The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1382: Chapter 1382: Added Plain Water to the Soup

Little Taotie had bragged and couldn’t afford to lose face, so he ran all the way back to the kitchen, ready to keep an eye on things.

A plate of Yuxiang shredded pork was finished being stir-fried.

Little Taotie stopped the chubby waiter carrying the plate and used clean chopsticks to pick up a portion and place it on a small saucer.

Little Taotie was no longer that inexperienced little Zaizai.

Now, Little Taotie had tasted many delicacies and had become someone with great taste.

After tasting a bit, Little Taotie shook his little head, ”Not enough vinegar, add another spoonful.”

The Head Chef saw the chubby waiter bring back the Yuxiang shredded pork and was puzzled, ”Is there something wrong with the dish?”

”The little boss said to add another spoonful of vinegar.”

The Head Chef wanted to refuse but, seeing Little Taotie’s fierce baby-like glare, he reluctantly nodded, ”Alright, alright, it’s just adding a spoonful of vinegar, no big deal. I’ll add it.”

Little Taotie huffed, eyes fixed on the Head Chef’s actions, fearing he might add too much or too little.

Under the gaze of the little girl’s eyes, the Head Chef felt the pressure.

With the added vinegar, the aroma of the Yuxiang shredded pork wafted up, the sour taste tantalizing the appetite even more. The Head Chef, skeptical, used chopsticks to taste it. After one taste, his tight frown relaxed, and his expression became more enjoyable.

Just when the Head Chef wanted to take a second bite, Little Taotie panicked and urged the chubby waiter to take it away.

The chubby waiter didn’t let the Head Chef succeed, and ran off with the plate.

The Head Chef was left with nothing but air, feeling a bit disappointed.

Like an unfeeling boss, Little Taotie hummed, ”Hurry up and work! No daydreaming on the job, there are many customers outside waiting!”

The Head Chef wanted to say something but ended up saying nothing, focusing on stir-frying another plate of Yuxiang shredded pork. This time, without Little Taotie’s guidance, he automatically added an extra spoonful of vinegar.

Customers outside took a bite of the Yuxiang shredded pork and were hooked, their chopsticks constantly in use, ”Fragrant! Appetizing! Really good, really goes well with rice!”

Seeing that they ordered a lot of dishes, Little Taotie waved a hand, ”Today’s soup is on the house!”

So the waiters began serving soup, giving each customer a full bowl of chicken soup.

The Chef, waiting for customers to be dissatisfied and bang the table, watched in silence, wondering, ”Why aren’t they making a fuss? How did they drink it all down without a frown? Isn’t it too salty?”

When the chubby waiter returned the big soup ladle to the kitchen, he saw the Chef sneaking around and asked curiously, ”Chef Wu, what are you looking at?”

Chef Wu’s eyes landed on the big soup ladle in his hand, and he casually replied, ”Just checking if the customers outside are satisfied. Did you finish serving the soup?”

”Finished.” The chubby waiter laughed, ”We were worried they wouldn’t be satisfied because there wasn’t much soup, and there are over a hundred people outside. We were afraid it wouldn’t be enough. But fortunately, the little boss was there. The little boss tasted the soup, said it was too salty, and told us to add water. After adding water, the taste was just right, and there was enough for everyone.”

”Doesn’t adding water make it bland? Charging so much money... isn’t that fraud?”

”Chef Wu, you can’t say that! The little boss said the soup is free, so no charge. It’s just to quench the customers’ thirst, like giving them plain water. Adding a bit of water to make it lighter isn’t a problem, and it’s definitely not fraud.”

”Waiter!” A loud voice from the customers outside rang out.

”Coming! Right away!” The chubby waiter shoved the big soup ladle into Chef Wu’s hands, ”You return this to the kitchen for me, I’ve got to get busy!”

Chef Wu was furious, realizing his secret salt addition was for nothing!

He looked up at the bustling scene outside, fuming, thinking: If this keeps up, won’t this restaurant thrive? No, for my ninety thousand, I absolutely can’t let this restaurant come back to life!
