Undead Mage from a Cell

Chapter 1032: Chapter 1030: The New Leader Takes Office

When setting out, several equipment carriers had already gathered around Gu Xi.

This time, it’s about preparing for a great battle, and Gu Xi plans to deploy all his strength.

So, aside from the original three equipment carriers, even the equipment carrier of the White Bone Obelisk came forward.

As he appeared, a layer of Bone Armor began to form on Gu Xi, similar to the effect of a Bone Shield. It seemed to consider the fact that Gu Xi was not a heavy armor professional, so the Bone Armor just kept swirling around him.

Subsequently, Gu Xi’s subordinates also began to don the Bone Armor slowly.

It can be seen that the effect of the White Bone Obelisk is quite remarkable; even if Gu Xi doesn’t use it actively, just placing it there can significantly boost his subordinates’ combat strength.

It seems that during the upcoming battle, the White Bone Obelisk will need to be strategically utilized.

In the previous battle, Gu Xi picked up quite a few Purple Armor pieces from the Octopus-headed player’s side.

Gu Xi just took a glance at the appearance of these Purple Armor pieces and had no further interest in researching them.

Once the White Bone Obelisk needs sacrifices, these Purple Armor pieces will serve perfectly as offerings.

As Gu Xi was pondering this matter, the rear troops had already caught up.

This is Eldest Princess Anna’s newly adjusted troop, mainly composed of Bone-devouring Mud and Bone Locusts, along with bug-type units like Poison Corpse Flies and Bloodthirsty Mosquitoes.

The reason they were dispatched is partly because they didn’t participate much in the previous battle; complete and ready, they don’t require much adjustment or replenishment, so they can be sent directly.

The other reason is because the opponent’s Octopus-headed Undead Element is quite unique.

The opponent’s Undead Element is less about bones and more about all undead resting upon the opponent’s mud.

Bone-devouring Mud is the Undead Corps specially used by Gu Xi’s subordinates to dispose of waste.

For them, even mud can be consumed.

Sending them over naturally brings the intention to clear out the Mud Undead.

Maybe the Bone-devouring Mud can find a different evolution path from the Mud Undead.

However, Gu Xi didn’t expect that after these troops caught up, an undead approached Gu Xi.

”Master.”

”Who are you?”

Gu Xi inspected this undead before him; he was wearing a mismatched rusty armor, had two human heads hanging from his waist, rode a strange horse, and carried a blank battle banner on his back.

He didn’t look like a particularly powerful undead, especially the strange horse he rode, which had eyes and a mouth growing at its neck, and its head seemed ready to fall off. It’s unclear what he was thinking, or why he wouldn’t fix it.

As an undead, is it so hard to put bones in order?

Then this eccentric undead immediately said: ”Master, I am Dominic, leader level.”

Upon hearing this, Gu Xi immediately understood.

This is the undead leader reincarnated in Yalidu City, affected by Double Death after Amirka killed the undead leader under the Octopus-headed player’s command.

It seems he now has an additional leader-level presence among his subordinates.

Gu Xi clearly witnessed the earlier battle between Dominic and Amirka.

In terms of battle talent, Dominic was certainly stronger than Amirka, who only focused on leading the knight charge.

This is someone who can be deployed to hold his own.

Gu Xi thought about this while checking Dominic’s attributes, which further confirmed his suspicions.

[Dominic (Level 10, Summoned Creature, Undead Leader): Experience (0/25000), Attack 6, Defense 5, Life 125, Mana 170, Talent: Mixed Corps (Each different race of unit under his command increases the attributes of other units in the corps), Skills: Offensive Skill Level 3, Defense Skill Level 3, Leadership Skill Level 2, Shooting Skill Level 3, Leader (Can simultaneously command 4500 soldiers + 3 heroes + 14 boss-level units).]

Mixed Corps?

Looking at the situation, Gu Xi understood why Eldest Princess Anna chose this leader to bring Bone-devouring Mud and Bone Locust-type units.

This talent is quite interesting; the more chaotic the forces under his command, the more enhancements his subordinates receive.

As for the regular undead units, deploying them under Dominic doesn’t achieve much.

Basically, he is the complete opposite of Amirka.

Amirka only wants knights, while Dominic wants everything.

”Oh, it’s you.”

Knowing Dominic’s background and situation, Gu Xi’s demeanor visibly warmed.

”You’re just in time. Later, beneath the opponent’s city gate, help me command the upcoming undead troops. I have enough heroes under my command, but some heroes are lacking in ability and can only serve as tools.

They cannot hold their own.

Your arrival solves a big problem for me.”

Dominic nodded, agreeing to Gu Xi’s request.

Then Gu Xi started asking about the situation of the Octopus-headed Undead Mage’s forces.

However, Dietrich’s situation was different.

Dominic couldn’t answer Gu Xi’s questions; when Gu Xi asked, he opened his mouth but didn’t know what to say.

It felt as if part of his memory had been wiped.

Gu Xi was surprised by this, but also somewhat relieved.

He believed it was the game’s protection for players.

If a leader-level unit resurrected by another could remember things from their previous player.

Then whom does this leader belong to?

It’s known that leader levels can independently hold their own for players and even control a city.

If someone else took them away and secrets were spilled, what then?

Just like now, Gu Xi’s first thought upon acquiring Dominic was to inquire about the situation of the Octopus-headed Undead Mage to see if he could identify any weaknesses.

Gu Xi couldn’t guarantee he wouldn’t face the same treatment himself in the future.

So forget it; let it be forgotten.

This way, it’s fair for everyone.

Thus Gu Xi immediately changed the subject and inquired about Dominic’s opinions on Gu Xi’s undead troops.

Here, Dominic could speak at length.

He wasn’t keen to discuss the proper undead under Gu Xi, but he could elaborate a lot on undead like Bone Locusts and Bone-devouring Mud.

Despite only interacting with these undead for a short time, Dominic had quickly grasped their traits and provided several methods for utilizing them.

Whether or not these were just theoretical, to Gu Xi, it proved Dominic’s capabilities and direction.

This is a leader level who can be used right away.
