Cleaver Of Sin

Chapter 1213: Saitama’s Abilities [Magic Castle Bonus Chapter]

Zuri simply took a step and vanished from her position, her body appearing before Asher, her claymore singing downward as she slashed from above, aiming to cleave him in half. Asher’s reaction was instantaneous. He swung Virelass to meet the attack head-on, but before metal could sing against metal once more, Zuri vanished from her position again, leaving Asher’s rapier to meet nothing but empty space.

Asher was stunned for a moment, but that didn’t slow his recalibration as he guessed she was attacking from the side or behind. The moment he moved in that direction, he found nothing, his Omni Perception locking onto Zuri, who had shot towards Saitama, who was in the distance.

Although Zuri had ignored Saitama, dismissing him as a nobody, surely, this guy wasn’t a nobody. He wasn’t using Astra Energy yet was still keeping up with her. She wanted to handle him and see what this guy was hiding, and once she dealt with him first, there would be no more interruptions whenever she was about to injure the Tenth Sun.

Saitama didn’t shy away from a head-on confrontation. His Stat Allocation ability came alive once more as he shifted thirty percent of his stamina into perception, shifted thirty percent of his durability into strength, and shifted thirty percent of his agility into speed.

The moment Zuri’s claymore came down on his left shoulder, he read the trajectory of the attack. He shifted his centre of gravity, his body lowering as he moved to the side, dodging the attack with the speed of a cat.

But Zuri seemed to have expected this, as her earlier attack was a feint. She simply adjusted to Saitama’s adjustment, following him as she unleashed an attack at his chest, moving to draw blood.

Saitama’s eyes snapped towards the attack, his palms moving as he immediately caught the claymore with ease. He pinned the weapon in place, his foot blurring towards Zuri’s jawline with explosive force.

Just because Saitama always preferred to punch things didn’t mean he didn’t know how to dodge, evade, or parry. He was a master hand-to-hand combatant, as he was simply a genius when it came to that style of combat. That was his domain, and he was a monster in that category.

Zuri immediately let go of her weapon as she ducked under the kick. As she ducked, she lowered herself completely and unleashed a spinning low kick at Saitama’s ankles as she moved to cripple his mobility.

Saitama’s eyes snapped towards the incoming attack. He couldn’t react in time with his normal speed, so he simply increased the output of his Stat Allocation ability, raising the allocation into speed from thirty percent to thirty-two percent.

With that, he leaped into the air, flipping through the space as he moved backwards, narrowly dodging the attack. He recalibrated while still in the air, Zuri’s claymore also spinning beside him as he had let go of it.

Without missing a beat, his forefoot boomed through the air as he struck the hilt of the blade with his leg. As force met claymore, the sword shot in the opposite direction, streaking towards the direction where Zuri was standing.

But as the attack closed the distance, Zuri simply smirked as she spun on her feet, one leg rising as she met the hilt of her own weapon with her heel, sending it back to Saitama, acting like she no longer needed the weapon.

Saitama, who was still midair, instantly caught the claymore by the hilt. The moment he caught it, Zuri had already closed the distance, another claymore in hand, having retrieved it from her spatial ring. She slashed at Saitama’s neck, aiming to decapitate him.

Saitama blocked, claymore meeting claymore with a resounding clash. Although he wasn’t a swordmaster, he knew a thing or two about the sword. After all, his father was a swordmaster, making it impossible for him to be completely clueless. But that didn’t mean he would be using it.

After the first block, he simply threw the weapon away and met Zuri’s follow-up attacks with his fists. Both of them vanished into the clouds, their bodies intertwining as metal met flesh. Various booms echoed in the sky, clouds shattering, shockwaves slamming into the ground from above, and the space quaking as the sky threatened to collapse. The clouds twisted violently overhead, while shattered fragments of stone rained across the scarred battlefield below.

A five-hundred-kilometre radius below was razed as they moved like mortal enemies. Neither of them managed to land a blow on the other.

Zuri couldn’t understand it. At the moment, she wasn’t using her Astra Energy because there was simply no need, but this man was matching her without Astra Energy. Even as they fought, she was reinforcing herself through Astra Energy, yet she didn’t even sense a flicker of it from him. Not only that, he was meeting her claymore with his fists, which were covered in nothing but gloves.

Normally, he should have been injured, his skin torn and blood splattering, yet nothing happened.

None of this made sense to her.

Zuri was simply unaware of the Silverleaf Physique; that was all. However, as for her confusion, Saitama possessed the innate ability to fly from the moment he awakened, an ability stemming from his Silverleaf Physique that his father, Ryuk, didn’t possess.

Not only that, the true reason why Saitama never bothered to wear gauntlets and could meet any attack sent at him with nothing but his bare fists was simply that his hands, or rather, the parts of his arms from his elbows downwards, were as indestructible as any soul-bound weapon out there.

These were abilities that even his father, Ryuk, who was the first to possess the Silverleaf Physique, didn’t possess. Ryuk hadn’t thought much about it and simply believed that perhaps the Silverleaf Physique grew stronger with each generation or something. But he had no history to consult or examine. He could only make guesses.

As Saitama and Zuri put some distance between themselves, Asher immediately flickered into place as he switched positions with a cloud in the sky that was behind Zuri.

As he appeared, he unleashed a slash, Virelass tearing through Zuri’s skin like a hot knife through butter. Zuri was stunned; she hadn’t expected Asher to teleport this far. She had sensed the attack, but it had simply been too late to dodge or channel Astra Energy to block it.

But it didn’t matter to her, as the next moment, her skin snapped shut, healing her immediately. She spun around, her claymore sweeping through the cloud and towards Asher’s neck.

Saitama moved immediately as he shot forward, but Zuri ignored him, as Asher had always been her main target. Saitama had merely been a side quest, and that quest was over. As her attack was about to land, Asher vanished from where he stood.

Zuri immediately turned, her claymore singing as it met Saitama’s fist while she tried to identify the Tenth Sun’s location.

The moment she turned around to face Saitama, pain immediately shot through her shoulder as the hand holding her claymore was instantly severed from behind. Blood splattered, and the hand dropped from the sky, plummeting through the air towards the ground thousands of metres away.
