Chapter 491: Chapter 491: Qin Qing Misunderstands Ye Xiu for Cheating

”Ye Xiu...”

Slipping into Ye Xiu’s bedroom, Nangong Yue called out in a soft voice. Her expression was charming, her face full of tenderness, her delicate voice dripping with allure.

However, no one responded. The room was silent.

”Big Brother Ye, it’s me, your darling Nangong,” she said again. Barefoot, she tiptoed toward the bed like a little thief, her posture both cute and sexy.

”Huh?”

Reaching the bedside, Nangong Yue discovered the bed was empty. She checked the bathroom, but no one was there either.

”Where did he go?”

Nangong Yue had a look of adorable confusion on her face, then shrugged nonchalantly. ”Who cares where he went? I’ll just lie in wait here. He’s bound to come back eventually.”

With that, she leaped onto Ye Xiu’s bed, quickly stripped off all her clothes, and sprawled out without a cover.

Oh, this is so embarrassing...

As her imagination ran wild, Nangong Yue shyly covered her face with a pillow.

Two masked figures dressed in black stealth suits quietly arrived at the foot of the Long Family Manor’s courtyard wall. Judging by their curvaceous figures, it was clear they were both women.

”It’s not even midnight. Did we come too early? The Long Family Manor is filled with experts. If we’re discovered, we’ll ruin Ye Xiu’s undercover mission,” one of the masked women whispered.

”There’s no need to worry, Young Mistress. Gong Jin said the Young Master was hosting a dinner tonight, so everyone in the Long Family Manor is drunk. They should all be asleep by now. Even if we walked in boldly, no one would notice,” the other replied.

The two were, in fact, Qin Qing and Chloe.

”Then what are we waiting for? Let’s go, go, go!”

Hearing that their presence wouldn’t be exposed, Qin Qing couldn’t wait any longer and leaped over the courtyard wall into the Long Family Manor. Chloe hurriedly followed.

The two snuck into the courtyard of the villa where Ye Xiu was staying. They tiptoed to the front door, where Chloe made short work of the electronic keypad.

”Which room?” Qin Qing whispered once they were inside.

”Follow me!” Chloe led the way.

The pair darted up to the second floor without making a sound. Arriving at the door to Ye Xiu’s bedroom, Qin Qing stifled a laugh. ”Let’s give him a surprise.”

”I hope it’s not a fright,” Chloe said nervously.

They silently opened the door and entered the bedroom.

At that moment, Nangong Yue, who was lying on the bed fantasizing about naughty scenarios, heard the noise and her heart began to pound.

Big Brother Ye is back!

Qin Qing and Chloe carefully closed and locked the door behind them.

Qin Qing flicked on the light and jumped toward the bed. ”Surprise—”

”Big Brother Ye, aren’t I a pleasant surprise—”

Nangong Yue and Qin Qing spoke at almost the exact same time.

Then, they stared at each other, utterly bewildered.

Chloe covered her eyes. Damn it. The Young Mistress caught her red-handed. Now the Young Master wouldn’t be able to clear his name even if he dived into the ocean.

”Wrong room...?” Qin Qing asked, turning awkwardly to Chloe. But before she could finish, she saw the look on Chloe’s face and the way she was covering her eyes. She instantly realized they weren’t in the wrong room.

This was Ye Xiu’s room.

”Who... who are you?” Nangong Yue snapped back to her senses, leaping up from the bed and assuming a defensive posture as if facing a formidable enemy.

”Go ask the King of Hell.” Qin Qing’s gaze was frigid, like eternal Cold Ice. She turned to Chloe and ordered, ”Kill her!”

Her voice was even colder than her eyes.

”This...” Chloe hesitated, not daring to act. If Nangong Yue really was Ye Xiu’s woman, killing her would mean Ye Xiu wouldn’t just kill her; he would exterminate her entire family.

Qin Qing saw Chloe’s hesitation and didn’t press the matter. Instead, she stormed out of the bedroom in a rage.

”Sigh.” Chloe let out a breath, her eyes suddenly turning a deep purple. She looked at Nangong Yue and said, ”Look into my eyes.”

Nangong Yue instinctively met Chloe’s gaze, and the world instantly began to spin. Her entire body went slack, and her expression turned wooden.

”You have never seen us,” Chloe stated.

”I have never seen you...” Nangong Yue repeated woodenly, then fell limply onto the bed, fast asleep.

Seeing this, Chloe hurried after Qin Qing, pulling out her phone to send a quick text message to Ye Xiu.

At that moment, Ye Xiu was on his way to find the Long Family Head. When he received Chloe’s message, he swore viciously.

I’m so screwed. Caught in the act! Not even a resurrected Detective Dee could clear my name in this case.

His mood soured to an extreme, and a violent aura filled the car. He floored the accelerator, speeding toward the villa where the Long Family Head resided.

The Long Family Head was in his living room watching TV, waiting for Huang Quan to arrive and beat him up.

BANG!

Suddenly, the mahogany door was kicked open. Ye Xiu, dressed in his Huang Quan Suit, strode in, radiating a murderous aura.

This scared the Long Family Head out of his wits.

Huang Quan seems to be in a foul mood!

”Um, would you like to sit down and have some tea to rest up before you beat me?” the Long Family Head timidly suggested.

”I’m in a bad mood. I might go a little too hard on you, so just bear with it,” Ye Xiu said coldly. He leaped forward, kicking the Long Family Head in the head before pinning him to the sofa and unleashing a merciless flurry of blows.

The Long Family Head was beaten into a daze.

This is what he calls ’a little too hard’? This is attempted murder!

He beat him for a full twenty minutes.

Finally, the Long Family Head was lying on the sofa like a dead pig. ”It’s finally over!” he said weakly.

”That didn’t blow off enough steam. How about I give you tomorrow’s beating in advance?” Ye Xiu suggested, still not satisfied.

”Ah?” The Long Family Head was petrified. He was already severely injured and couldn’t possibly take any more.

Before he could beg for mercy, Ye Xiu pounced on him again.

”AHHH—” A scream like a slaughtered pig echoed throughout the neighborhood, its haunting wail piercing the pitch-black night like the cry of a ghost.

Meanwhile, Chloe was driving Qin Qing home. Throughout the drive, Qin Qing sat in the passenger seat, head down and silent.

Chloe couldn’t stand the silence any longer and said timidly, ”Um, Young Mistress, actually... hehe... the Young Master really does love you. He just... made a mistake that any man might make. Could you, perhaps, forgive him this once?”

Qin Qing kept her head down, not saying a word. Suddenly, she whipped her head around to look at Chloe and asked, ”Did you tell Ye Xiu?”

”Under the circumstances, I didn’t dare keep it from the Young Master,” Chloe said with an awkward laugh.

Qin Qing’s face broke into a smile. ”Guess what kind of mood Ye Xiu is in right now?”
