Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1035: Chapter 1033: Deploying the White Bone Obelisk

Dominik hadn’t yet understood Gu Xi’s intentions, but after acquiring undead capable of serving as hard labor, he didn’t insist on using those from the conversion undead squad.

Thus, the conversion undead squad dispersed immediately, leaving only some key troops such as the Black Dragon Camp and Black Spear Camp to guard nearby.

The four Equipment Carriers under Gu Xi’s command remained by his side, awaiting his orders.

”Yellow Springs Dragon Robe, take care of the nearby land. This task was initially meant for the Titan, since his Death Land can suppress the Mud Undead here.

However, the battle situation with the Bone Dragon requires the Death Incarnation, and I cannot conveniently switch the Death Incarnation to the Titan right now.

Yellow Springs Dragon Robe, you are in charge of converting the ground here.”

The Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier immediately understood Gu Xi’s intention upon hearing the command.

The most troublesome aspect of the Death City ahead was the condition of the ground.

As long as this ground could be cleared and turned into a surface controlled by Gu Xi, everything would cease to be a problem.

There are many methods to control the ground.

The best means, of course, is the Death Land of Gu Xi’s Death Incarnation-Titan.

As long as he stands there, the ground converts towards the direction Gu Xi needs.

But the problem is that in the Bone Dragon Corps within the city, there are sixty bone dragons mimicking the Death Incarnation.

They are the main force controlling the sky over the Death City.

Re-summoning the Death Incarnation is not difficult for Gu Xi, but without the presence of these sixty mimic Death Incarnation bone dragons, there is a possibility of being ambushed by the enemy.

Gu Xi will not make a mistake here.

Thus, if adjustments to the nearby ground are desired at this time, to make it suitable to Gu Xi’s style, the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe must be utilized.

The Netherworld Dragon Robe Carrier boldly stepped forward at Gu Xi’s command.

”Dragon Burial Vein!”

The Yellow Springs Dragon Robe immediately utilized a Dragon Burial Vein skill.

However, he didn’t completely execute this skill.

The Dragon Burial Vein has the ability to convert earth veins into Bone Dragons or Ghost Dragons.

But Gu Xi didn’t intend to extract the earth veins of this Death City now.

Instead, he wanted to reorganize these earth veins.

Thus, the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe only completed half of the Dragon Burial Vein.

As the Earth Vein Power was about to condense, the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe pressed downwards, dispersing the gathered Earth Vein Power.

As a result, the Mud Ghost Dragon that was about to form was immediately scattered, a large amount of Aura of Death, mixed with soil, was forced back into the earth.

Merging back with the Aura of Death, the soil returned to the surface, and the land near this City Gate was now under Gu’s control.

After completing this, the White Bone Obelisk Carrier, who had been standing behind Gu Xi, stepped forward and extended his hand to Gu Xi.

Gu Xi understood his intention at a glance.

Rummaging through his backpack, he took out a few pieces of Purple Armor obtained during the recent battlefield cleanup.

When held in his hand, these pieces of Purple Armor still squirmed, attempting to automatically equip themselves on Gu Xi.

However, Gu Xi didn’t give these Purple Armors any chance, and quickly handed them all to the White Bone Obelisk Carrier.

The White Bone Obelisk Carrier, with the pieces of Purple Armor in hand, ascended above the City Wall, raising his hand. The White Bone Obelisk, previously held in his hand, flew out automatically, growing larger until it reached a height of fifteen meters.

Letting go of his hand, the flying White Bone Obelisk descended toward the open ground below.

Simultaneously, he kicked two pieces of Purple Armor lying nearby to the spot where the White Bone Obelisk was about to land.

At the moment the White Bone Obelisk landed, numerous bone-composed arms reached up from the ground, supporting the White Bone Obelisk.

Subsequently, layers upon layers of bone fragments began to appear on the ground, resembling layers of cement laid upon the surface, forming a foundation for the White Bone Obelisk.

Once everything stabilized, the White Bone Obelisk settled atop these layers of bones.

In that instant, the White Bone Obelisk temporarily transformed into a White Bone Soul-Calling Tower, becoming the core of this occupied area.

Meanwhile, the surface, having been altered by the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe moments ago, underwent further changes.

If the Yellow Springs Dragon Robe’s actions had flipped the ground over, then the White Bone Obelisk’s actions had directly cemented it.

Now, the position at the City Gate was truly an area under Gu Xi’s control.

With just this move, Gu Xi had seized one side of the Death City’s City Gate and the majority of the City Wall, additionally securing an open area equivalent to about two squares.

Nothing more needs to be said; his forces are now able to deploy inside the city.

Thus, even if the enemy wished to send troops to reclaim it, Gu Xi now had a solid foothold for counterattacks.

After confirming that the situation was in his favor, Gu Xi turned and addressed Amirka.

”Amirka, lead the Aurora Knight Order outside the city and locate the opponent’s other City Gates. Now that we have seized one of their City Gates, they must either send troops from within the city to reclaim it,

or they must dispatch soldiers from the City Gate to circle around.

The terrain inside the city is unsuitable for cavalry operations; the open field is your domain.”

Hearing Gu Xi’s command, Amirka’s eyes lit up.

”My lord, the battle outside...”

”Handle it as you see fit. I have only one demand: ensure the safety of the subsequent reinforcement troops.”

Gu Xi was well aware of the nature of leader-level heroes.

Instead of suppressing their personalities and forcing them to follow orders in battle, it was better to place them in suitable positions and let them perform freely.

Though they may occasionally create unexpected issues for Gu Xi, their performance can be quite remarkable at times.

Upon receiving Gu Xi’s command, Amirka raised his Long Spear high.

”Aurora Knight Order, follow me.”

Under Amirka’s command, the temporary Red Knight and Pale Knight units assigned by Gu Xi also followed behind Amirka, moving out of the City Gate.

Coincidentally, the second batch of undead reinforcements also arrived at this time.

This group of Undead Corps had just battled against the Mud Undead on the battlefield.

After a brief rest and recovery in Yalidu City, Eldest Princess Anna reorganized them with some tool-user heroes and sent them over.

Eldest Princess Anna dispatched them immediately due to their experience in battling the Mud Undead.

While they may not be the most powerful, they are definitely the most experienced in dealing with Mud Undead.

Their arrival not only strengthened Gu Xi’s forces but also brought experience in combating Mud Undead, though the experience was limited.
