Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 728: Chapter 727: Little fairy, long time no see

Nia Mitchell pouted, seemingly unable to refuse.

”Okay.”

Hand in hand, the two of them headed towards the garden. The flowers in the garden were blooming brilliantly, making it extraordinarily beautiful.

Nia Mitchell gazed at this sight, her eyes sparkling.

”Uncle, it seems even more beautiful than it was a few days ago.”

The thing is, all these flowers seemed to be different from those a few days ago. Wow, doesn’t this mean they change the flowers in the garden often? That must cost a fortune.

”Really?”

Maxwell Peary didn’t care about these things and never paid them any attention. He, who seldom came to the garden, had really changed a lot lately.

”As long as you like it.”

This was Maxwell Peary’s answer, and when he looked at her, a hint of laughter touched his eyes.

Such a dazzling Maxwell Peary could attract everyone’s attention.

Seeing this, a smile also spread across Nia Mitchell’s face.

”Uncle, could we come and take a stroll in the garden whenever we’re free?”

Both of them were in their pajamas. Nia Mitchell nestled against him, her face full of happiness.

Seeing her like this made his heart feel exceptionally warm.

”Hmm.”

At this moment, Maxwell Peary forgot all his various affairs, forgot about the Company, forgot about the Black Market; his heart held only her. He responded with a low hum; though devoid of inflection, it felt like a promise.

After their walk, they leisurely returned to the Bedroom.

Perhaps because she had played all day, Nia Mitchell was truly tired. The moment she touched the large bed, she fell soundly asleep.

Maxwell Peary lovingly reached out to smooth her stray hair. An expression flickered across his face, but it was indistinct and hard to understand. In his eyes, there was another emotion that he didn’t express, nor did he know how to.

「A week later」

Her period finally ended, and Nia Mitchell hopped into the CEO’s car cheerfully.

”Uncle, I feel like I haven’t worked in a long time.”

Nia Mitchell blinked, the smile on her face somewhat unnatural.

She now worked in the Secretary Department. Having been away for so long, she wondered if people had been gossiping about her.

”Do you want to go to work then?”

It seemed like a casual question, yet it could decide her immediate future.

Nia Mitchell was taken aback, her smile stiffening a little.

”Of course I do. It’s you who are exaggerating by not letting me work.”

Nia Mitchell began to complain. It was only her period, and she herself didn’t think it was a big deal, but the CEO had actually given her time off. It made her incredibly bored at home alone.

Upon arriving at MC Group, Nia Mitchell got out of the car and, as usual, abandoned the CEO to take the elevator up alone.

The Secretary Department, usually bustling with activity, fell silent the instant they saw Nia Mitchell walk in.

Um... Why did it feel like being in high school, where the whole class went silent the moment the teacher arrived?

”Good morning, everyone.”

Nia Mitchell greeted them and then sat down at her desk.

Having not been there for a week, Nia Mitchell touched her seat and found it spotless.

Huh? Someone must have cleaned it for her.

”Nia Mitchell, is CEO Peary coming soon?” Diana Hill asked immediately, her face alight with curiosity.

Nia Mitchell was a bit embarrassed, so she just nodded, put her bag away, and turned on her computer.

What no one expected was that before the CEO passed by, it was Alan Morgan who appeared at the door of the Secretary Department.
