a result of past trauma impacting later life.

These responses usually are delayed; for some, it’s months later, some years, some days.

When a normal person suddenly experiences trauma — violence, disaster, natural calamities, man-made calamities, or non-natural fatalities, it may lead to such responses.

Manifestations vary widely; some may experience insomnia, irritability, lack of focus, hypervigilance, shock, restlessness, rapid heartbeat, muscle soreness. Hence, after events like earthquakes, psychological recovery by physicians is mandatory for survivors.

”Have there been any significant events recently? When did you first notice these symptoms?” Qian asked.

”Nothing significant, I started working at my old unit after college, now nearly two years, no anomalies noticed before, until three months ago... I started feeling unwell while handling work, dizzy while looking at complex spreadsheets.”

”Nearly two years into the job before noticing issues?”

An HR job heavily relies on paperwork, no reason to detect issues so late now.

”In the first year, I was in logistics; later excelled to HR, then promoted due to outstanding performance.”

”...Logistics?” Fast promotion in two years; that might indicate deep accomplishments, especially in a major place like his old unit, potentially bigger than Xiaoqiang’s current one.

”Can I ask what major accomplishment earned it?” Such rapid promotion suggests significant contribution.

”Not convenient to discuss.”

Realizing Wang Yafei’s projecting gaze, Qian apologized.

”Alright, let’s get back on track, detail your initial abnormal reaction experience as thoroughly as possible. Then, I’ll try to hypnotize you to find the problem’s origin...”
