The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1531: Chapter 1531: One Thousand for a Ride to Deliver the Contract

The driver took a cigarette and started chatting with him: ”Are you from this mountain?”

”Yes, I’m from here.”

”What were you looking for on the mountain just now?”

The driver mistook his act of looking for a place to hide for searching for something. Popular Young Idol smiled and replied, ”I lost a lighter that my ex-girlfriend gave me. I thought if I found it, I’d try to win her back. But it looks like I can’t find it, so never mind.”

”That’s really a pity. Why don’t you look for it a bit more?”

”No need, what’s past is past. Are you waiting for someone here?”

The driver didn’t answer before, but this time he did: ”This is a ride-share. A customer asked me to bring him here.”

”Haven’t you already dropped him off? Why not head back?”

”This transaction is over, but he privately offered me more money to wait here and pick him up later to go down the mountain.”

”You must be making a lot on this business. You don’t even have to share with the ride app company.”

The driver took a drag of his cigarette and laughed: ”Not that much. I’m not a greedy person, I can’t charge too much.”

”You really are a good person. That motorcycle driver who brought me up here charged me several thousand.”

”Several thousand?”

”Yeah.”

”He must be really greedy.”

Popular Young Idol was about to say something when his phone suddenly rang: ”What? Okay, okay, I’ll find someone to deliver it over!”

After hanging up, he heard the driver ask: ”Are you looking for a delivery?”

”Yeah, there’s a contract I need to send out. I need to find someone to deliver it for me.”

”You’re on a mountain; it might be hard to find someone to deliver it for you.”

”Yes, it’s quite difficult. Before, when I looked for someone, I had to wait a long time for someone to take the job, and I had to pay extra.”

”How much extra?”

”Five thousand, and I had to transfer it privately. Only then were they willing to deliver it for me.”

”Five thousand!” The driver took a sharp breath: ”You’re really well-off. Why did you agree? It’s clear they’re taking advantage of you!”

”I had no other choice. I was in a hurry, and this time I’ll probably have to add another five thousand. Oh well, as long as it gets delivered.”

”Bro, what if I deliver it for you? I won’t ask for much.”

”How much do you want?”

”Depends on where you want it delivered.”

Popular Young Idol gave an address, the agent’s residence.

”It’s a bit far, and a cab would cost over two hundred. How about this, on top of fuel, give me a bit for my trouble, would one thousand work?”

Popular Young Idol was ready for the driver to ask for a lot, and was surprised it was only one thousand, so he agreed immediately, though a bit hesitant: ”Aren’t you waiting for your client?”

”It’s just a verbal agreement; he didn’t give me a deposit, nor did he order through the app. If I leave, he can’t find me. Besides, even if he comes out, taking him down might not fetch a thousand. Of course, I should deliver yours first because your matter is urgent. He can always make a new order in the app when he’s out.”

”What if he finds you from the previous order?”

”That’s fine too; I’ll just say I had an emergency. He can’t do anything about it, can he?”

”That’s true, you’ve thought it through quite well.”

”So, what do you think about our deal?”

”Alright, here’s the one thousand cash, and here’s the contract. Please deliver it to this address. I’m counting on you.”

”Don’t worry, I’ll definitely deliver it. I’ll head there right away.”

As he watched the car drive away and down the mountain, Popular Young Idol smiled and turned to hide behind a large tree.
