Moving On from the Tsundere, I Choose the Perfect Sweetheart

Chapter 43: Chapter 43: Shocking! Han Ning Brings Breakfast for Gu Yifan? Gu Yifan: I Refuse

”Er...”

Wang Zibo froze for a moment.

”Hey, Brother Fan, you’re here too!”

”Hehehe...”

he said with a sleazy grin on his face.

Gu Yifan glanced at him, frowning. ”What happened to you? Did you just roll around on the ground?”

”Hah...”

”Don’t even ask. I was riding my electric scooter to school, right? I was almost at the gate when I fucking wiped out!”

”Sigh... Today’s been rotten luck all around!”

Wang Zibo explained with a helpless look on his face.

”Oh.”

Gu Yifan didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. This stupid fucker’s luck was really something else!

”Alright, take off your jacket and let it air out. Otherwise, your clothes underneath will get soaked!”

he said, shaking his head.

As the two of them were whispering, the morning reading session officially began, led by the academic commissary.

The once-quiet campus instantly filled with the melodious sound of students reading aloud.

”Hey, Brother Fan, how come Princess Ning isn’t here today?”

Wang Zibo suddenly asked in a low voice.

”Hmm?”

Gu Yifan paused.

He turned to look at Han Ning’s desk not far away. It was empty. Han Ning really hadn’t come.

”No idea!”

”Maybe she’s not feeling well or something.”

Gu Yifan replied casually.

”Uh-huh, even you don’t know, Brother Fan?”

Wang Zibo said, a little surprised.

Gu Yifan: ”...”

”Wait, why would I know?”

”It’s not like I live with her. If you want to know why she isn’t here, you should ask her yourself!”

Gu Yifan said, rolling his eyes speechlessly.

Wang Zibo: ”Uh... (⊙o⊙)...”

After exchanging a few more words with Wang Zibo, Gu Yifan stopped paying attention to him.

...

Time passed quickly. In the blink of an eye, it was 7:50 AM, and the morning reading session was over.

There was a ten-minute break for students to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom. The first class of the morning would start promptly at 8:00 AM sharp!

”Hey, Brother Fan, wanna go to the tuck shop?”

”I was in a rush this morning and didn’t eat breakfast. I’m starving to death!”

As soon as the bell rang to end the reading session, Wang Zibo turned back and spoke to Gu Yifan, who was organizing Su Qinghe’s notes.

That’s right!

Gu Yifan had already used the Divine-level Learning Ability Card from the system’s newbie gift pack.

Only after using it did Gu Yifan discover that the damn thing actually had an expiration date!

Yes!

Once activated, the thing was only effective for one month. After that, it would become useless!

’In other words, if he couldn’t manage to go over and master all the high school subjects within this one month, he’d have to rely on his own brain to learn everything again!’

’If that happens, it’ll be a total disaster!’

’After all, forget high school knowledge—he had already returned all his college knowledge back to his professors!’

’So, he had no choice!’

Gu Yifan had to seize the time to review and relearn all of his high school material. Su Qinghe’s notes, which covered every subject from the first to the third year of high school, were undoubtedly the best place to start!

With these notes, and with Su Qinghe planning to tutor him every afternoon, Gu Yifan was absolutely confident that he could master all of high school’s content within the Divine-level Learning Ability Card’s one-month validity period!

”Brother Fan, Brother Fan...”

Just then, a series of calls snapped him out of his thoughts.

Gu Yifan couldn’t help but frown. He looked up to find that punk Wang Zibo waving a hand in front of his face.

”It’s so early in the morning, what are you barking about now!”

He slapped Wang Zibo’s hand away and said irritably.

Wang Zibo: ”...”

”Hey, Brother Fan, what were you so lost in thought about?”

”I called your name so many times, but you didn’t answer me!”

he said, looking aggrieved.

”I...”

Just as Gu Yifan was about to speak, a figure carrying the fresh scent of jasmine appeared before him.

He paused for a second, then looked up to find Han Ning standing there with her hands behind her back, watching him without a word.

Hmm?

’When did this chick get here?’

’What does she want with me?’

Gu Yifan was puzzled.

’To be honest, he really didn’t want to interact with Han Ning too much right now!’

’It was best for them to go their separate ways right now, to just be ordinary classmates!’

’Anyway, in three months, they’d all go off to college and part ways. With time and distance, they would have nothing to do with each other anymore.’

No other reason!

’The after-effects of being a simp had left him a little scared!’

But before he could speak, he heard Wang Zibo in front of him greet Han Ning with a smile, ”Hey, Princess Ning, are you looking for Brother Fan?”

”Mhm~”

Han Ning glanced at Wang Zibo and nodded.

”Um... Do you need me for something?”

Seeing that he couldn’t avoid it, Gu Yifan finally spoke.

His tone was calm, betraying no emotion.

”This is for you!”

Han Ning said, lightly biting her pink lip.

”Huh?”

Gu Yifan froze for a moment. He looked at the insulated lunch box in front of him and asked quizzically, ”What’s this?”

”My mom made some xiaolongbao this morning. She asked me to bring them for you to try.”

Han Ning said in a low voice, looking at Gu Yifan with anticipation.

The moment she said this, Wang Zibo’s eyes, who was standing to the side, instantly went wide as saucers!

’Holy crap!’

’Princess Ning actually brought Gu Yifan breakfast?’

’Even though she said her mom told her to bring it, the three of them had been friends for so many years that Wang Zibo could see through it at a glance. It was obvious Princess Ning had brought it for Gu Yifan herself!’

’She was just saying that on purpose because of her prideful tsundere personality!’

’Holy shit!’

’This... Holy hell, has the sun started rising in the west?!’

Wang Zibo looked out the window toward the west in disbelief, thinking to himself.

In fact, it wasn’t just him. The other students in the class were also extremely shocked!

Han Ning was, after all, the darling of the class. She drew everyone’s attention wherever she went.

So, quite a few people were watching her right now.

Er...

’Aunt Qing... suddenly had Han Ning bring me breakfast?’

Gu Yifan frowned, feeling baffled.

’After all, in all these years, this was the first time!’

So he found it extremely strange.

After thinking for a moment, he looked at Han Ning and said, ”Um... No, thank you. I’ve already eaten breakfast, and I’m still full. You should have it!”

”But please thank Aunt Qing for me!”

Hearing Gu Yifan’s rejection, Han Ning froze on the spot.

As for Wang Zibo and the crowd of onlookers, their eyes were now even wider than a cow’s, as if they’d just seen a ghost!

’Holy cow...’

’Princess Ning was rejected??’

’What is going on here???’

’Wait!’

’Wasn’t it always Gu Yifan who brought Han Ning all sorts of snacks every day, only to be treated with utter disdain? Why is it the other way around now?!’

’And!’

’Didn’t Han Ning reject Gu Yifan’s confession before? And didn’t Gu Yifan get so distraught over her rejection that he tried to jump off a building?!!’

’Could it be that Han Ning accepted Gu Yifan’s confession later on?!!!’

’What the hell!’

’Can someone please tell me what the hell is going on?!’
