Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Rumble~

Only a short time after he decided to use the random teleportation talisman to escape from the spiritual tree and avoid having to try and escape by going somewhere dangerous like the Southern Central Region or the Endless Ocean, the space a few hundred meters away was ripped open as the towering spiritual tree emerged and landed on the ground with a loud rumbling sound. Followed by the massive roots rapidly burrowing into the ground. Allowing the spiritual tree to anchor itself and remain in an optimal state for combat.

The reason for this kind of preparation was rather simple, it wanted to ensure that no one would have the opportunity to snatch away the remaining five spiritual fruits loosely attached to its branches just below its canopy. At the same time also wanting to safeguard the spatial artifact in the form of a simple looking disk that had already flown out and began hovering slightly above it, as it began using it to trace the spatial energies left behind.

Rustle~

However, different from what had happened in the past, even after several minutes passed, there was no sign of the spatial artifact picking up any traces that might have been left behind by Xuan Hao during his escape, something that was completely unexpected to the spiritual tree.

After all, even if he had used some kind of special method to escape, he should have left some kind of trace behind in the process. Different from the current state of things where it almost seemed like he had simply vanished into thin air after reaching the current location.

Stumbling upon some kind of ancient ruin or secret realm was an option that the spiritual tree considered, but even with its roots and branches scouring through the surrounding hundreds of kilometers, it didn’t find anything.

He could have gone further than that, but that would have also left some kind of clue behind for it to follow. After all, at the end of the day, Xuan Hao was still someone in the Sea Formation Realm and wouldn’t have the ability to hide his movements from someone already half a step into the Star Creation Realm without the help of the Dao of Space, something that had already been accounted for through the spatial artifact. Making it impossible for him to just vanish into thin air like he had seemingly been able to accomplish.

In the end, as it continued being unable to find any clues about where Xuan Hao had suddenly disappeared to, the spiritual tree grew increasingly agitated-

RUUUMBLE-!

Something that caused the countless roots and branches to violently devastate the area a hundred kilometers around the spiritual tree. Soon enough, turning the formerly lively mountainous terrain into a desolate flat land with countless massive ravines and canyons created by the massive roots emerging from below ground in a violent manner that directly dug up massive amounts of dirt and rock in the process.

Of course, this kind of devastation wasn’t entirely without cause, as the spiritual tree was also using it as an opportunity to try and see if Xuan Hao hadn’t left in the first place but instead managed to hide himself from it through the help of some kind of special formation or artifact.

But... It was once again left in disappointment, as no hidden space was dug up and Xuan Hao remained out of sight. Leaving the spiritual tree to once again throw a tantrum as its towering roots slammed into the ground violently. The anger being oddly visible to anyone watching.

From actions alone, it was clear that the emotional stability of the spiritual tree wasn’t that stable. Making it clear to anyone watching that the spiritual tree itself shouldn’t have had its consciousness for long, something that was incredibly terrifying considering how powerful its strength was, as it indicated that the spiritual tree itself was still in a state of early development and hadn’t truly grown up yet!

Unfortunately, there wasn’t anyone around who could use this information, as any cultivator who might have been close enough to realize this had long since ended up dead in the face the of the spiritual tree’s branches and roots indiscriminately killing anything they encountered along the way.

The few powerful figures in the Eastern Central Region who had the ability to observe the spiritual tree from afar, had long since decided to hide away and wait for the danger to pass. None of them were daring enough to try and approach the spiritual tree after they learnt about the failure of the four Land Creation Realm leaders failing to stop it.

No matter how interested they might be in the spiritual tree, they valued their own lives far more than a chance to see the spiritual tree up close. Especially considering five Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators had already ended up dead...

Rumble~

As the rampage of the spiritual tree continued to wreak havoc in an increasingly large region, it also began to calm down before ultimately retracting its roots and branches after a little over twenty minutes.

The anger it felt after losing its target, the thief who had dared to steal its spiritual fruits, dissipating enough for it to think clearly again, the spiritual tree slowly examined its surroundings again before ultimately and unwillingly tearing open a spatial passage-

Whoosh~

Leaving the now devasted region with the clear understanding that it wouldn’t be able to chase after the thief any longer, as the other party had managed to successfully use some kind of strange and unknown method to escape without leaving any traces behind for it to follow.

This did not mean that the spiritual tree had decided to give up on its revenge, it only meant that for now, Xuan Hao had managed to successfully get rid of the spiritual tree, but... Should he ever appear within the spiritual tree’s sight again, it wouldn’t hesitate to once again resume the chase.

No matter what, the spiritual tree had no intention of letting go of the thief that had essentially ruined thousands of years of progress that had been spent nurturing the spiritual fruits he had stolen...!
