Chapter 981: Chapter 772: Rebellion (Part 2)

In this sudden outburst of anger, the mountains roared, and the tachi in his hand flared with a burning hue, condensing into tangible rage that filled the blade, granting it impact akin to a heavy axe.

With a wrathful strike, plasma splattered everywhere.

When he snapped back to reality, he realized he had split his opponent in two, along with their weapons!

He lowered his head, staring incredulously at the fiery red blade in his hand, turning to look at the Raven perched unknowingly on his shoulder.

The Raven cawed excitedly, flapping its wings, urging him not to waste time and to plunge back into the slaughter.

Endless anger spilled from those scarlet eyes, along with the Source Substance.

The bird conveying the divine mandate returned to the earthly world, descending once more with miracles and power.

”Holy is He.”

In an unspeakable fervor, with the burning ’rage’ in his grip, he roared.

Roars echoed all around.

In this turbulent darkness, countless Lights of Source ascended, emerging from the Huaizhi Gang members!

Under the cover of the Crow Flock, immense power abruptly entered their bodies, constantly drawing anger, pain, and grudge, granting it a fierce outline.

Then, to create death anew!

”What is that...”

From afar, Alilexie raised his binoculars, staring in disbelief at the numerous Sublimators hiding within the Huaizhi Gang...

Impossible to count!

Seventy? Eighty? Or more?

Where did so many come from!

Wasn’t Huaizhi Gang a bunch of trash cobbled together with Huai Zhisu people, established not even a month ago? How could there be so many Sublimators!

And the growing number of Ravens...

At that moment, his heart constricted violently, cold sweat streamed down his forehead, frozen in place.

Felt the distant resonance.

As if in the deepest shadow, a colossal heart pulsed slowly, releasing a faint rumble. An immense amount of Source Substance spewed from it, spreading like blood in all directions.

Containing pain, despair, and fierceness...

In the Huaizhi Corporation’s office, Takuma gaped, lifting his head to see the suddenly opened birdcage on the table, where boundless darkness spewed forth, spreading out.

The Soloist’s divine operation descends miracles!

Or rather, disaster...

From the darkness, the Rotting Dream slowly rose, along with the Buried Sacred Place cracking open a slit. Exciting the massive flying bird, shaking off the mundane feathers, as iron light transformed from the wings, revealing a ferocious mechanical form.

The nest leading to Hell was opened.

In that instant, the Swarm descended!

When the sole restraint was undone, amidst swirling Crow Tide, shrill iron light erupted in the clatter of countless metal scratchings, sparks flying.

Mechanical giant ravens spread their wings, furious flame, grudge-borne blood hues, and painful darkness alternated...

Predation time arrived!

The surging darkness devoured all light, replaced by the bloodshot eyes of the Huaizhi Gang members, and ever more fierce aura.

The Yin Soul’s power descended here, even if granted to but a few...

In a moment, the advantage created by the Russian Federation Man with numerous firearms was obliterated by monster-like fierce power.

In the wild chase, Andrew turned sharply, realizing unknowingly he had sunk into the deepest darkness, couldn’t help but roar in anger.

”Coward, come out, face me!”

No longer caring about anything surrounding him, the giant bear-like Sublimator unleashed maximum firepower, dashing towards the dark dancing shadows.

Yet no matter how far he dashed, how many walls he smashed, how many shadows he tore, he couldn’t touch any enemy.

As if cast into the most desperate confinement room.

Eternally isolated.

Only the mockery of the Crow Flock hovering above, coldly watching the dwindling light on the can until the best tasting time arrives.

Cooled down, eat slowly.

On the furthest edge, the face of Alilexie turned pale amidst those fierce darkness, couldn’t help... stepping back, another step.

Cold sweat dripped from his forehead, panting heavily.

As the eyes from the darkness gazed at his direction, it felt like he was thrown into the deep sea, experiencing suffocating pressure making breathing impossible.

Stigma was wailing.

Even the Soul seemed about to be sucked away and devoured by the darkness. An indescribable terror gnawed at his mind, causing his heart to spasm.

It’s Hell Swarm...

Those terms originally only heard from Explorers, synonymous with terror and despair, appeared so abruptly before his eyes.

They accidentally wandered into the Swarm’s nest!

The binoculars fell from his hand, Alilexie braced against the wall, unable to suppress the urge to flee from there.

In the silence, only beside him, the flickering light extinguished, the face strikingly changed like an Evil Ghost.

Silently overlooking.

As if after a long trek, but showed no signs of fatigue, still spirited, except the jacket full of bullet holes and splits, stained to dull gray-red in rain and blood.

”Need help calling an ambulance?”

The man smiled, asking with concern: ”You look uncomfortable...”

Alilexie turned stiffly, hadn’t reacted before gasping in horror, quickly retreated, pulled a gun from his pocket, aimed at the face, wanting to pull the trigger.

But when looked into the abyss-like eyes, his finger on the trigger stiffened.

Lost strength.

”You... you...” he tried to speak, but the voice couldn’t emerge from his throat.

Behind the person, the darkness danced as if real.

A pair of scarlet eyes slowly appeared, resembling the fierce and hungry smiles of Evil Ghosts, scrutinizing his face, stripping away his last courage.

Ripping apart the wailing will completely!

”...God, forgive me.”

Alilexie murmured in a daze, suddenly turned the gun towards his chin, expending all his strength to pull the trigger.

Bang!

In that sudden darkness, those fierce eyes finally disappeared.

Alilexie peacefully closed his eyes.

Finally, it’s over...

.

It didn’t take long before this meticulously plotted attack against Huaizhi Gang ended tragically.

The streets were almost turned red by blood, amidst ruins, corpses littered. Only Ravens eagerly moved, absorbing the floating death aura in the air, endlessly flowing into the Buried Sacred Place.

In that seemingly eternal darkness, death gradually coalesced.

More death occurring on this land.

Huai Shi raised his head, observing the surrounding area, entire Tanbo Inner Circle... everywhere was blazing firelight, everything rudely drawn into this turmoil.

”How could it be...”

He shook himself awake, aware of the chaos elsewhere, in disbelief: ”This is the core of the Alliance, how could they reach here?”

”It’s simple, Ueno.”

Huai Shi raised his head, gazing at the distant conflagration, ”Two possibilities, either the Alliance is utterly fragile, already nearing its demise.”

He paused, spoke coldly, ”Or, someone betrayed.”

This wasn’t an external invasion, but internal turmoil!

Someone seized this opportunity to raise the flag of rebellion!

This was what Huai Shi found most absurd.

That traitorous Second Fifth wasn’t him?

.

.

Meanwhile, amidst heavy siege at the Union Headquarters, Tobio gazed at the rebels below the steps.

Ultimately, his disappointed gaze landed on the familiar face.

”Why things come to this, Chiba-kun.”

He asked softly, ”Was what I provided you not enough?”

Among the rebels’ guard, Chiba Ryouni sneered and shook his head, not answering.
