Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Hm? It’s no longer trying to leave? Is it perhaps because of these spiritual fruits?

Noticing the reaction from the spiritual tree as he forcibly grabbed the five spiritual fruits he had just barely noticed during his attack, the cultivator could not help showing a somewhat surprised expression on his face as he began to examine the five spiritual fruits now in his hand a bit more closely than before. Only now, realizing that the spiritual fruits were far more precious than he had first believed them to be.

In turn, he also tried to quickly put them away inside of his interspatial ring to prevent the spiritual tree from taking the spiritual fruits back but quickly realized that it was impossible to place the spiritual fruits inside his interspatial ring. Forcing him to awkwardly back away from the spiritual tree with the spiritual fruits in hand. Knowing that it would be impossible for him to hide them from the other three without the help of his interspatial ring.

”That is... Spiritual fruits...?”

Because of this, before the spiritual tree even had the chance to try and snatch back the five spiritual fruits, one of the three other Land Creation Realm cultivators noticed the spiritual fruits and rushed over with a clear look of greed on his face after sensing the massive quantity of spiritual qi inside them.

”Hmph!”

Swish~

Knowing that it would be impossible to keep the spiritual fruits for himself now that the others had learnt about them, the middle-aged cultivator didn’t bother holding on to them. Directly throwing one to each of the three while keeping two for himself. After all, with the relationship between the four of them, he didn’t doubt that those three would waste no time joining forces with the spiritual tree to kill him off if he did so.

All things considered, though the spiritual tree posed a great threat and had caused significant damage to all four of their factions, it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be recovered and even if they couldn’t deal with the spiritual tree’s rampage, they always had the option of retracting their forces completely and waiting until the situation blew over.

Though the damage to their overall strength would be great, it would be worth it if it meant that they would be able to eliminate one of their competitors.

As for how he was able to keep two for himself? That was simply because someone had to and there was no one better than himself considering that he was the one who had grabbed the spiritual fruits in the first place. Nothing that the other three could complain about as each of them had already gotten their hands on a spiritual fruit.

For now, at least, their attention once again focused on the spiritual tree that had stopped itself from chasing after Xuan Hao like it had originally intended on doing before the five spiritual fruits had been stolen at the last second while its attention was focused elsewhere.

It had long since sensed that the spiritual fruits that had been taken by Xuan Hao had mostly been consumed by now and could no longer be recovered. The main reason why it still chased after him was not just for the spiritual fruits but also for revenge.

But the four Land Creation Realm cultivators who didn’t yet get the chance to consume the spiritual fruits presented a greater importance than revenge against Xuan Hao, as it would still be able to recover the spiritual fruits from them...

Rustle~

Because of this, the spiritual tree acted without the slightest bit of hesitation, as countless thick roots burrowed into the ground below it. Allowing it to anchor itself to the ground, as an even greater number of branches stretched out from its crown towards the spear wielding cultivator holding on to two spiritual fruits. Making it clear that it was now fully focused on this battle and had no intention of leaving, something that both surprised and terrified the four Land Creation Realm cultivators present, as they only now began to realize that the spiritual tree was far more terrifying than they had first expected.

Not because it had been able to endure their ambush without taking any serious damage, but because the presence of the spiritual tree had elevated to a completely different level after it anchored itself to the ground and went on the offensive.

”Half-Step Star Creation Realm! This damnable spiritual tree is actually one step into the Star Creation Realm!”

”This...”

Feeling the terrifying presence of the spiritual tree as it unleashed its full might for the first time, all four of the Land Creation Realm cultivators began panicking, as they realized that the strength of the spiritual tree wasn’t actually in the Land Creation Realm, but instead a transitional realm between the Land Creation Realm and the Star Creation Realm.

Although still far from the Star Creation Realm in terms of power, it ultimately still caried some power from that realm and stood above that of the Land Creation Realm to a certain extent. Meaning that even if all four of them worked together, they wouldn’t stand a chance in the face of this spiritual tree.

The only thing that made them feel slightly relived in the face of this terrifying spiritual tree that had finally revealed its true might, was the fact that all of them could clearly sense that the spiritual tree was injured and couldn’t unleash its full strength.

Of course, this didn’t mean that they felt confident in facing off against the spiritual tree in battle. Instead, it meant that they now at least had some confidence in being able to escape from their current situation without being killed off by the spiritual tree...

Swish~

And among the first to act was none other than the spear wielding middle-aged cultivator, as he directly pulled out a talisman that allowed him to shuttle through space at a terrifying speed. Allowing him to escape from the location before any of the other three even had the chance to react.

Thump~ Thump~

In the process, he also chose to directly discard the two spiritual fruits he had happily stolen a few seconds earlier. Understanding full well from the situation that had been playing out over the past few days that taking them along would result in the spiritual tree chasing after him, something he couldn’t afford to happen considering he wasn’t as proficient in the Dao of Space and had no clue whether the spiritual tree might turn to attack his base in the Eastern Central Region if it couldn’t catch him.

As for swallowing the spiritual fruits on the spot? He didn’t dare do something like that without properly investigating the spiritual fruits beforehand and making sure that there wasn’t something wrong with them. After all, who knew if the spiritual tree had decided to take some precautions in case someone else stole its spiritual fruits during its chase over the past few days?

”This... That guy sure runs fast...”

”Indeed...”

”We should go as well; there is no way for us to deal with this kind of spiritual tree.”

Seeing the spear wielding cultivator disappearing almost the second the spiritual tree revealed its true strength, the other three smiled wryly at each other for a second before similarly turning around to run away.

Thump~ Thump~ Thump~

Like the spear wielding cultivator, they also decided to discard the spiritual fruits. Not wanting to draw the anger of a spiritual tree half a step into the Star Creation Realm. Especially considering that the spiritual tree in question had already slowed down its branches allowing them to leave after sensing the first among the leaving behind the spiritual fruits.

Clearly, the spiritual tree didn’t want to tangle with them and only wanted to get the spiritual fruits back before resuming its earlier chase.

After all, even though it was stronger than the four of them, it ultimately wasn’t in the Star Creation Realm and wouldn’t be able to easily deal with four Land Creation Realm cultivators. Not to mention, it wasn’t entirely risk free either, as someone in the Land Creation Realm had lived a long time and would have some trump cards up their sleeve in case they were pushed to the brink.

Whoosh~

Whoosh~

Whoosh~

Because of this, the spiritual tree decided to not attack the remaining three as they left after leaving behind the spiritual fruits. Only focusing on picking up the spiritual fruits before putting them back in place-

Rumble~

After which it uprooted itself from the ground with a loud rumbling sound before tearing through space to chase after Xuan Hao once again. Only this time around was it clear that Xuan Hao had managed to create a significant distance between the two of them.

More than enough distance for him to recover from the injuries he had suffered from his quick escape and prepare for consuming the final spiritual fruit without any interruptions from the spiritual tree...
