The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 748: Chapter 748: At Least I’ve Tried

The program director laughed heartily, ”Scared, of course I’m scared. Didn’t you see me forcing the prop master to change the props?”

The girl was puzzled, ”If you’re clearly scared, why would you still work on such a theme...”

The director shrugged, ”Every case, I rewrite until it passes the review. I can only do what I can do, and if I still get warned that it’s too sensitive, then I can only delete this case. After all, even if I don’t delete it, the investors would force me to.”

The director touched his chest, ”As a person, I only strive to have a clear conscience.”

”I made this show, and if it really gets banned or cut, I’ll accept my fate, at least I’ve tried and filmed it.”

”Because of fear of being banned, fear of being cut, if I don’t do it, I might regret it for a lifetime.”

Everyone looked at him with admiration.

The director felt a bit embarrassed and waved his hand, ”Alright, let’s get back on track, continue filming.”

Ji Guang nodded, knowing that all this content they were discussing would be cut by the director in post-production.

The director would change the case, and the effect it would portray would certainly not explicitly show the meanings he talked about today, at most vaguely expressing it. Those who could understand would naturally get it, those who couldn’t just weren’t in tune with the soul of it.

Such blurry and vague content, it seems, wouldn’t be deleted, as long as one grasps a certain degree, one can also avoid the risk of being banned.

Ji Guang saw the deep look in the director’s eyes and knew he was a person with plans; without them, he wouldn’t be harboring great ambitions.

...

The case wasn’t finished, but it was getting late, and the director told them to go and rest.

”It’s Sunday tomorrow, take a break for a day. Making new props will also take some time.”

The director gave them a day off.

In fact, it was a clause that Gu Bei had added in their contract early on; no matter the progress of the shooting, once it’s Sunday, Little Taotie gets a day off.

Thinking that Little Taotie had the least talent for solving cases among the guests, and it wouldn’t make much difference without her, the director generously gave everyone a day off.

Little Taotie got into the van to head back, a girl knocked on the car window, and Little Taotie rolled down the window to look out.

The girl handed her a box of fruit candy, ”See you tomorrow.”

Little Taotie nodded, ”When I come back, I’ll bring something tasty for Little Cutie Sister!”

The girl waved her hand until the van drove away.

The Rock Band members were gathered together smoking, and when they saw the girl return alone, they asked, ”Where’s Little Taotie?”

”She probably has other engagements, she’ll be back tomorrow morning,” the girl replied.

The Rock Band members envied, ”More appearances mean more popularity, unlike us, we don’t have any engagements recently.”

The girl looked at their red, purple, blue, and yellow hair and pursed her lips, kindly adding a few more words, ”If you’ve been playing rock music for so many years and haven’t made a name for yourselves, have you thought about changing your style?”

”Rock is our life!”

”Not changing is also fine, or, try something else. Nowadays, many idol group members turn to acting, right? Film a few idol dramas, build up some popularity, and your music might sell better, too.”

”We wish we could, but we don’t have the talent for acting. Participating in a variety show is also a trial for us; if it doesn’t work out, we might have to... disband.”

”Who is Master Chef skyrocketed in popularity,” Ji Guang’s voice rang out.

The Rock Band members looked over at him, confused.

Ji Guang said, ”My agent was originally reluctant to accept the ’Who is Master Chef’ program, thinking it had no future, that it wouldn’t catch on.”

The girl said, ”But you still took it on, and luck was on your side, it became a hit!”

”There was one reason that made my agent change their mind and ultimately accept the program.”

”What reason?”

”Little Taotie was on the show.”

”What does Little Taotie have to do with it?”

”In the industry, Little God of Wealth’s name is well-established. As long as she’s on the program, even if the initial forecasts aren’t optimistic, it will explode in popularity in the end!”

Hearing this, the Rock Band members’ eyes lit up, ”So will this detective show also become as popular as ’Who is Master Chef’?”

If it’s not banned,” Ji Guang nodded, ”it should.”
