The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Capítulo 1378: Chapter 1378: Awful Refrigerator Conditions

Little Taotie encouragingly seemed like a child playing house, but in reality, she was indeed a little child. The chef with ulterior motives looked at her with disdain, thinking secretly: What tricks can a little kid pull? Just wait for the restaurant to close down!

Little Taotie put her little hands behind her back, adopting the demeanor of a little leader inspecting the place. She made a round in the restaurant’s main hall, with the next destination being the kitchen. Before entering the kitchen, she paused as if waiting for something, but after a while, no one stopped her from going in, causing her little brows to furrow.

The boss wanted to follow in but was stopped by the videographer: “According to the show rules, you need to avoid being on camera.”

Having explained everything clearly, the restaurant owner could no longer appear on camera, as instructed by the director beforehand.

The boss seemed to understand the rules and didn’t insist but handed the notebook with the suppliers’ phone numbers and information over to the videographer, “If there’s anything, call me. My home is nearby.”

The videographer took the notebook and joked, “Living nearby? Then boss, you must be a land redeveloper’s beneficiary and about to get rich, huh!”

The boss smiled bitterly: “Without redevelopment, the siblings got along quite well. Now, with redevelopment, the relationship between siblings is completely broken.”

Sometimes people can go through hard times together without money, but in good times as nouveau riche, everything falls apart with everyone showing their ugly sides for personal gain.

Seeing the boss looking somber, the videographer didn’t know how to comfort him. Fortunately, the boss didn’t need his comfort and waved: “I’m leaving now.”

The videographer nodded and hurried into the kitchen to continue filming Little Taotie.

Little Taotie circled the kitchen, and her little brows furrowed tighter and tighter.

The chubby waiter, nervously following Little Taotie, asked, “Zaizai, what’s wrong?”

Little Taotie let out a breath, her face serious: “Please call me Little Boss.”

To be honest, with that cold little face, she had an air of authority.

The chubby waiter quickly corrected himself: “Okay, Little Boss, is there a problem with the kitchen? Your expression doesn’t look good.”

A problem? Little Taotie’s voice was both childish and fierce: “Big problems, all problems!”

Little Taotie acted like the strictest industrial and commercial inspection officer, first opening the refrigerator and pointing at the food inside, “Why are they put directly in the fridge? No boxes, bowls, not even plastic bags?”

When the refrigerator opened, an unpleasant smell of mixed foods assaulted the senses, making one feel uncomfortable.

Inside the fridge, heads of cabbage were simply piled up, eggs stacked next to them, above were several pieces of pork belly and spareribs, and on top were steaks and seafood…

Little Taotie pointed at the grimy chicken droppings on the eggshells, “I’m asking, are these eggs suitable to be eaten raw?”

In fact, seeing those bird droppings and the bare eggshells without any date stamps, it was pretty clear they weren’t.

The chubby waiter hadn’t expected the kitchen fridge to be like this and didn’t dare to say anything.

The Head Chef couldn’t avoid responsibility and had to step forward to respond: “These are free-range eggs; they’re very fresh, large, with bright yolk color.”

Little Taotie, with a serious little face, sternly asked, “What is Salmonella, and what are its dangers? You’re an adult, you should know it well, right?”

The Head Chef fell silent.

A chef nearby came to the Head Chef’s rescue: “They’ll be cleaned thoroughly once taken out, and they’re all cooked at high temperatures, so there won’t be any problems. You can rest assured of that.”

Little Taotie angrily responded: “I am not reassured! Look here, these are cold drinks. You’ll clean them, high-temperature sterilize them before giving them to customers? What if the drinks are contaminated with chicken droppings and Salmonella? Even if the raw meat is high-temperature sterilized, what about the steaks? Many people eat them medium-rare; are you sure there won’t be any problems?”

The chef attempted to argue: “The refrigerator is so cold, even if there were bacteria, it’s frozen dead. What’s the issue? Kids shouldn’t pretend to understand and start pointing fingers here! The restaurant has been operating for so many years and has never had a food poisoning incident!”
