The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 807: Chapter 807: PR Assistant No. 2 Starts Work

After filming all night, Little Taotie was already exhausted and fell asleep as soon as she got in the car.

Cheng Guodong covered her with a blanket, feeling a bit distressed, and sighed silently.

Gu Bei glanced at them secretly, not daring to utter a word.

Cheng Guodong shot him a menacing glare, making Gu Bei quickly shrink back his neck, too scared to peek anymore.

Cheng Guodong reached out and grabbed Gu Bei’s shoulder, pulling him out of the car.

Once outside, Cheng Guodong spoke coldly, ”You should have stopped her, or called me in advance!”

Gu Bei was equally helpless and quietly defended himself, ”You told me to follow Little Taotie’s instructions.”

”Can’t you tell what’s more important!” Cheng Guodong rubbed his temples.

He also hadn’t slept all night, and his eyes were bloodshot and fierce when glaring at people.

Gu Bei shrank his neck, not daring to look up.

Seeing him cowering like a quail, Cheng Guodong said coldly, ”Take some time off.”

...

PR Officer No. 2 took office, introduced himself in front of Little Taotie, ”Hello, Gu Bei is on sick leave. I’ll be replacing him as your assistant for the time being. My name is Chen Zi.”

Little Taotie frowned with concern, ”What illness does he have?”

Chen Zi pointed to his head, ”Not quite right in the head.”

Little Taotie widened her eyes in surprise, ”Not right in the head?”

When filming ”Time-Space Monster Management Bureau,” there was an episode where the male protagonist time-traveled. He was a surgeon who traveled back to ancient times to perform surgery there...

There was a scene where they performed brain surgery!

Remembering that scene, Little Taotie was even more worried and asked in a small voice, ”Did they shave his head and operate on his skull?”

Chen Zi’s smile froze for a moment but soon returned to a professional smile, ”He’s seeing a psychologist, no surgery needed, don’t worry.”

”Psychologist?” Little Taotie was even more puzzled.

Chen Zi replied, ”Maybe he’s just overworked and stressed.”

”Overworked?” Little Taotie pointed to herself, ”Is it so busy around me?”

Chen Zi nodded, ”You work every day and there are all-night shoots. He might have been too tired.”

”Because of me...” Little Taotie lowered her eyes in guilt, ”I won’t do all-night shoots anymore.”

Chen Zi’s lips gently curled up as he glanced in Cheng Guodong’s direction.

Cheng Guodong gave him a thumbs up.

Chen Zi felt assured: a bonus this month is secured!

...

Gu Bei kept sneezing, and PR Officer No. 1 was extremely annoyed, distancing himself and covering his mouth and nose, ”Don’t infect me!”

Gu Bei retorted irritably, ”I’m not sick!”

”If you’re not sick, why are you sneezing, and several times in a row?”

Gu Bei was furious, ”Someone must be bad-mouthing me behind my back! It’s definitely that No. 2 guy!”

”No. 2 finally has his day. To secure his chance to work alongside Little Taotie, it’s normal to say some bad things about you to elevate himself.”

”Do you also think he’s better than me?” Gu Bei looked at him pitifully.

PR Officer No. 1 sorted through some documents, calmly, ”I don’t endorse office romance, I’m an old-fashioned person, do you get what I mean?”

Gu Bei was stumped.

PR Officer No. 1 gave him a deep look, ”You’re in a relationship with the female bodyguard, both working alongside Little Taotie; it’s hard not to get distracted or emotional.”

Gu Bei remained silent for a long time, then asked, ”Can I be transferred back?”

PR Officer No. 1 gave him a sidelong glance and sighed, ”Difficult! That No. 2 guy seized the opportunity and won’t let go easily, won’t let you come back. After all, working alongside Little Taotie pays more, and his mortgage isn’t paid off, so he needs the money.”
