Medical and Martial God

Chapter 451: Chapter 451: Dad, He Hit Me

Yin Tianxi, who had been resting with his eyes closed while embracing his sword, slowly opened his eyes and turned his head. He wanted to see who was audacious enough to strike his son.

When he saw Ye Xiu approaching from a distance, his legs went weak, and he nearly collapsed in fright. Godfather? Damn it, what is he doing in Han Jin City?

”Was it that young man who hit you?” Yin Tianxi’s mouth twitched as he asked in a low voice.

”It was him! His name is Ye Liangchen!” Yin Gaofei said viciously. ”Dad, in my entire life, no one has ever dared to hit me. You must avenge me!”

The words had barely left his mouth when he saw his father, Yin Tianxi, shakily fumbling in his pocket. He pulled out a mask and hastily put it on as large beads of sweat slid down his forehead.

Yin Gaofei was utterly bewildered. What is going on?

”Uncle Yin, all the tycoons of Han Jin City are here. Now is the perfect opportunity for you to establish your authority,” Zhang Chuntao whispered, sidling up to Yin Tianxi. ”Song Mingde dared to let Ye Liangchen beat Yin Gaofei up like this. Even I can’t stand for it, let alone you, the number one master on the War God Ranking. Today, in front of everyone, if you kill Ye Liangchen and beat up or kill Song Mingde, no one will ever dare to disrespect you again...”

Before he could finish, he saw Yin Tianxi slip to the back of the crowd and squat down.

Zhang Chuntao was flabbergasted. What is he doing?

”What’s wrong with my dad?” Yin Gaofei asked in confusion.

Zhang Chuntao thought for a moment and said, ”Nobody here knows Ye Liangchen hit you. As the number one master on the War God Ranking, if Uncle Yin rashly attacks and kills Ye Liangchen, everyone will gossip about him bullying the weak. He put on a mask and hid behind the crowd because he’s waiting for Ye Liangchen to hit you again. Then he’ll have the perfect excuse to act. It’s called having a just cause.”

Yin Gaofei’s eyes lit up. ”You’re brilliant! I would have never guessed what my dad was thinking.”

”Then what are you waiting for?” Zhang Chuntao urged.

Yin Gaofei nodded. Just as he was about to go provoke Ye Xiu, he suddenly saw Ling Yue and his son, Ling Yun, smiling as they walked towards Ye Xiu’s group of four.

”Godfather!” Ling Yun called out with a smile.

His shout stunned everyone present.

Godfather? Who was Ling Yun calling godfather? Song Mingde? Or Song Kaiwen? What the—when did the Ling Family and the Song Family develop this kind of relationship? No one imagined Ling Yun was calling out to Ye Xiu, since they both appeared to be about the same age.

”Is that Ling Yun, the eldest young master of the Ling Family? Who is he calling godfather?” Song Yushu asked in confusion.

Song Mingde and Song Kaiwen were also puzzled. They looked around but saw no one else nearby. And yet, Ling Yue and Ling Yun were definitely walking toward them.

”Brother!” Ling Yue, walking ahead of Ling Yun, extended his hand toward Ye Xiu from a distance. He smiled and introduced himself, ”I am Ling Yun’s father, Ling Yue. You are my son’s godfather, so it wouldn’t be too much for me to call you brother, would it?”

Heh, you sure know how to curry favor... Ye Xiu scoffed inwardly, but he still shook Ling Yue’s hand and replied with a smile, ”Not at all, not at all.”

The entire crowd was dumbstruck.

Ling Yun’s godfather was Ye Liangchen? Song Yushu, Song Mingde, Song Kaiwen, Zhang Shaoping, Zhang Chuntao, and Yin Gaofei all felt as if they had been struck by lightning. This young man was actually Ling Yun’s godfather? The scalps of those who didn’t know Ye Xiu tingled.

The Ling Family was the wealthiest in Han Jin City, and Ling Yun was their eldest young master who had also carved out his own territory in Jin Ye City. For such a prominent figure to acknowledge a godfather who was about his own age?

In an instant, the same thought flashed through everyone’s mind: Ye Liangchen’s identity was anything but simple! It was so formidable that the eldest young master of the Ling Family had taken to calling him ”godfather” just to get on his good side.

