The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 319: Chapter 319: The Miserable Little Boy Chapter 319: Chapter 319: The Miserable Little Boy Little Taotie chased the orange figure until it ran into an ancient villa, covered in ivy and looking quite dilapidated. Only then did Little Taotie stop, not daring to move forward any further.

Just as she turned to leave, she heard a piercing cat’s meow.

The cry sounded like Little Lion, yet not quite like Little Lion; it seemed a bit sharper.

The sound was so pitiful that Little Taotie didn’t go back but stealthily approached the villa.

The villa’s gate was somewhat rusty; the gap between two bars was wide, especially for a six-year-old child.

She turned sideways and squeezed through successfully.

“Meow!” The piercing meow rang out at high decibels, but after one cry, it turned into a weak “Mew… mew…”

Little Taotie was anxious and hurried her steps, no longer caring about the eerie and terrifying look of the surroundings.

She was a child who wasn’t even fazed by seeing Ghost, so in places that seemed haunted and bizarre to ordinary people, she moved swiftly without hesitation or doubt.

All of Little Taotie’s thoughts were focused on rescuing Kitty!

She searched for the source of the sound, but suddenly the cat’s cries stopped, and she could neither hear any meows nor discern the direction.

Logically, a place as creepy as an abandoned factory should be teeming with Ghosts, but Little Taotie had been inside for quite some time without seeing a single Ghost.

The more this was the case, the more mysterious and unpredictable this place seemed.

Ordinarily bold, Little Taotie suddenly became anxious; she had lost her way and, failing to find Kitty was one thing, but now she couldn’t even find the way out.

She turned back to look around but couldn’t see the rusty gate anymore.

“Don’t be afraid, don’t be scared, I’m not afraid!” Little Taotie muttered to herself, her little face set in a very serious expression.

As she passed a door, she heard a faint noise.

She covered her mouth, not daring to make a sound, nor did she dare to push the door open. Instead, she tiptoed to the crack in the door and peeked inside cautiously.

It was very dark inside; she couldn’t see anything, but she heard a noise again, like someone stifling a cough.

She stepped back, clearly not expecting there to be someone living here.

She remembered her brother saying that breaking and entering was a crime!

Little Taotie wanted to find a door to leave this place!

But after walking in circles, she found herself back at the same door. This time, the coughing was louder, sounding like the person inside was about to cough to death.

Little Taotie was holding a bottle of milk meant for “Little Lion”; originally, she intended to give it to him, but when “Little Lion” suddenly ran out the door, she had no choice but to follow him, carrying the bottle of milk all the way.

“Do you need water?” Little Taotie asked in a tiny voice.

The coughing inside suddenly stopped, but after a moment of suppression, it was replaced by even more intense coughing.

Forgetting her fear, Little Taotie bravely pushed open the door and walked in.

She couldn’t see clearly, as it was too dark inside, so she took out her cell phone from her pocket and turned on the flashlight.

The light illuminated the pitch-black area.

The walls were black and spotty with mold, and the floor was a cement floor covered with thick dust. On the floor lay a boy, who seemed about the same age as Hua Jinyan.

The boy’s face was pale, and he was dressed in a white suit, which was covered in black, dried, cracked mud footprints, as if someone had stepped on it several days ago.

He was bound with a chain, the other end of which was welded to the cement floor; he had pulled the chain straight to its limit but was still about ten meters away from the door.

The boy looked up, his skin pale, his lips stained with blood which made him look even paler, his long lashes framing his washed-out deer-like eyes, making him appear innocent and beautiful.
