The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 704: Chapter 704: If You Need Something, Burn Paper

The female chef dozed off in a daze, lying on the stove top. She smelled something burning and thought she was cooking and had burnt the food.

She suddenly awoke, leaping up, her gaze fixed on the stove top.

Bewildered for a few seconds, she realized the stove was empty; there was no cooking taking place at all.

The scent of burning lingered at her nose.

She stiffly turned around and her eyes landed on the little one crouching in front of a basin behind her.

Little Taotie lifted her head, her fair and tender face smeared with a dark fingerprint, as she bared her teeth in a grin, revealing a row of tiny white teeth.

The female chef felt somewhat suffocated, staring blankly at the yellow paper in the basin that wasn’t completely burned yet, and hoarsely asked, ”What... are you doing?”

Little Taotie smiled with pure innocence, her dimples deep, ”I’m burning paper!”

”Why are you burning paper?”

”Didn’t you say to burn paper if there’s a problem?”

The chef leaned on the kitchen counter, the sense of suffocation intensifying, ”I was joking!”

Little Taotie blinked, looking innocent, ”I thought you were serious.”

Teacher Li and Ji Guang exchanged glances from behind the door, each with a twitch at the corner of their mouth.

Teacher Li: ”I wouldn’t even dare say something like this in my comedy routine.”

Ji Guang: ”Maybe you should try it as an act, the audience is sure to enjoy it.”

Teacher Li looked up at a camera in the kitchen, ”Was all that just recorded?”

Ji Guang glanced up following his line of sight and nodded, ”The director should have seen it by now, I guess.”

...

The director sat in the control room, cracking sunflower seeds and watching the video. Seeing Little Taotie actually burning paper, he nearly choked on a seed with laughter, rolling back and forth, ”Quick, quick, quick, cut this clip out separately, I want to put it in the preview clip!”

The moment the editor had cut the clip, the director had it posted online.

Because Little Taotie’s Weibo photo quietly gave the food program a free advertisement, following the clues in the photo, fans found the program team and confirmed Little Taotie’s participation.

Little Taotie’s fans started clocking in on the official Weibo page of the program team, their earnestness quite touching, all in hopes that they would reveal some behind-the-scenes footage of Little Taotie’s shoot.

As the preview was released in segments, one video’s view count grew exponentially, blazing hot!

In the video, Little Taotie happily munches away, and the pile of king prawns dwindles one by one.

The female chef’s skillful and stylish tossing of the pan bewitches thousands of girls.

[Miss is so cool~]

[That posture is too stylish!]

[I want to marry Miss, to be fed delicious food every day!]

[So envious of Zaizai, getting to eat Miss’s ’three delish ways with lobster’!]

Everything in the video was rather normal at first, but then the style started to change...

The female chef’s pan-tossing became more mechanical, her facial expression ever more numb, while Little Taotie’s eating gestures remained constant, as if she were a never-satisfied Fierce Beast, living up to her stage name, Little Taotie, in every sense.

Finally, the chef discarded the pan and ladle in her hand and flopped onto the kitchen counter, her whole body listless as if she were a limp shrimp.

[Sister’s worn out!]

[She’s been cooking non-stop, anyone would be exhausted!]

[Here comes Little Taotie! What’s she doing?]

[She must be here to supervise, right?]

[Suddenly, Little Taotie has turned into a cruel contractor, wielding a tiny whip.]

[I’ve got the imagery now, thanks to the comment above, you’re trying to kill me with laughter!]

”Sis, what’s wrong?”

”I’ve logged off.”

”Logged off? What do you mean?”

”Zaizai, I’ve passed out.”

”If you’ve passed out now, how can you still talk to me?”

The chef grew even more despondent: ”I’m already dead, burn paper if you need anything.”

[You can really feel the chef’s powerlessness and exhaustion!]

[Same here, Zaizai’s never full, and the chef’s just collapsed.]

[Guys, look, what’s Zaizai going to do?]

[Oh my God! She’s... actually burning paper?]

In the video, Little Taotie, tiny as she is, carries over a big basin, and pulls out a stack of yellow paper from her pocket.

She looks around, sees a box of matches on the stove top.

Little Taotie struggles to strike a match, the flame drops into the basin, the yellow paper is licked by the tongues of fire, burning...