Song Yushu, Song Mingde, and Song Kaiwen were dumbfounded. They had long suspected that Ye Liangchen’s identity was extraordinary, considering his exceptional Medical Skills, his status as a Martial Artist, and his ability to casually produce 100 million in cash for a three-day free treatment event at the Mingde Ancient Medical Hall. But they truly hadn’t anticipated that his background was so terrifying that he was the godfather to Ling Yun, the heir of Han Jin City’s foremost family.

”Young Master Zhang, it seems that Ye Liangchen has quite the background,” Yin Gaofei said nervously.

”To make Ling Yun willingly acknowledge him as godfather and have Ling Yue proactively seek a connection, Ye Liangchen must have a business magnate behind him. Plus, with the surname Ye and being a Martial Artist, I think Ye Liangchen must be a member of the Ye Family from Yunluo City,” Zhang Chuntao analyzed with a sagacious expression.

Yin Gaofei’s heart sank. Even if his father, Yin Tianxi, was the number one master on the War God Ranking, they could not afford to provoke a behemoth like the Ye Family.

”What are you so afraid of?” Seeing Yin Gaofei getting cold feet, Zhang Chuntao encouraged him. ”We’re about to become partners with Ye Xiu. The Ye Family may be influential, but are they more powerful than Ye Xiu?”

Upon hearing this, Yin Gaofei’s apprehension about Ye Liangchen vanished instantly. He strode toward Ye Xiu with his head held high and said angrily, ”Ye Liangchen, you’ve got some nerve! After hitting me, you still dare to show your face in public. Do you really think no one in my Yin Family can kill you?”

This sudden outburst stunned everyone who was still speculating about Ye Liangchen’s identity, striking them like another bolt of lightning.

What? Ling Yun’s godfather hit Yin Gaofei? Good heavens, this guy named Ye Liangchen was far too bold, daring to strike the son of Yin Tianxi, the number one master on the War God Ranking.

Wait a minute. Ye Liangchen? His surname was Ye? Instantly, the name ”Ye Family” flashed through the minds of everyone unaware of the truth.

He could make Ling Yun, the Ling Family’s eldest young master, disregard their age difference to become his godfather. He could make Ling Yue, Han Jin City’s richest man, proactively build a connection. And he dared to hit Yin Tianxi’s son. It seemed Ye Liangchen had to be from the Ye Family!

Then... was he accompanying the Song Family to the airport to welcome Jin Lian with ill intent?

At that thought, the gazes of all the uninformed onlookers turned sharp.

Damn it! Squatting behind the crowd and trying to stay hidden, Yin Tianxi almost wet himself when he saw his son openly challenging Ye Xiu. He inwardly cursed Yin Gaofei for being a suicidal idiot who was practically courting death.

”You really are bold,” Ye Xiu said teasingly, beckoning to the approaching Yin Gaofei. ”After fleeing the Mingde Ancient Medical Hall, you still dare to show your face in front of me. Was the last beating too light for you? Come on, come on. Let me give you another one.”

As he said this, everyone who knew Yin Tianxi was present began to watch with keen anticipation. If Ye Liangchen hit Yin Gaofei here, Yin Tianxi would probably leap out and kill him immediately, right?

Ling Yue and Ling Yun just smiled. Of everyone present, only they knew the true relationship between Ye Xiu and Yin Tianxi.

”I’m right here. I dare you to hit me again,” Yin Gaofei taunted, walking up to Ye Xiu with an air of invincibility.

SLAP!

Ye Xiu’s palm sent Yin Gaofei sprawling face-first onto the ground. He lay there for three seconds, his head ringing, then scrambled up and shouted toward the crowd, ”Dad, he hit me!”

Zhang Shaoping and Zhang Chuntao were overjoyed to see Ye Xiu actually strike Yin Gaofei in public, thinking that Yin Tianxi finally had his justification to kill Ye Liangchen.

Zhang Chuntao looked toward Yin Tianxi, who was still squatting behind the crowd. ”Uncle Yin, Ye Liangchen just slapped Yin Gaofei in public. That’s a direct slap in your face! If you don’t teach him a lesson, I’m afraid nobody will ever take you, the number one master on the War God Ranking, seriously again.”
