Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

As he watched over his disciples who were all busy with their own things one last time, Xuan Hao didn’t linger around for long before he used the long-distance teleportation technique to leave the sect and head directly towards the Eastern Central Region where his second disciple was currently training on his own. Taking no longer than a few minutes to reach the Eastern Central Region with his current mastery of the Dao of Space, as an increased comprehension didn’t just make the overall strength of his Dao of Space stronger when it came to combat, but also made it far stronger when it came to something like the long-distance teleportation technique that he was starting to grow used to using when travelling longer distances.

Given that the safety measure he had left in place to keep Chu Yang safe could easily be tracked down by him, there wasn’t really any problems in finding out where he was hiding in the Eastern Central Region and he soon enough found him in secluded cultivation surrounded by not just the familiar Dao of the Spear, but also the Dao of Blood and what seemed like a faint presence of the Dao of Slaughter. Making it clear that he should have just emerged from a bloody battle and should be deep in meditation trying to comprehend these three Daos. Although, with how faint the presence of the Dao of Slaughter was, he doubted he would be able to comprehend it.

The Dao of Blood on the other hand, would almost certainly reach the Elementary Realm when he finished his meditation, but... More importantly than that, he could clearly sense that he was also attempting to integrate the Dao of Blood into his Dao of the Spear in the process, something that would in turn officially turn the Dao of the spear into his main Dao, while at the same time also ensuring that it would be far easier to integrate other related Daos into it in the future.

In a sense, it could be considered the first real step Chu Yang had ever taken along the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm since he had broken through to the realm, as the path towards advancing through the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm hinged almost entirely on strengthening one singular Dao to the extreme.

From what he knew about the Singular Path of the Dao Domain Lord Realm, the requirement to reach the Peak of the Dao Domain Lord Realm through this path would require one to break through to the Origin Realm in one’s main Dao, something that he was only now starting to understand the difficultly of after his Dao of Space had reached to the Peak of the Perfection Realm and the next step forward would be for him to reach this realm.

Although... He had a feeling that he would probably have been able to reach the Origin Realm if he had focused his full attention on comprehending and strengthening a single Dao.

After all, to this day he had comprehended no small number of Daos...

Daos: Perfection (Space, Sword, Ice), Large Success (Illusions, Formations, Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Corruption, Yin), Small Success (Fire, Light), Elementary Realm (Life)

And a quick glance through them on his status also made it clear that they were by no means at a low level, giving him more than enough confidence in facing off against a Dao that had reached the Origin Realm if he had to by making use of his unique domain to merge them together and display the unique abilities of someone who had gone through the Dao Domain Lord Realm by following the myriad path.

This unique domain and the ability to merge different Daos together and use them seamlessly through the power of one’s domain was honestly something he had believed everyone could do after breaking through to the Profound Immortal Realm and hadn’t really thought of as anything special back when he had first broken through to the Profound Immortal Realm, but after his recent visit to the Frozen Wastelands where he had the opportunity to witness two seniors who had at least reached the Land Creation Realm, along with the battle that followed shortly after between the ruler of the Frozen Wastelands and the spiritual tree, he had been able to confirm that this ability was unique to him.

This had made him feel a bit happy and more satisfied with having gone through the Dao Domain Lord Realm as it presented him with a clear advantage over others at the same realm, though... It did leave him wondering if there was anything else special that was different that he just hadn’t noticed yet...

Smiling to himself as he thought about discovering more such surprises in the future, Xuan Hao’s gaze slowly wandered back down to Chu Yang still in deep meditation contemplating the Dao of the Spear and the Dao of Blood, with the presence of the Dao of Slaughter lingering in the air around him.

”Hm... He won’t be done any time soon. Should I go back for now or perhaps take another look around the Eastern Central Region?” Posing this question to himself, he slowly turned to look in the direction of the massive city in the distance. From the Dao Seed Realm presence he sensed from the core of this city, it was clear that it should be part of one of the major powers of Eastern Central Region or at the very least a powerful clan or faction.

Although he could be said to be familiar with the locations of the different major powers core strongholds, he had no idea about the smaller cities that existed under them. For the simple reason that the information had been difficult to come by in the Northern Region in the past... And now that he had broken through to the Profound Immortal Realm, he didn’t really view a city guarded by someone in the Dao Seed Realm as a threat and had not bothered to learn about these different cities scattered throughout the Eastern Central Region.

Even if he did sense a powerful formation that should have been laid down by a formation master at the Third Heaven of the Saint Realm guarding the city, it would at most be able to unleash Early Stage Celestial Immortal Realm strength. Far from enough for him to take seriously now that he was at the Middle Stage of the Sea Formation Realm.

If anything, he had a feeling that he might be able to launch an attack towards the core of the formation through the Dao of Space fast enough that the formation wouldn’t even be able to react in time before being destroyed.

Thinking about it, Xuan Hao did start feeling a bit mischievous as his spiritual qi began to slowly gather in his left hand-

Swish-!

And the next second, this spiritual qi transformed into a small black sword that seamlessly merged with the space around it before shooting off in the direction of the city in the distance.

RUUUUUUMBLE-!

Not even a second after the small and harmless looking sword disappeared, a loud rumbling sound could be heard from the city in the distance, as Xuan Hao watched a towering formation rising to cover the massive city before suddenly breaking apart like a glass bowl being hit by a sledgehammer.

”Looks like the formation managed to activate in time. Impressive. A Saint Realm Formation Master is indeed not someone to underestimate.” Chuckling to himself as he said this, Xuan Hao felt a genuine sense of admiration for the formation master who had set up the formation guarding the city in the distance.

Even if the result was the same due to the massive difference in strength, the detection ability of the formation had far exceeded his expectations. Able to even pinpoint an attack that had been hidden in different layers of space. Hinting at the fact that the formation master should also be someone who had comprehended the Dao of Space.

If not, he or she wouldn’t have been capable of setting up a formation capable of detecting the faint spatial fluctuations produced by his attack just now!

...

”W-w-what was that!?”

”T-The city’s formation was broken!”

”Attack! We are under attack!”

At the same time Xuan Hao broke the formation guarding the city, everyone inside the city felt and saw it as well, as everyone began panicking. Thinking that the city was under attack.

However, as everyone was starting to panic, the one left most shocked by what was happening was none other than the Dao Seed Realm cultivator who oversaw the city and was in control of the formation protecting the city.

”H-How...?”

And the reason for this was not just because the formation had been broken in an instant, but because he saw the thing that had broken through the formation was only a single wisp of qi that had taken the form of a small sword that had directly pierced through the formation and into the crystal sphere serving as the core of the formation.

The small wisp of qi wasn’t what was scary. Instead, it was the terrifying dao fluctuations that came along with that small wisp of qi in the form of a sword.

Even as someone in the Dao Seed Realm who had seen plenty of seniors in the Celestial Immortal Realm during his long life, the fluctuations left him utterly terrified, as they far surpassed anything he had encountered before. Not to mention, the terrifying dao fluctuations came from two of the most terrifying Daos, the Dao of The Sword and the Dao Space!
