Chapter 133: Alex has awakened his soul

Melissa was in her battle form.

Though she was suppressing her aura, even the residual aura was vastly superior to the dragon.

Melissa looked coldly at Asmodius’s projection.

”You filthy demons tried to infiltrate this sacred land where all our ancestors sacrificed their lives just to bring a new morning to this universe. Even the Supreme Demon Ancestor sacrificed his valiant soul so that you filthy scums could live a safe life. But you totally disregarded his contribution and tried to steal his corpse, didn’t you? Maybe it is time the demon realm faced a purge.”

She didn’t want to kill unless necessary. The universe needed all its fighting power for the upcoming apocalypse. But she saw the cold look in Ethan’s eyes. Those were the eyes she had seen before. That was the moment she had witnessed the aura of death within Ethan’s gaze. She could still see that same deathly glint.

It was clear Ethan wanted her to kill this dragon.

So she sighed and raised her hand to finish off the dragon, but Ethan spoke at that exact moment,

”Let him go.”

Ethan had other ideas for him. He would soon go to Aetherion, where he would obtain the Extraction talent and the Shadow Monarch talent. It would be a pity not to add such a magnificent creature to his Shadow Legion. So he would deal with it when he got that talent.

Melissa heaved a sigh of relief.

If Ethan hadn’t stopped her, she would have had to kill for sure.

This conversation was heard by everyone.

They heard all of this but could no longer process what was going on.

The envoys of the sects all knelt down. The disciples, the elders, everyone.

They had felt the pressure of death from the monster that was about to swallow the sun. Then they saw an even greater pressure coming from that woman. Then they saw the woman was listening the order of this senior infront of them.

One thing was clear. They were in the presence of an existence far beyond their comprehension, far beyond their worthiness.

But the one who was most surprised was not the people of this world—it was Asmodius himself.

He was one of the Seven Eternal Rulers of the Demon Realm, the Cardinal Demon of Gluttony.

He had lived for countless eons. He was alive when the apocalypse had hit their universe. He had seen the departure of the Demon Ancestor with his own eyes.

He knew what these people didn’t know. So Melissa Doombringer was a name known to everyone back then.

She was the Unbound Tyrant who didn’t even fear the Supremes. One time, she had attacked the Demon Realm. That time Five Cardinal Demons had to fight her simultaneously just to force her to withdraw.

There was a rule. The Supremes would not intervene in the matters of the universe unless a Supreme made a move first or a danger arose that could not be resolved by anyone other than the Supremes.

So the Saint was always the ruler-class entity in the universe.

But today, this Melissa—the Melissa Doombringer—listened to the order of an unknown boy who had an ant-like presence in his eyes.

What the fuck was going on?

The way Ethan had ordered Melissa was like an absolute decree, like a ruler commanding his subject. And Melissa had complied like one.

Asmodius, for the first time, leaned back on his throne in his palace in the 9 th level of the demon realm. His hand was on his head. He wanted to figure out something that now seemed beyond his comprehension.

Ethan was definitely not a nobody, that was certain. Then who was he, that even Melissa had to listen to his command?

Melissa looked at the dragon that was still frozen in place.

She said coldly, ”You still didn’t disappear in front of my eyes? Perhaps you don’t want to return.”

The colossal dragon was speechless.

”Miss, please unseal me first. How the heck would I go if you don’t let me go?” But it couldn’t even utter its inner thoughts here.

The Great Dragon of Karmic Fire, the strongest general under Eternal Ruler Asmodius, feared by the whole upper realm, was now being immobilized like an insect. This was a stain on his glorious record. But what could he do? He was facing the one and only Melissa Doombringer. Even his master had chickened out in front of her. What could he, a little dragon, possibly do?

Melissa suddenly realized her mistake—that she hadn’t unsealed the lock she placed on this dragon—but she acted in a composed manner and slapped the dragon’s head.

The moment her hand touched the dragon, she unsealed it and made it disappear from the lower dimension.

Then she looked toward the Demon Realm.

”Listen, you filthy demons. This was your last and final chance. If you ever dare to disturb the lower realm again, I will surely visit your Demon Realm.”

She bowed toward Ethan and disappeared.

Ethan didn’t say anything.

He looked at those kneeling people and asked them to go back. The topic of the summon was already clear in front of everyone. There was no need for a meeting anymore.

Then he returned to the sect. Klein followed him inside.

Ethan looked at Elder Trevor, ”Help Alex awaken his soul. I would like to see what his soul is.”

Trevor immediately bowed like a little child and took Alex to the Awakening Hall with utmost respect. Alex was now someone to whom he could only show respect—nothing else.

Alex sat on the circle.

Elder Trevor activated the circle and boom!

Again, the same phenomenon as Ethan’s appeared. It was an even bigger phenomenon. Because Ethan had controlled the phenomenon when it reached a 100 km radius, as he didn’t want to attract attention at that time. But Alex’s case was totally different.

He had Ethan as his backer. There was no need to suppress the phenomenon.

Ethan was observing Alex very carefully. Then he saw an ethereal green lotus forming in the soul space. The lotus started to absorb energy voraciously.

The light of the circle immediately reached a dark violet color.

Elder Trevor wasn’t much surprised this time as he looked toward Ethan, who was closely observing Alex.

He could only smile wryly, ”One monster after another. Our Overlord Sect has become the den of monsters, haha.”

The phenomenon had already reached a 1000 km radius. It was still expanding. All the top powerhouses of the world sensed the phenomenon. But when they saw it was coming from the Overlord Sect, they immediately went back to their sleep, as if saying, ”We would pretend like we didn’t see anything.”

The green lotus, though it showed a dark violet color, only did so because the capacity of that circle was limited to this level.

But Ethan saw everything clearly. It turned from violet to golden, golden to white, then white to dark black.

So it was two levels higher than even Klein’s golden-grade angel soul.

And Ethan had some idea what that lotus might be. So he teleported behind Alex and placed his hand on his back.

Then he started infusing his energy into the lotus. This lotus wouldn’t fully bloom if it only absorbed energy from this lower world, even if it sucked the world dry.

It should be the Primordial Chaos Lotus.

He was right. Alex was another son of destiny. He was probably the strongest son of destiny in this universe, worthy to be one of Ethan Hunt’s future generals.
