Chapter 139: The massacre begins

The moment the waiter heard this voice in his mind and looked at Ethan, he immediately knelt down. No one other than a cultivator could do such magic.

Though he had never met a cultivator before, he was sure of it.

Ethan had already isolated them with a barrier, so no one could see what was happening here. To outsiders, it only looked like the waiter was serving food.

Ethan said, ”Now then, tell me everything you know.”

The waiter nodded. ”Yes, sir.”

Then he started talking.

”I don’t know much, as this is a taboo topic in our kingdom and it happened almost 80 years ago. But I heard some news here and there, and also something from my father too. The Sillon family was the strongest family in our kingdom back then, on par with the royal family.

I heard the crown prince—rather, the present king—had taken the Sillon family’s daughter out, and she never came back. Her father went to the royal family to ask about this, but they immediately denied it. They said the prince had nothing to do with the disappearance of the Sillon family’s child.

And a huge clash escalated between the girl’s father and the king.

At that moment, the royal family charged her father with treason and declared that he would be publicly executed.

But the Sillon family was not a family of cowards. Their ancestors immediately went to the royal family and demanded they hand over the man of sillon family.

And with this, the war between the royal family and the Sillon family started.

Then we heard that the royal family had a cultivator supporting them. In one night, all 108 members and thousands of guards and maids of the Sillon family were killed.

The kingdom declared it a taboo matter, and no one could speak about it. If anyone did, they and their entire family would be publicly executed.”

Amelia was clenching her fist. So this was all a plot by the royal family to destroy her family.

They had come to the family with a marriage proposal. Then the prince took her away , and when the family accused the royal family of the act, they used it as a justification to retaliate. Maybe there was something that required such a justification.

Ethan sighed.

Humans are always the same,no matter which world or what type of world they were in. They could do anything for power and control.

They could become worse than the demons themselves.

There was no right or wrong in the world. Only strength determined the right or wrong.

History was always written by the king, not by the loser.

In this fight, though the Sillon family had martial power similar to that of the royal family, the royal family probably had the backing of a cultivator, as the waiter said—even if there was no evidence. So they killed everyone and even justified it,no one dared to question and the reason?

That’s simple. It was absolute power.

Some low-life cultivators who couldn’t keep up in the cultivation world probably came to the mortal world to show off their power. Ethan didn’t know if this was something similar, or if there was a secret behind it. He would find out soon.

Ethan then gave the waiter three more gold coins and left the restaurant after finishing the meal.

Ethan looked at Amelia.

”Whatever you want to do, just do it. Nobody in this world can come between you and your revenge. That’s a promise from me, your master, Ethan Hunt.”

Amelia’s tears were falling again. She never thought her master would cherish her with this much care.

She bowed to him and said,

”I thank you, Master. I, Amelia Sillon, now belong to you eternally, and you alone.”

She had become his slave, but she didn’t think of Ethan as her master from the bottom of her heart—until now. Now, she recognized Ethan as her eternal master.

Ethan only nodded.

”Let’s go then. The royal family will not see the sun rise tomorrow.”

Soon, they both disappeared.

Amelia had the strength of an emperor—a peak emperor at that. It was equivalent to the Transcendence Tribulation Realm cultivator in this world.

She could easily destroy that royal family unless a variable occurred.

And even if a variable occurred, Ethan was there to tackle that situation.

They appeared in front of the royal castle. It was a huge structure with a 1 km² area.

Guards were everywhere. They were all stronger than the average normal guy.

Ethan didn’t come to the front. He was watching from the shadows. Until now, there were no cultivators in this castle.

Amelia came to the front gate.

The guards looked at her and shouted,

”Who are you, woman? This is the area of the royal castle. Don’t you know it is restricted to wander around here without permission?”

One of the guards asked.

Amelia said calmly, ”You have one minute to leave this area, or else you all will die.”

She didn’t want to kill innocents, but if they stayed here and tried to obstruct her, they would die.

One of the guards started laughing.

”What is this bitch talking about? Kill us? You?”

Then he pushed his neck forward and said, ”Kill me, bitch,if you dare. I’m so scared. Look how vulnerable I am.”

Then everyone started laughing.

And puchi!

The man’s head rolled off his neck. A fountain of blood gushed out from the wound and painted his comrades’ faces and clothes.

Silence. Utter silence. The guards couldn’t process what had just happened for a moment.

Then one of them started screaming with all his might.

Seeing one of them die by the hand of a fragile-looking woman, they were utterly frightened and furious.

The leader roared, ”You will die, bitch!”

He took out his sword and was about to swing it forward, but before he could do that, his head also flew off.

The other guards, who were also about to draw their swords, started running away like ants.

They screamed,

”Infiltration! The palace is under attack! Help us!”

Amelia wasn’t in a hurry. She would take her vengeance slowly to make it more satisfying.
