The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Chinese Trend is the King’s Way Chapter 308: Chapter 308: Chinese Trend is the King’s Way Cheng Guodong was completely bewildered and dazed when he received the investment invitation from the children’s clothing company.

The children’s clothing brand was planning to open a subsidiary company selling couples’ attire, which was already bizarre. Moreover, the reason for opening this subsidiary was because of the Flower of the Other Shore sweater designed by Little Taotie–it was essentially opening a subsidiary for Little Taotie!

“Are you sure?” Cheng Guodong asked the visiting president of the children’s clothing company.

The president of the children’s clothing company nodded, “The board approved it unanimously!”

Cheng Guodong held his forehead, “My little sister is only six years old, aren’t you holding her in too high regard?”

The president of the children’s clothing company earnestly explained, “Art is different from other things, other things need a solid foundation, skilled technique, but art stems from talent! A solid foundation and skilled technique must be based on talent. Without talent, one can’t be called an artist, at most a craftsman.”

Cheng Guodong shook his head, “I’m just a farmer, I don’t understand all that, don’t hold my sister in too high regard, I don’t want her to be exploited.”

The president’s smile stiffened, and he became somewhat embarrassed, “I won’t lie to you, we indeed considered her popularity overseas, so we had this bold idea. If you don’t wish for her to be the chief designer, we can make her a co-designer…”

Cheng Guodong interrupted, “Hold on a moment, I think I should ask my sister herself about her thoughts. Although I want to protect her and not have her become too famous too early, she might want a good reputation. Let’s wait until I’ve asked her.”

The president nodded and left Cheng Guodong’s office. He didn’t return to the children’s clothing company but instead detoured to the temple as he was a devout Buddhist disciple.

Once at the temple, he knelt before the Buddha and prayed, “I hope that our country can also produce a brand that foreigners will clamor for!”

After putting all the cash he had into the merit box, he wrote down his name in the book of merits and then drove back to the company.

Upon arriving at the company, he saw the other directors looking at him with eyes full of expectation.

They were all classmates who had started the company together after graduation, achieving its current scale.

Those who work in children’s clothing always retained a pure heart; they hadn’t split up because the company had grown, but had in fact become even more united.

Take this subsidiary company issue, for instance. It was a reckless board meeting without even a business plan, yet it was unanimously approved. This was because of their shared ideal to make a significant mark in the fashion world with Hua Country’s clothing!

In fact, every time they saw their countrymen rush to grab outdated styles of foreign brands entering the domestic market, they felt greatly distressed.

To buy the latest season’s goods, one often had to pay several times the price that foreigners did.

And those clothes weren’t even worth the fabric they were made of!

They wanted to create a brand, a brand with good material, good design, that foreigners would urgently scramble for, to show their countrymen that it’s not only foreign clothes that are fashionable! Look, foreigners also scramble for our clothes; our clothes can be fashionable too!

Chinese Trend is the most enduring, and the coolest fashion!

The President sighed and answered truthfully, “He didn’t nod in agreement; he still needs to ask Little Taotie for her opinion.”

“What did Little Taotie say, does she want to be our designer?”

“Don’t rush, she hasn’t called me yet, probably will have an answer tonight.”

They didn’t go home but sat around a table in the office instead, with the President’s mobile phone on the table. Everyone’s eyes were fixed on the phone, hoping that Cheng Guodong would call soon.
