The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 338: Chapter 338: Should the Sister Be Punished? Chapter 338: Chapter 338: Should the Sister Be Punished? After some questioning, Little Taotie told them everything as it was.

She naturally trusted the police, so she wasn’t on her guard. Besides, the middle-aged female police officer was very experienced, so she had nearly finished asking all her questions.

The middle-aged female police officer found Qin Xin and Xie Jiacheng and clarified the kidnapping incident. The pregnant woman now had another crime added to her list.

As the middle-aged female police officer was seeing them out, her phone suddenly rang. A young female officer’s panicky voice came through, “She’s in labor! She’s in labor!”

“In labor? Don’t panic, I’ll be right there!”

After hanging up, the middle-aged female police officer informed them about the situation.

Xie Jiacheng, as the father of the child, rushed over.

Cheng Guodong held his sister while Qin Xin held onto Hua Jinyan. They did not plan to go, but the nanny, who had some experience with childbirth, accompanied Xie Jiacheng.

Back at the villa, Little Taotie yawned and was about to go upstairs to continue sleeping, but Cheng Guodong grabbed the back of her collar.

Little Taotie tilted her head and softly called out, “Big brother~”

Cheng Guodong: “…”

He coughed dryly, straightened his stance, “Acting cute won’t work! Do you realize what you did wrong?”

Innocence filled Little Taotie’s big eyes. She looked utterly confused but quickly nodded and responded, “I know my mistake!”

Cheng Guodong: “…Are you sure?”

Little Taotie nodded vigorously, “I know my mistake!”

Cheng Guodong, skeptical, “What mistake did you make?”

Little Taotie tilted her head to think, then, recalling the words of the female police officer, said, “I shouldn’t have sneaked out. There are many dangers outside, many kidnappers.”

“…It seems you really do understand your mistake,” Cheng Guodong turned to Qin Xin.

Qin Xin, smiling brightly, “Are you tired, sister?”

Little Taotie’s eyes were red, truly exhausted, “So tired!”

Qin Xin rubbed her head, “Go to sleep then, we’ll talk tomorrow.”

Little Taotie ran upstairs.

Cheng Guodong: “Just like that? If we don’t properly discipline the mischievous kid, who knows what she’ll do in the future!”

Qin Xin spread his hands, “If you really are willing to punish her, I won’t object.”

Cheng Guodong hesitated, “Between the two of us, one has to play the good cop and the other the bad cop, it’s a good system. I’m the big brother after all, can’t look too fierce or serious…”

Qin Xin looked at him sideways, “So I should be the villain?”

Cheng Guodong laughed awkwardly.

Qin Xin snorted, “You’re really shameless! Stop dreaming!”

Cheng Guodong: “…”

Qin Xin: “If you dare to punish her, I will take her side.”

He turned and went back to his room, slamming the door hard.

At the sound of the door slamming, Cheng Guodong’s heart sank, mumbling, “I’m also reluctant to punish her, but isn’t it for her own good? How has it become my fault, slamming the door on whom!”

Hua Jinyan watched the drama unfold, yawned, and turned to head to his room, but was stopped by Cheng Guodong.

“Do you think I should punish her?”

Hua Jinyan shook his head.

“Why not? She snuck out in the middle of the night, nearly got into trouble, shouldn’t she be punished?”

Hua Jinyan calmly asked, “Did she admit her mistake?”

Cheng Guodong nodded.

Hua Jinyan continued, “Was she correct in what she admitted?”

Cheng Guodong nodded.

Hua Jinyan spread his hands, “If she’s already admitted her mistake and the direction of her admission is right, why continue to dwell on it? Are you planning to beat her or starve her?”

“Can’t beat! Her skin is delicate, we can’t hit her!” Cheng Guodong quickly waved his hand, “And we can’t starve her either. She’s been hungry too many times in her childhood, can’t put her through that again!”

Hua Jinyan shrugged, “Then what do you propose as punishment?”
