The Lovely Heiress Is Actually A God Beast

Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Video Call Not Answered Chapter 326: Chapter 326: Video Call Not Answered Cheng Guodong received a call from the nanny and turned back with Qin Xin.

Cheng Guodong, “Why didn’t we think of calling my sister?”

Qin Xin rubbed his temples, “When you are too concerned, you get confused.”

Cheng Guodong, “I thought you were calm and composed in the face of issues; I didn’t expect you to be as unreliable as me.”

Qin Xin, “Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself, we’re all the same.”

Cheng Guodong, “…” Fine, I can’t argue with him!

The nanny looked at the boy on her back with confusion and reached out her hand, asking, “Whose child is this, and why are you carrying him? Come on, put him down quickly!”

Little Taotie didn’t let the nanny take over. He went to the edge of the couch and finally put the boy down, saying, “He’s quite heavy, Auntie, I wouldn’t want to strain your hand.”

The nanny used a warm towel to wipe Little Taotie’s face and hands, feeling a warm glow in her heart as she tenderly asked, “Where have you run off to? We haven’t seen you all morning.”

“I went to play the hero!” Little Taotie pointed to the boy sitting on the couch, “I’m his lifesaver, and from now on, he’s my little brother! Oh right, where’s Hua Jinyan?”

Little Taotie had been back for a while but hadn’t seen Hua Jinyan; logically, Hua Jinyan should have come out hearing the noise in the living room!

The nanny sighed, “He’s sick. He’s been unresponsive since early morning with a high fever, so he was taken to the hospital.”

Little Taotie got anxious, “How did he get sick? I want to see him!”

“You’ve just come back, change into some clean clothes and eat something first. He has had an IV and the fever has subsided; it’s nothing serious. During the transition from winter to spring, you must dress warmly. He fell ill because he wore too little and caught a chill. You must dress more warmly, understand?”

Little Taotie lifted his clothes, “One, two, three, four, five layers! Auntie, I’m almost a dumpling, I’m wearing so much!”

The nanny sighed, “You didn’t wear the red vest I gave you!”

Little Taotie, “…”

He hung his head down sadly, “The little vest has gotten too small, I can’t fit into it, and the buttons just… popped open!”

“Pfft!” The boy couldn’t help but laugh out loud.

Little Taotie’s big, clear eyes widened, and he glared at him, looking fierce but adorable.

The nanny looked at the now healthy and chubby little girl, remembering how tiny and skinny she was when she first saw her, heartbreakingly small and short.

The master said that this was after she had nearly bankrupted the unscrupulous company by eating so much.

The nanny didn’t dare think about how skinny she must’ve been living in the mountains before.

Later, after watching a reality TV show filmed in the mountains featuring celebrities, and seeing Little Taotie, who was helping to find candy art, the nanny nearly cried. Little Taotie looked so thin and frail, like a little refugee.

“Auntie, am I too fat?”

“I’ll arrange a new vest for you, the buttons on the little vest are loose, it’s definitely not because you are fat.”

“… Okay then.”

The boy’s stomach started “gurgling.”

Little Taotie then remembered that the boy hadn’t eaten for two days, having only a little milk meant for cats, and a bit of chocolate in the car.

“Auntie, he was kidnapped by bad people and has been starved for two days, can you prepare something delicious for him?”

“What?” The auntie was startled upon hearing the word “kidnap,” “Should I call the police? How did you rescue him, are you hurt?”

“I’m fine, I was chasing Kitty, found him in an abandoned villa, and I rescued him alone and brought him back.”

“I’ll go prepare some food right away, poor thing! After being hungry for two days, he shouldn’t eat anything too greasy. I’ll make some vegetable porridge.”

The boy nodded and said thanks, “Thank you, Auntie.”

“You’re welcome, just wait a bit, it will be quick.”

After the nanny left, Little Taotie took out her mobile phone and tried to video call Hua Jinyan.

For a long time, no one answered.

Little Taotie gave up, her young face filled with worry.

“What’s wrong?” The boy asked with concern.

Little Taotie looked at him and said gloomily, “While I was away, my comrade got sick, something must have happened!”

She stood up and ran towards the door, “I’m going to the hospital to find him!”
