Chapter 1000: Chapter 779: Future (3)

”Don’t go to Hell, don’t give up.”

”I promise, everything will change, we will have a future.”

”A bright future, belonging to us.”

Future—

.

”Come on, your opponent is me—”

Under the Sky Dome, amidst the helpless cries and wails, an angry roar erupted, the whinny of a steed.

The majestic Knight roared, riding into the slaughter array, slashing the iron light from his hand, tearing apart the surging flames, breaking through, standing in front of the slaughterers who were no longer human.

The storm and gale reversed, spreading.

”Run quickly, old man.” The Knight didn’t turn his head as he spoke to the limp old policeman beside him, ”Head north, there are people still resisting there.”

The old man clutched the child in his arms tightly and nodded vigorously.

”Thank you, thank you.”

He staggered to his feet, limping away to the distance.

Good.

Next, it’s just me and the enemies.

”Once more, steed!”

Beneath the fearsome Mask Armor, the young man grinned, tightened the reins, and the Dragon Horse excitedly whinnied, iron hooves striking the ground, sparks bursting out amidst ashes and rain.

The solitary Knight roared, advancing, facing countless gathering shadows.

But this time, a colossal Iron crow descended from the sky, vigorously flapping its wings, following behind him.

”You want to join too?”

Yuan Zhao paused for a moment, then laughed loudly, ”Don’t fall behind.”

The cavalry charged!

The fiery spear lit up the dark Hell!

.

”I am the Shark man!!!”

Ueno, glowing with steel light, roared, gripping two machine guns in both hands, fired forwards: ”Come, come on, you damn bastards—”

At the open road junction, relying only on one man’s firepower, the opponent was suppressed behind the ruins, unable to raise their heads.

”Hey, Ueno, don’t go overboard!”

Behind the battered SUV, Yamashita poked his head out in angry roar: ”What if you accidentally hurt someone... Over here, over here, the elderly and children first go, don’t bring anything, don’t carry anything, didn’t you fucking hear me?”

The crude Extreme Path kicked a guy who wasn’t listening, yelling angrily at the shivering people, urging them quicker, faster.

”Pass through here, move forward, someone will meet you, don’t look back... Hurry! Hurry!”

Wishing he could push each one behind the narrow barricades, behind, constantly illuminated by the glowing road, the surging crowd staggered and ran.

But in the midst of chaos, when Yamashita turned back, he saw a familiar face, the young head of Jin River Association, with a group of desperate escapees behind them.

”Hyou, why the hell are you here!”

Yamashita was furious, eyes wide: ”Did you escape from the Ochiai Family?!”

Hyou shook his head, his burned face twitching, blood tears flowing from cracked eyes.

”Yamashita, the Ochiai Family... is... gone...”

”What about Madam Ochiai? Mr. Akasaki!” Yamashita gritted his teeth, angrily punched him in the face: ”It’s just your sorry ass escaping! Coward!”

”I wanted to stay, Yamashita, Mrs. Yuriko ordered us to bring the women and children here.”

Hyou, with his only remaining arm, grabbed his hand, dared not fight back, bowed his head pleading: ”Please, Yamashita, let them pass first, tell me what to do.”

”Damn it, what good are you! Get in there too.” Yamashita shoved and kicked this guy, gestured to the panicked refugees: ”Faster, faster!”

In the distance, explosive booms erupted.

Further away, a firelight rose into the sky, illuminating Yamashita’s pale face.

That’s the direction of the Ochiai Family...

.

The noise outside the walls was getting closer.

In the empty hall, Ochiai Yuriko silently surveyed the desolate scene, smiled helplessly, the family taken over from her late husband, ultimately could not escape the fate of extinction.

Only at this moment, she could tiredly support herself against the nearby box, sitting on the ground, looking at the hanging photo beside her.

In the photo, the couple nestled together under the tree shade, smiling sweetly.

”I’m sorry, A-Zhong, I can’t hold on.” Yuriko sighed, clutching the wound on her abdomen: ”The mess you left, is too hard to clean up.”

No one responded.

The gunshots got closer, but then, it seemed like a mad dog’s howl erupted, roaring, crashing, and then the gunshots echoed again, soon silently suffocated under iron grip.

Only the tightly shut door was gradually pushed open.

A bloodied figure staggered in, knelt on the ground, saw Ochiai Yuriko, and seemed relieved, smiled calmly.

Yuriko was stunned, ”Akasaki, you didn’t leave?”

”Can’t move... anymore...”

The heavily wounded man propped himself up, slowly shook his head: ”I am a dog raised by Miss Yuriko, let me accompany you.”

”Talking nonsense, Akasaki.” Ochiai Yuriko shook her head, full of comfort: ”Today, you’re a true man.”

”Is that so?”

Akasaki paused for a moment, lowered his head laughing, couldn’t help but tear up.

Being raised by Miss Yuriko, being able to protect her for so long, being acknowledged as a true man by her.

It’s truly wonderful.

”So grown-up yet still a crybaby.” Ochiai Yuriko sighed, gestured: ”Can you come here? I no longer have strength.”
