The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 716: Chapter 716: Have a Girlfriend, Have Muscles

Cheng Guodong glared at the assistant with an unfriendly look in his eyes, ”Stop buttering me up and tell the truth!”

The assistant: ”...” Can I even say it?

As if reading the assistant’s gaze, Cheng Guodong snorted, ”Today, whatever you say, I won’t get angry.”

”Won’t deduct my salary?” the assistant asked timidly.

Cheng Guodong glanced at him sidelong, ”Won’t deduct.”

”Won’t fire me?” the assistant asked, quivering.

Cheng Guodong withdrew his gaze, shaking his head, ”Won’t fire.”

The assistant let out a sigh of relief, ”Then I’ll speak boldly.”

Cheng Guodong with eyes half-lowered: ”Speak.”

”Boss, of all people you could compare yourself with, those two sworn brothers of yours, one grew up eating steak, has a good physical foundation, works out as if it were breathing, feels uncomfortable if he doesn’t work out for a day, and now that he has a girlfriend, he’s even more focused on fitness.”

Cheng Guodong pursed his lips, ”I can’t compare with Second Son.”

”Nor can you compare with your third brother, Top Gu. Didn’t you have me dig up his background? He comes from a family of martial artists, he’s got real skills!”

Cheng Guodong frowned, ”Can’t compare with Third Son, either.”

Just as the assistant breathed a sigh of relief, he heard Cheng Guodong speak, ”Strip.”

The assistant doubted his own ears and looked at Cheng Guodong with confusion and doubt.

”I told you to take off your shirt.”

The assistant clutched his neckline, a look of terror on his face, and stepped backward, ”Boss, I may sell my talents, but not my body!”

Cheng Guodong: ”...”

The assistant’s mind began racing, thinking: Boss has a house, a car, money, a company, everything, but no girlfriend! That’s just not scientific! Unless... he doesn’t like women at all!

Considering that he was now being asked to strip, the assistant panicked even more.

”I... I’m straight!” the assistant bellowed and turned to run.

Cheng Guodong caught the back of his collar in a single motion, ”What are you thinking about! I just want to take a look at your physique, that’s all!”

Look at the physique!!!

The assistant panicked further, clenching his buttons, ”Why on earth look at my physique...”

Cheng Guodong felt it was necessary to find a new assistant!

”Not stripping?” Cheng Guodong’s voice became threatening, ”Deduct salary! Fire you!”

The assistant protested resentfully, ”You said you wouldn’t deduct! You said you wouldn’t fire!”

Cheng Guodong scoffed, ”I never said there would be any punishment for going back on my word. Why can’t I change my mind?”

The assistant: ”!!!”

Mortgage! Car loan! Credit card debt!

Visions of countless debts floated through the assistant’s mind.

Ultimately, he chose to endure the humiliation and unbuttoned his shirt.

Cheng Guodong settled into the boss’s chair, crossing his legs in a relaxed posture, ”Turn around, put your hands down, we’re all men here, what’s there to hide!”

The assistant: ”...It’s too embarrassing.”

Cheng Guodong clicked his tongue in wonder, ”You don’t seem to work out, yet you have a body full of muscles, even abs!”

The assistant spoke in a muffled voice, ”I have a girlfriend.”

Cheng Guodong looked at him askance, ”What does having a girlfriend have to do with having muscles?”

The assistant wiped his face with his hand, struggling to hold back tears, ”When I get home, my girlfriend cooks for me, doesn’t make me wash the dishes after we eat, she’s really good to me.” NovelFire

Cheng Guodong nodded, ”She cooks for you, so you should wash the dishes, indeed she’s good to you.”

The assistant sighed, ”She doesn’t ask for much from me, but she insists that I have abs, I can’t slack off.”

Cheng Guodong: ”...Your girlfriend is quite strict.”

The assistant with a pained expression, ”My girlfriend is so good to me, other than fulfilling her small wish, what else can I do? So after work, no matter how tired or late, I have to work out for an hour before sleeping, no slacking off!”

Cheng Guodong fell into thought, ”If I find a girlfriend, maybe I could get abs too?”
