Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Hm? It’s still chasing after me!? Don’t tell me it really does have some kind of spatial artifact that allows it to track me... No... It isn’t entirely certain yet; it might just be some remnant aura of the spiritual fruits still lingering around me that allowed it to track me down...

Feeling the all too familiar presence of the spiritual tree closing in on him once again, Xuan Hao could not help panicking before he quickly came up with a reason as to how the spiritual tree had managed to track him down again.

Although this reason was possible, it was highly unlikely, and he understood deep down that he was most likely dealing with some kind of spatial artifact that allowed the spiritual tree to track him down and continue chasing after him even after he had finished consuming all the spiritual fruits... And in that regard, he had no idea about the limits or requirements that came with such artifacts, as he had never encountered any of them before and had at most managed to learn a bit about such artifacts through information that had been gathered by the sect over the years.

At the end of the day, spatial artifacts that weren’t designed for the purpose of storing items like interspatial rings, were incredibly rare and difficult to find. All for the simple reason that crafting specialized spatial artifacts not only required a high comprehension in the Dao of Space, but also an equally high comprehension in the Dao of Blacksmithing.

Not to mention, an artifact that could track him down had to have been created by someone who had not just reached the Perfection Realm of the Dao of Space, but also the Saint Realm in Blacksmithing.

Even having learnt about the power structure of the continent and different powerful figures, he had never heard about any Saint Realm Blacksmith having reached the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Space. Making him believe that the artifact in the spiritual tree’s hand had either come from an ancient ruin, a major power in the Southern Central Region or a place outside the continent.

After all, even though the endless ocean was known to be hostile and difficult to traverse, someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm or the Profound Immortal Realm would still be capable of doing so with relatively little risk if they didn’t stray too far from the borders of the Ewaria Continent... And in this case, one could find several smaller islands disconnected from the continent itself where some people had already settled down and made a home for themselves.

That and one could explore the ruins that were far more likely to cover these smaller islands. After all, there was a reason why most decided against establishing themselves on these smaller islands, as it was not just incredibly dangerous having to deal with demon beasts emerging from the endless ocean far more frequently, but the concentration of spiritual qi was also far lower. Making cultivation difficult.

In a sense, it would be almost impossible to establish oneself outside the continent on one of these smaller islands without the backing of someone in the Celestial Immortal Realm or the Profound Immortal Relam, but... Cultivators like that would normally much rather establish themselves in the resource rich core region of the continent. Resulting in the relatively desolate state of the islands that could be found around the continent. Most ending up as homes to demon beasts from the endless ocean because of this...

The long-winded explanation aside, the thing to take away was that there were still some places that were still completely unknown to him for now. Making it possible for there to be someone skilled in both the Dao of Blacksmithing and the Dao of Space to be hiding somewhere in the Southern Central Region or the smaller islands close to the continent. Making it possible for the spiritual tree to get its branches on a spatial artifact if it was from either of those locations, though, the far more likely scenario was that it had found the spatial artifact in some ancient ruins.

In the end, none of this really mattered much to him for now, as the important thing for him now was to figure out a way to shake off the spiritual tree that was in possession of a spatial artifact that allowed it to track him. Rendering his earlier escape plan of first consuming the spiritual fruits before going back to the sect after ensuring that the spiritual tree couldn’t follow him without the spiritual fruits, completely useless.

Running around the Eastern Central Region like I have been doing so far and hoping that the spiritual tree becomes tired most likely won’t work as a solution. Especially considering that we are bound to draw even more attention if things continue like this for too long. Potentially even resulting in some Star Creation Realm cultivator from the Southern Central Region coming over to take a look...

Frowning as his thoughts ended up unable to find any clear solution to the current troublesome situation, he found himself in, he could only continue escaping like he had done so far while trying to come up with a way to shake off the spiritual tree.

In the end, he concluded that he needed to find some way to distract the spiritual tree for long enough that any traces he might have left behind while escaping were erased.

The main problem with this was that even the four Land Creation Realm cultivators from the Eastern Central Region teaming up with each other hadn’t been capable of delaying the spiritual tree for long enough... And it was unlikely for him to find a stronger lineup in the Eastern Central Region to face off against the spiritual tree.

Meaning... He would have to either find some special forbidden zone to take advantage of inside the Eastern Central Region or he would have to leave for some other region and look for someone different to distract the spiritual tree.

However, as even four Land Creation Realm cultivators had been rendered useless in delaying the spiritual tree, the only real location that had cultivators powerful enough to properly delay the spiritual tree was the Southern Central Region, but... The Southern Central Region was dangerous for him as well and going there without any prior knowledge about the region outside of a general outline was nothing short of reckless.

After all, with his lack of knowledge of the Southern Central Region, he might end up accidentally stumbling into some legendary forbidden zone that proved deadly even to someone in the Star Creation Realm or he might accidentally crash into the guardian formation of a sacred ground of a certain religious group by accident while travelling through space and end up offending some terrifying existence because of this. Ending up with someone potentially even more powerful than the spiritual tree chasing after him.

But... At the end of the day, he didn’t really have much of a choice, as his other solution to his current situation was to try and rush into the endless ocean and hope the spiritual tree wouldn’t dare to follow him. This mainly relied on the fact that the spiritual tree would be significantly weakened in the ocean where it wouldn’t be able to root itself to the ground easily and the clear danger associated with the endless ocean.

So... The Southern Central Region or the Endless Ocean...

Smiling a bit wryly as he went over his two choices for escape, he felt reluctant to follow through in going to those dangerous and-

Wait! Don’t I still have the random teleportation talisman from the system quest?

Just as he was about to make his decision on where to escape, he suddenly remembered the random teleportation talisman that he had been given by the system in the past.

Although he would normally not be willing to use it unless it was absolutely necessary, as it could bring him into an even more dangerous situation, his current situation seemed fitting, as he would be heading to those dangerous locations anyway. At the very least, with the help of the random teleportation talisman from the system, he should be able to prevent the spiritual tree from chasing after him with the spatial artifact, as he highly doubted that a talisman capable of taking him anywhere on the Ewaria Continent involved the Perfection Realm in the Dao of Space.

If it did, he would have long since been able to escape from the spiritual tree, as there would have been no way for it to chase after him even if it could track him, if he decided to move all the way to the other side of the continent.

Whoosh~!

Having already made up his mind, he didn’t hesitate for even a second, as he directly brought out the random teleportation talisman he had been carrying with him. Using it without the slightest hint of hesitation-

Swish~

Disappearing from his original location in an instant. Leaving behind no spatial ripples of traces that could be tracked in the process...
