Chapter 114: Astonishment of everyone

This time, all the elders came out from the overlord sect to see who had comprehended such sword intent.

Even the elder of the Sword Sect had an astonished look on his face. Behind him, the young man with a cut under his eyes opened his eyes for the first time.

He hadn’t considered any of these ants as his opponents. At the age of 27, he had comprehended level 3 sword intent and possessed a blue-grade soul—Crimson Sword.

It was his pride and joy. He felt even the Holy Sons and Daughters from the Sword Sect weren’t his opponents now. When he returned, he would challenge a Holy Son and defeat him, then he would become one himself.

But now, he felt something similar to what he had comprehended with all his effort since his awakening. But this feeling... it was as if a peasant was meeting the sovereign for the first time. They were both human but on totally different levels of existence.

The young man was Damien.

He wanted to go down and fight that man from the Overlord Sect. He wanted to defeat him because he felt inferior right now. He didn’t like this feeling at all.

Norman, who was running at full speed, felt this tremendous pressure and was forced to stop. His sixth sense told him,if he attacked that man, he would die. But his pride didn’t let him admit defeat.

That slight hesitation was all Ethan needed to strike. Norman flew away like a ragdoll, straight out of the arena, and stopped below their flying vessel of his sect. All his orifices were bleeding.

The elder of the Sword Sect was so jealous now. How could this backward sect from this backward continent have someone with this much talent? If he were a member of my sect... Damn! I need to recruit him—or destroy him. Only the Sword Sect can have this kind of prodigy in this continent. No other sect is worthy.”

His eyes turned venomous. He looked at Damien and ordered, ”Go defeat him. If you can, the top spirit sword you always wanted will be gifted to you.” Then he ordered him in a low voice to kill that boy. He would handle the aftermath.

Damien’s eyes lit up with greed when he heard he could have that top spirit sword which would increase his fighting prowess at least 5 times, then turned cold instantly when he heard the order. He also wanted to kill the person who made him feel inferior.

On the Overlord Sect side, every disciple stood frozen—even the elders.

This level of sword intent was comprehended by someone from our sect? How could that be?

The elders knew their sect better than the disciples. There was no worthy sword cultivator in the sect who might have guided this child to comprehend sword intent at this level.

So that meant he had a fortuitous encounter. Luck was also part of a cultivator’s strength. It could even be said to be the biggest strength.

Soon, a tremendous aura came from behind. Everyone looked toward it. The elders bowedand also the disciples bowed. The Sect Master had arrived.

Sect Master Luther calmly nodded at them. Then he asked one of the elders, ”Do you know that boy? Does he have a high family background in sword cultivation? How did he comprehend such a level? Even I’ve never seen anyone using this level of sword intent before.”

Meanwhile Rudi, the protagonist of this entire scene, was basking in the glory of praise and ashtonishment. He had never come into the spotlight like this. He was good at best, not a genius.

But today, he made a good decision by listening to the order of that senior, and that’s why he was basking in the glory. He wanted to kiss the senior’s toe but didn’t know who it was.

Then Rudi again lost control of his body, and looked at Damien, who was being instructed by the elder of the Sword Sect.

”You, aren’t you the strongest one among these people? Why don’t you come down here and let this daddy teach you a lesson, boy? I promise, I’ll be gentle.”

Damien’s mind blanked instantly. No one had ever touched his pride, never, ever. He had killed his parents because they tried to make him marry a girl he didn’t deem worthy and then joined the Sword Sect.

He had always lived his own way. Now, a small bug from a tiny sect was provoking him,Damien Chazelle? He would kill this ant, even if it meant dying here.

Damien jumped from the flying boat and landed in the arena directly. He took out his sword and activated his ultimate attack, which burned his life force to give him more power. He combined his crimson sword soul with his sword.

He had over 2 billion tonnes of strength. With this attack and technique, his power reached 15 billion tonnes. If this landed on Rudi, he would be vaporized instantly—no doubt.

The Sect Master said in a hurry, ”Not good. He wants to kill.” He immediately moved to save the boy who had comprehended such sword intent. He was a supreme treasure of his sect. There was no way he could let him die. But he was standing quite far away. Damien’s attack came down like a hurricane, destroying everything in its path.

Ethan had already measured the attack power.

With sword intent, Rudi’s attack power reached 1.8 billion.

Ethan instantly used the level 5 Extinction technique, which gave him 12x amplification.

A cataclysmic power rushed out from Rudi’s sword. Even the sword was fractured,it wasn’t powerful enough to withstand such force.

The Sect Master instantly stopped. This time the elder from the Sword Sect moved. He could feel the horrifying power of the attack Rudi had just unleashed. There was no way Damien could make it out alive. Moreover, he was already in a weakened state as he had used his life source to power up his attack.

But it was too late. Rudi’s sword attack engulfed Damien and instantly vaporized him.

In the last moment of his death, Damien saw the kind smile of his mother, the proud look of his father when he looked at him. They weren’t from a great family. That’s why his father wanted Damien to marry a girl from a good family,to gain more resources. But Damien had taken that as an insult on his pride and killed them.

Maybe he felt a little sad for it but not much. His parents were trying to trample his pride afterall.

”No! You bastard! I’ll kill you! This was just a practice match! Why would you kill him? Why?! You have to repay with your life for this sin!” That was the last line Damien heard before he turned into cosmic particles. Elder Konrad was still a hypocrite, after all haha.
