The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 843: Chapter 843: Suspected Paparazzi

Little Taotie ate his matcha cake happily and received a call from Xiao Lingzhi, ”Hey, Xiao Lingzhi?”

”Little Taotie, you won’t believe it, the movie’s not being made anymore!”

”Which movie?”

”The smelly one.”

Suddenly, Little Taotie felt the cake didn’t taste as good, put down his spoon, wiped his little mouth, puzzled, ”Is it the movie where Sister Rousi is the leading actress?”

”Yes, yes, the one we went to audition for.”

”Why is it not being made?”

Xiao Lingzhi mysteriously said, ”The internet says there’s a shocking secret, claims it will be revealed tonight, about the reason for the movie’s failure.”

After hanging up the phone, Little Taotie lost his appetite for the cake too, and looked at Chen Zi beside him, whose brow was tightly furrowed, puzzled, ”Brother Chen Zi, are you worried about something?”

Chen Zi thought about the person who bumped into him and ran away quickly, furrowing his brow even further.

It was a paparazzi.

Was he following me, or the director?

”Brother Chen Zi!” Little Taotie called out again.

”Huh?” Chen Zi snapped back to reality.

Little Taotie’s small, soft hand was on Chen Zi’s forehead, tilting his head, ”You’re not sick, are you? What’s wrong?”

Chen Zi felt warm by the little girl, chuckled lightly, ”It’s nothing, just encountered a strange person, maybe a journalist.”

”Following you?” Little Taotie blinked, a bit worried.

Chen Zi thought about the direction that person hurried off to, should be the direction the director left, ”Probably tracking the director who brings you steak every day.”

Little Taotie thought about the call he received earlier, feeling that the two things were somewhat connected, ”Xiao Lingzhi called me just now, said the director’s movie isn’t being made, and mentioned the specific reason, a shocking secret, will be revealed online tonight.”

Upon hearing this, Chen Zi’s brow furrowed even more.

”Brother Chen Zi, should we call the director and ask if he’s okay?”

”That sounds good.”

Chen Zi dialed the director’s number but was hung up on.

It would be one thing if it was unanswered, but now it’s directly hung up, what does this mean?

”Shall we go to the building where we auditioned and find him?” Little Taotie looked out the window, sighed softly, ”It looks like it’s going to rain.”

Chen Zi looked out the window, dark clouds gathered, always feeling a sense of foreboding.

Jin Yin drove, and the car stopped under the building.

As they were about to get on the elevator, Little Taotie recognized someone familiar and called out, ”Scriptwriter sister!”

The scriptwriter’s hair was a bit messy, glasses were gone too, squinted her eyes for a while, and rushed over, ”Zaizai, why are you here?”

”Is the director uncle here?” Little Taotie asked.

The scriptwriter shook her head, ”Can’t reach him, I’m looking for him too.”

Chen Zi asked, ”Where are your glasses?”

The scriptwriter raised her eyes, squinting, finally recognized, wasn’t this the person she wanted to pursue?

Sadly, been too busy lately, haven’t had time to pursue him.

”Just now someone bumped into me, and my glasses fell and broke.” She pulled out broken glasses from her bag.

”Don’t you have contact lenses?” Chen Zi asked.

The scriptwriter sighed, ”My prescription is too high, plus having astigmatism, not easy to fit contact lenses.”

Chen Zi: ”Where are you going now?”

”Originally planned to check the director’s residence, but now have to go to the glasses store to fix my glasses first.”

”Give me the address, I’ll go check the director’s residence.”

The scriptwriter nodded and took out pen and paper, writing the address with difficulty.

Little Taotie watched the scriptwriter sister walk away, worried, ”Will she bump into a car because she can’t see?”

Chen Zi chuckled, ”She’s nearsighted, not blind.”

Little Taotie touched his eyes, ”I need to take good care of my eyes, can’t become nearsighted. Hua Jinyan keeps staring at the computer recently, surely will become nearsighted, I should tell the scriptwriter sister’s story to him, make him take it to heart.”

Chen Zi chuckled lightly, ”He drinks a glass of blueberry juice every day, haven’t you noticed?”

Little Taotie was surprised, ”He’s eating good stuff behind my back?”
