The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 1368: Chapter 1368: The Prop Master Is Not a Pauper

The Assistant Director hesitated to speak.

This program didn’t have much support to begin with, and it might lose money.

Those investors are already wealthy; losing money doesn’t matter to them. Losing this bit wouldn’t even cover their expenses on women.

Buying cars and designer bags for ”Little Sweetheart” also cost money, and investing in a small show to make ”Little Sweetheart” happy might even make them some profit, so to them, it’s a worthwhile gamble. The investors don’t really care whether the show makes or loses money; they’re just playing around.

But it’s a different story if the director sells his own house to invest.

If the show goes well, then great; but if not, all the money would be lost!

Seeing the Assistant Director looking hesitant like an old woman, the director snapped: ”Don’t try to talk me out of it, my mind is made up!”

The Assistant Director felt bitter, muttering, ”We’ve been brothers for so many years. I’ll save you some face and invest two million, but that’s all my savings.”

The director chuckled, ”Though it’s not much, it’s better than nothing. Alright, I’ll count you in. If our show becomes a hit, you’ll earn something too.”

The Assistant Director was ready to see his two million go down the drain, but he smiled and said nothing.

”Let’s not waste any time. I’m going to lay it all out with Boss Li now. If he wants to withdraw his investment, let him; I won’t grovel to anyone!” With that, the director left, leaving his team in confusion and frustration.

The Prop Master asked softly, ”What kind of house does the director live in? Can he really sell it? Boss Li invested thirty million.”

The Assistant Director replied, ”His family can be considered scholarly and they have some assets. When he got married, his family bought him a small villa. Although it’s a suburban villa, in Magic City, it should be worth between twenty to thirty million.”

”A house in Magic City? That’s quite valuable. But what if the show loses money...”

”Tsk tsk tsk! We haven’t even started shooting the show yet, and you’re already thinking about losing!”

”The boss investing his own money shows he has great confidence in this program. We have to trust him!”

”Actually, I think self-investment is only good. Without those investors holding us back, everything is up to the director. Maybe we can shoot something good.”

”I’m thinking, should I invest a little too? The boss sold his house to invest, and the Assistant Director invested two million. Should I invest some as well?”

Everyone looked at the Prop Master, their eyes clearly questioning: Do you have money?

You can’t blame them for doubting; the Prop Master usually dressed in ragged clothes because working with props involves paint or getting clothes dirty, always looking a bit shabby. He never ordered takeout and always brought his own food, which wasn’t anything fancy, just a large thermos cup with a bowl of vegetable noodles inside, left to soak all morning, looking utterly unappetizing.

Dressed poorly and eating bland food, he certainly looked like a poor guy.

The Prop Master felt stifled under everyone’s questioning gaze.

What he was wearing was customized, and incredibly comfortable!

Looking dirty was all part of the job, being a Prop Master wasn’t easy, it always got messy!

Eating vegetable noodles was because the doctor advised it since his stomach wasn’t well, and it’s what the doctor recommended!

He was used to it, and eating vegetable noodles was indeed good for his stomach. If he ate anything too greasy, he’d immediately feel unwell and have diarrhea; it couldn’t be helped!

He wasn’t poor at all; he was actually quite well-off!

These guys were looking down on him just because of appearances!
