Chapter 113: Rudi the badass

The sword was about to cut down Rudi’s hand, but when the sword was about 1 cm away from his hand, Rudi’s mind was screaming, ”I am screwed, that senior totally screwed me. There is no way I can avoid this attack.”

But then his body moved,so precisely that the sword passed away, the tip of his hand hair touched the blade but wasn’t damaged.

Everyone was looking at this scene wide-eyed. Some had their jaws dropped, especially those who knew Rudi. Rudi was one of the top talents in the sect, that’s for sure, but they also knew there was no way Rudi could pull off that move. What’s going on?

Even Rudi himself was dumbfounded. What a precise movement. Good thing that I didn’t curse him loudly, or else...

He was sweating heavily. All the adrenaline released at once.

Ethan used one of the fundamental laws of nature—electromagnetism, through which all the body impulses passed, and the body reacted. Ethan blocked all of Rudi’s impulses and inserted artificial impulses to make the body react as he wanted. Only using mental energy would be too tough to win this battle.

Steven, whose sword had just brushed past Rudi and its tip sunked in the ground, still had a disbelieving look. ”I was sure I could cut that bastard off. How can he dodge my sword? That must be a fluke. Yes, that’s right.” He got back his confidence instantly and took his sword out of the ground.

”I must say you are lucky, mate. But you won’t be lucky all the time.” Steven dashed again, this time using his movement technique. Rudi felt like he vanished from his eyes.

The disciples of the Overlord Sect who had just heaved a sigh of relief, now again in high panic. They couldn’t see Steven’s movement at all. But Rudi now had full confidence in his backer, so he didn’t panic much.

The movement was very fast for others, but for Ethan it was like a snail crawling in 5000 times slow motion in a high-tech camera.

Again, at the last moment, Rudi moved. But this time he not only moved, he slightly put his fist under Steven’s chin.

Steven was at high speed. When the fist connected with his chin, he felt like his brain was mashed. He couldn’t think properly and almost blacked out.

Steven slammed onto the ground with a thump. No one reacted at first. Their brains still hadn’t processed the scene. They didn’t expect or even imagine such a ridiculous outcome.

A Purple Palace 1st Level defeated a Purple Palace 9th. What the actual heck was going on?

When did Rudi—our Rudi, become this badass? Even that girl who tried to stop him before was looking at Rudi like he was an alien.

Rudi was dumbfounded for a second but then instantly, his face lit up and he roared in laughter. ”Hahahaha! This is all you got, mate? A punch and you’re down? I thought I met a real man today, sigh, turned out you’re just another child with the face of a man. Please someone take this brother off the stage.”

Steven could hear him. He wanted to get up, kill this bastard in an instant, but his body wouldn’t listen to him. Ethan used the law of gravity on Steven, that’s why he was feeling so heavy and also the law of electromagnetism. His body wasn’t responding to him.

Soon, two students came down from the vessel of the Sword Sect and took Steven out of the arena.

Ethan ordered Rudi to ask for a sword.

Rudi was stunned,he couldn’t use a sword. But he obliged the order. ”Elder Valkan, can I have a sword please?”

This caused another gasp among the Overlord disciples. Everyone knew Rudi was a gauntlet user and he had never used a sword before. Rudi’s performance was off the charts right now. So Valkan immediately ordered a disciple to hand over his sword to Rudi.

So a disciple threw his sword toward Rudi.

Rudi put down his gauntle and caught the sword in mid air and shouted, ”Anyone from the Sword Sect under 30 can come and fight me. I’ll stand right here. If you are capable of defeating me, I’ll kowtow to everyone. But if not, all of you will kowtow to the Overlord Sect and get out.”

Rudi declared boldly. Instantly, his body started sweating. ”What the fuck? Why would he say such a suicidal thing?”

His mouth wasn’t under his control at all.

Senior, what are you doing? But he didn’t say this out loud. He just looked at the disciples of the Sword Sect, and when he saw the eyes of those disciples, which were cold and murderous—he swallowed hard.

”I am sorry, brothers. I’m going to lay down my life for the sect’s dignity.” He was trying to console himself. But couldn’t. To hell with dignity, ”I want to run away!”

He was nearly in tears.

Soon, another man came down from the vessel of the Sword Sect and entered the arena. He looked at Rudi calmly and introduced himself.

”I am Norman. Green Soul—Sabertooth Tiger.”

A huge tiger manifested behind him. It was radiating a terrifying aura.

Norman was a top-class fighter, even among the 9th level Purple Palace cultivators.

Rudi said, ”Come, punk. No need to be so polite. I don’t remember the names of my defeated enemies.”

Rudi instantly wanted to slap his mouth. Tears were coming out of his eyes. ”He’s going to kill me. That senior must really hate me, right?”

Norman’s face turned black. He said just one word. ”Good.”

Then he took out his sword and dashed forward with his ultimate movement technique and most powerful sword attack. He wanted to finish this bastard. The aftermath would be handled by the elder and others. He couldn’t swallow this humiliation.

But suddenly Rudi came to a stance. He straightened his body, the sword in front of him like a divine knight.

Then a horrendous amount of sword intent burst out from his body. The surrounding disciples stepped back because the pressure of this sword intent was unbearable.

Norman had 1.1 billion tons of strength. If he landed one blow on Rudi, Rudi would become meat paste instantly. But as he neared him, he also felt the terrifying sword intent coming from his opponent.
