Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game

He thought he should really worry for Luis Hughes a bit, what to do if the mother of his child is both dumb and annoying, with bad skin—what if it’s a little girl?

His gaze swept over Avery Jane; she too had a makeup-free face. Her small face was smooth and radiant like jade, standing gracefully in the wind like a blooming Tina White. Their daughter would definitely be very beautiful, proud and confident like him. Their son might be as kind and stubborn as Avery Jane.

”I’ll come to see you. Take good care of yourself and focus on delivering the child. As long as you can give birth to this child, I guarantee the Hughes Family will give you a grand wedding.”

Weren’t those old guys on the board stirring up trouble?

Early in the morning, they were talking about the next generation. Even Luis Hughes was making a fuss. Thinking about the scene in the morning was still quite amusing.

”Brother, there’s already a child. As a man, you absolutely have to take responsibility, or else it won’t look good for the Hughes Clan.”

”Exactly, Joshua, you’ve been doing great these years, but you also need to consider nurturing the next generation of successors.”

”The Yates Family is a small family; they don’t match us in status. But since there’s already a child, you ought to abide by the rules of the Hughes Family and marry her.”

Everyone agreed that as long as Evelyn Yates could safely and healthily give birth to the Hughes Family’s child, the Hughes Family would give her a title.

Of course, this decision was agreed upon by Luis Hughes in front of all the elders.

His child, the blood of his child, cannot have such filthy things in it, no matter how clean they appear, just like Evelyn Yates now, wearing white clothes with black hair. But if you peel back her façade, it’s full of maggot-infested souls, disgusting enough to avoid touching.

”Joshua, why wait to have the wedding until after the child is born?”

Evelyn Yates felt a jolt in her heart. It’s already like this, her belly truly contains his flesh and blood, so why the delay?

”It’s the busiest time at the end of the year, I can’t find the time. Don’t ask too much about business matters.”

His face turned cold. This woman really didn’t recognize kindness, and she dared to rush him?

”From now on, none of you are allowed to come here; it’s the rule.”

With no patience to continue talking, Joshua Hughes reached out and took Avery Jane’s hand, leading her inside.

Now he should properly deal with this woman, why does she never learn her lesson?

Why does she always want to defy him? Truly infuriating.

”Joshua, isn’t this inappropriate? Evelyn is still pregnant; what do you think you’re doing? Although the Yates Family is small, you can’t bully us like this.”

Harper Johnson couldn’t stand it anymore. What was Joshua Hughes doing, pulling that bitch Avery Jane by the hand in front of them?

Clearly, he was trying to intimidate Evelyn, signaling that her daughter will never be able to manage his private life in the future.

If they don’t get rid of that Fox Spirit Avery Jane, even if her daughter gives birth, her days will certainly be restless.

”Then what do you think would be right? Should I humor her, stay with her every day, or should I give her the Hughes Clan? It’s just a child; if she doesn’t want to have it, she doesn’t have to.”

His previously indifferent tone changed, and the words he spat out from those thin lips were like ice-carved knives, merciless.

”Joshua, don’t be angry; mom is just worried about me. But after we get married, Avery Jane will be your sister-in-law, always a little...”

Evelyn Yates bowed her head again, as if she couldn’t voice such words.

”She was never your sister-in-law.”

The anger in Joshua Hughes’s chest was thoroughly kindled by Evelyn Yates’s words.

Avery Jane was his, his alone. Her first time was also with him. These damned people all knew nothing about it.
